I'm Thai and very picky about my they have the best Pad See Ew I've ever tried! Great place.

Can't say much besides that I'm really disappointed. If I could I would give this place 0 stars. I went there after I had lunch at a nearby establishment. I talked to the waiter and asked him what his favorite dishes were. I ordered the Drunken Noodles, chicken, hot at 1:05pm. I then proceeded to wait at the front of the restaurant while a couple and another gentleman grabbed a seat after I had placed my order. 10 minutes go by and nothing... no big deal. 20 minutes go by and now the couple and the gentleman that were seated after me received their food. I brought it up to the waiter and he said it would just be a couple more minutes... How? I placed an order before them and there were both noodle and soup dishes at those tables. I work literally 3 blocks away and I love Thai food and I will steer clear of this establishment. Off to find a great Thai restaurant. It's definitely not here. Also.... the waiter said sorry for the time delay they had the food inspector come by and I guess there were some drastic changes that had needed to be made. That's not something I want to hear about a restaurant I'm grabbing food from. I ended up not even getting my food following the 25 minute wait. I had to return to work. What a waste. read more

Went in last night for dinner at 8.30ish pm. Greeted by a guy who right away looked at his watch as if we're there too late ! What a welcome service. We ordered Panay curry with chicken & Pad Thai. The Panang was literally had little chicken with ONE basil leave ! That's it. Pad Thai was way too sweet. They didn't use PadThai noodles but other kind of rice noddles (???) that served over cooked . Very few veggies. It's a ripped off charge . You served us low qualities of foods with very very minimal customer service. It is unfair to treat people who comes to your restaurant to give you business !!!! read more

Oh Chada Thai, you evil temptress! You captured my heart with that tantalizing Thoum Yum - a huge bowl of soup with lime leaves, tomatoes, onions and slivers of lemon grass.Then you continued to entice me with that creamy Pa-nang Curry. Just when I thought I had indulged in several decatent vegetarian options, you brought out the Coconut Ice cream. While it was delicious, the warm deep-fried banana wrapped in a flaky eggroll was the perfect touch. I'm anxiously awaiting our next encounter. read more

I used to love this place, for there and take out; however, the last several times i've gotten from there, it's been one issue or another. Food quality has gone downhill, flavor not what it used to be. Service is worse than ever, borderline on rude(not the very curt guy either, the new people). Steer clear from them. Awesome food and incredible value. This will be a routine staple after stumbling in on a whim. Possibly the best Thai I've found in Denver, but will have to try more dishes. Very authentic vibe. I've gotten take out a few times and have dined in as well and every time I'm surprised by just how good it is. Really tasty Thai food! The dining room is small so this may be more of a takeaway spot, but don't let that deter you. The flavors are nuanced and well constructed, with just the right amount of heat. They're pretty busy but food still comes out of the kitchen quickly. Definitely recommend a visit. read more

Unhelpful when they delivered the wrong order with ingredients that I am allergic to and cannot eat. The manager tried to blame GrubHub, and suggested I just ask for a refund, then when I asked if they could just deliver the correct order, the manager claimed they didn't have any drivers. So, no dinner and now we're trying to get a refund from GrubHub. That's not acceptable or cool in my book. read more

IMO, the best atmosphere of any Thai place in town. The food is darn good, too. Service is friendly and attentive. If I lived closer, I would eat here frequently. I will always have a soft spot for Chada because the owner used to have a Thai restaurant near Stapleton (on Quebec) way back when (with her husband, who has since passed away). Great, authentic Thai food, but they always take longer than expected for take out, and they are a bit more expensive than the other Cap Hill Thai places (we have a LOT). Great larb but it's about $3-4 more than the others, and same for the papaya salad. It's definitely a fancier atmosphere than the others, so that makes sense. We both ordered the panang curry. Great flavor and good portion. The bring out rice in a shareable bowl. Not sure I liked that (since some people at the table may eat more rice). The table next to us asked for more rice, and the waitress explained that it would cost extra. When the table agreed she said 'how many scoops? We charge per scoop.' I dont like that. This is a date place, great atmosphere. The Thai basil, kaffir lime leaves, and other spices growing in the windows are a nice touch. It has a great patio and is near several other bars for a drink afterwards (thin man and vine street pub). The food is great though not very spicy (hot). read more

