Wow! Chacho Sushi totally exceeded my expectations with their fully cooked sushi platter tray! We ordered from their online website for pickup, and when we got there at our estimated pick up time, they were busy with a full house! It was good vibes and a nice comfortable neighborhood spot for families friends, or date night. Since our order wasn't ready, the waitress offered us hot tea and a seat at the bar while we waited. All of their sashimi at the bar looked fresh and areas were clean and organized. For the platter, we ordered the I.Special Hot Roll Tray. Sushi rice was all well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Flavors were all great, and all rolls were a little bit different that offered variety. Things I usually get weary about for new Sushi spots, is fishyness or deep fried/cooked rolls coming out super dry and hard. My hubby and I came here for lunch yesterday. This is our fifth time. As usual we were greeted by a lady and were seated right away. They had the FIFA finals on, so that was a plus! The rainbow rolls rice and crab is moist, the fish melts in your mouth and so full of flavors. The avocado on the top was a great touch as well. The volcano roll was warm and yummy. This roll melt in your mouth as you chew it. Both were Soooo fresh and delicious!!!! The sashimi deluxe presentation was beautiful in a huge white bowl, filled with ice and daikon strings, orchid flowers and fish eggs. The 4 types of fish were beautifully decorated on the top. This is my second time visiting ChaCho and the reason I came back is the *attention to detail* that the server and chef has. The menu is pretty extensive, we noticed a lot of the rolls have cream cheese in them so if that's your thing, come by. Overall, the food was solid, but nothing special. Turned out to be about $50 for 2 rolls and an order of gyoza. Service was quick since we were the only ones in there, but we had to get their attention. The salmon teriyaki is a bit of a thin cut, but the flavor was great and salmon was soft too. Also for the price and the other food that you get, it's still pretty filling. Service is fast and the staff are sweet. Handle the food and packaging with care when I went to pick the food up. The environment is clean and does get a bit busy during lunch time. Another side note is that it is a bit hard to find parking. But the food and price are worth it! Most likely I would continue to get pick up to avoid finding parking. We went for an early dinner mid-week. There was one person waiting tables. It was clean and in good repair. The service was good, the sushi was good and it was good proportions. The rice was perfectly cooked. The fish was good quality, not great but I can't complain about that because it matched the price. We had a bottle of sake as well. The dashi used for the miso soup was really good. I did notice in a review below that they have allowed dogs inside the restaurant. This is against California Health and Safety Code section 114259.5, with exceptions for service dogs. This is for good reason, and if we come back and we see a dog in the restaurant we will leave immediately and not return. There is no outdoor seating in this restaurant where pet dogs would be legally allowed. read more

Hard to describe this place. I did not expect too much as it's in the outer Mission area between the Excelsior and Mission Terrace. When you walk in you're greeted with the nicest friendly staff I've seen in quite a while. The area is inside is nice and clean. The menu is refreshingly full of options. Each of the roles they delivered to us were warm the fish of high-quality, and the taste was original. That is why I'm giving this five stars, I've been to many sushi restaurants in San Francisco in this place has carved its own niche of Scrumptious food. They're still in their soft opening phase, so they have this deal for a free drink (choice of soda, beer or sake) with your meal. They have quite an extensive menu! It took the three of us a bit to figure out what we wanted. Our server was welcoming, nice and attentive and started us off with complimentary hot sakes and a soda. We ordered 3 rolls: a San Bruno, XXX, and lobster special roll. All were very good and tasty. The triple X was a bit spicy but nothing I couldn't handle. We enjoyed their rolls! 5/5 6 piece sashimi and beef teriyaki ~ my bf got this dinner combo. Unfortunately, he didn't like how the beef was cooked. It was very thin, well done and very pale, as if the pan was cold when the meat hit the pan and it started boiling verses being grilled or seared. So the meat was not tender or juicy. The sauce helped, but meat should be juicy on its own. The sashimi was bland too. Usually salmon would have a creaminess. This had no flavor. Probably will not order this again. 2/5 If it weren't for their service and warm hospitality, I would have taken off another star. I understand they're still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. However, I do hope they will cook their beef better or ask how customers would like their meat cooked. However, the food is definitely not worthy of the higher ratings. It's not bad per se, but just off. The nori used in the rolls has a strange chemical taste, and the special rolls lack distinctive flavors, they seem to just be sort of thrown together, without you being able to discern what you're eating.