This is the best I have had outside of Thailand. Their spiciness levels were a little on the low side for me so tell me them extra hot if you like your Thai to make you sweat a little. And, they brought a wrong dish, then charged us for the higher-costing one after their mistake. We got the spring rolls, and they were below average, without a doubt. So, in case you're wondering after reading the description what it is, let me tell you - it's those teeny white rice noodles that sesame tofu is usually served on top of. That's your main dish. What the hell? I don't think there's a way to make that cost anywhere more than $4, yet somehow it does. I was confused. I do have to say, the sauce was awesome, and that kept me eating it, but whatever was going on beneath it didn't please me. Now, I understand that mee krob ARE those noodles, yes, but the ratio of noodle to other ingredients was laughable. My girlfriend got the pad thai and was less than impressed. We ordered the coconut sticky rice with brown sugar, and they brought out the jasmine flan. We then had to wait about ten minutes for the owner to come out so we could get the right thing. Now, as a veteran server, I would have charged for the less-expensive one at our cost, because that was a mistake on my part. Nope. They didn't. We had the mee krob (which my roommate is obsessed with, and it's hard to find other places) and the vegetarian yellow curry. The mee krob was fantastic, just the right amount of spice and super nice and crunchy. I think I have had better curries but there were lots of veggies and firm tofu, it was a tasty meal. We had takeout so I cannot attest to the service or the ambience, but the waitress was really sweet about taking our super late order (they were just about to close), and I really appreciated that she was smiling and welcoming. read more

I think this place isn't my A-number one favorite but it's up there! Maybe it's because I live close by. I have tried most of the thai places around central Denver and this one is one of the better kept secrets. I feel that the dishes are somewhat more authentic so it's worth coming back for. I'm a curry fan, my husband loves the coconut chicken soup and most everyone else loves the pad thai. I feel that all of the regular standby dishes are good. Pad thai can be either too sweet or too oily but Chada Thai's dish is neither, it's just fine. The pad prik king is wonderful and the pad kra pow is lovely too. Some of the drawbacks: The customer service isn't the friendliest. Usually you go into any thai restaurant and they are full of smiles and you feel welcome. When you deal with the guy behind the counter at Chada Thai you get a sense that he's just there for a paycheck or if he's family then he's there out of obligation. The portions aren't that big. Maybe it's because it's so good you want more and more and more. And maybe we're all just a bunch of fat Americans who think bigger is better. I would have liked a bigger portion for the money but I don't feel cheated so I guess that's ok. They don't deliver. I think if they would deliver we may be ordering from them 2-3 times a week! But since we are lazy (fat Americans) we order take out just every now and then. Either way, eat in or order out. Chada Thai will not disappoint. Now if you want REALLY great thai food make a trek all the way over to US Thai Cafe at 26th & Sheridan. It's worth every penny! read more

Easily our favorite Thai place in Denver. Service is super friendly, and the taste of their menu items always hits the mark. Any dietary requests or restrictions, they try and accommodate as best as possible. Now living in Arvada, we make it a point to stop here whenever downtown. Best Thai in Denver for sure. I order Thai from various places on a weekly basis and this is by far the best. The Pad See Ew is incredibly flavorful and cooked properly. It's just saucy enough but the noodles are all stuck together. The chicken and vegetables are so good and not over cooked. the 2 guys that work here belong in a college bar. You get the feeling they are struggling to be nice. Today, i was trying to order takeout. when i went in i was not greeted and made to wait, then, when the a twenty something guy with tatoos strolled out, he just stood there looking at me as if i was inconveniencing him. he said "were not serving anymore today." i expained ild been given a menu about 10 minutes ago, why not?
