If you like paying $12 to get three slices of beef in your pho this the place for you. Also if you like restaurants that don't welcome you when you walk in and act surprised when you tell them you're there to eat, then this place is for you. Sarcasm aside, my girlfriend and I walked in for lunch and the person behind the sushi counter did not greet or acknowledge us and gave us an odd look. They then rang a bell and some lady down the hallway asks, what I was there for. Since they're a restaurant , I thought the answer would be obvious. Their Pho wasn't anything special. And as I mentioned, they skimp on the beef. It's mostly noodle and broth. I'm giving it three stars because my girlfriend had their curry and pad Thai and it was good! Pho is a Vietnamese dish and I think they're trying too hard to incorporate Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese food under one roof. If I have to season my own food more than the kitchen did originally...big problem. I ordered the Garlic chicken, level 3. The chicken was bland and lacked spice. Also ordered the Satay chicken and it came out with an almost gelatinous texture and overly citrusy flavor. They even charged us a dollar for a ramekin of yum yum sauce that we wouldn't have even needed if the food had come out flavorful in the first place... Whew! This was some crappy food. Not sure if I'd even call it Thai Food. Sorry...but this is not good food..if you have any other Thai food to compare it to outside of Mt Juliet. The steamed potstickers were Ice cold. Yuk. Trash. The Paid Thai was bland and the chicken was like chewing cardboard. The Spicy Basil Chicken Stir Fry was more cardboard chicken with a liquid on it and some veggies. The side of rice that came with it was maybe two tablespoons of rice. We used to dine here regularly because the food is good and it's close to our home. Recently I stopped here after work and ordered sushi and a beer while I waited. I noticed customers arriving after me were being served and thought the sushi guy must be very busy. 35 minutes later - still no sushi. I asked the server for my check and was presented with the full bill - sushi and beer. When I pointed out the sushi never arrived, she acted surprised and apologized. Hey, mistakes happen but, I had to leave. I gave her another chance to let me know the beer was gratis for my wasted time but, she returned with a bill for the beer! The one thing I love the most at Chad's is the Crab Rangoon...not anymore. All I taste is an oily taste, and sometimes a stale taste . I don't know if the wontons were changed or the oil. The egg rolls were all over out of the bag and the sauce broke open I saved the container my fried rice tasted like burnt popcorn ! The rice had pieces that were black . These Thai places think we all don't know they can buy a 100 lbs of rice for $25 there is no reason that fried rice with chicken is $20 ! The menu held your usual options for this type of restaurant. You had your pho's, your noodle & rice dishes, bento boxes, and finally your sushi. There was a decent number of sushi roll choices but I didn't see any other options, like sashimi or nigiri on the menu(but hey I could've overlooked them). One order of fried gyozas, hot green tea, and 4 sushi rolls later and I was glad I gave them a shot. Would I drive to Mt. Juliet just for this? It's so distracting it's hard to eat in there. I've been in about 3 times, and it sounds like listening to karaoke. Or it's super sad piano instrumentals of terrible pop songs. At points during eating the volume seems to swell and everyone starts looking around at each other and laughing like "what is this?". It's almost kinda funny, but it's seriously distracting. Well, that's changed! Chada has a great sushi selection and their sushi has been superb! My husband and I went to this place two days in a row ever since their grand opening, which was only four days ago. Let me just say one word...WOW. I highly recommend this place since everything we've ordered from their menu was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint. Both their Thai and Japanese dishes exceeded our expectations! It's very hard to find real authentic Thai dishes nowadays and this place was right on point when it comes to real, bold flavors. They've even nailed one of my favorite Thai/Lao dishes called Papaya Salad paired with Sticky Rice (usually served in a bamboo basket). Most Thai places don't offer this on their menu...or even if they did, the flavors were never good. I am so ecstatic to see this on their menu and for them to knock it out of the park, it was definitely a big win! The restaurant is small in size, but their dishes were packed with huge flavors. Staff was really friendly, genuine and accommodating. Looking forward to come back and try more dishes. We will probably end up being one of their regulars pretty soon! read more

A new Thai restaurant in Mount Juliet! Chada Thai is certainly a welcome addition. They have experienced some growing pains, but I remain hopeful. The quality varies a bit from day to day. Different chefs? As a Thai food aficionado, I've tried a lot of the menu. While initially outstanding (1st try), the Gar Pao has suffered. Must have run out of basil on one try as it was devoid of any. Chef made up by throwing way too many peppers and onions in it to compensate. The Lard Na is good. The Pad Kee Mao is spicy and consistent. Why don't Thai restaurants in the U.S. use gailan (Chinese Broccoli) to make Pad See Ew? Chada is no different. It's just not the same without gailan. Fix that and the Pad See Ew wil be a consistent winner. Fried chicken appetizer is a bit over breaded, but it does have great flavor. So..can't go wrong with that as a starter. Yellow curry was a disappointment. It lacked in any real depth of flavor. Sushi is middle Tennessee average. Decent enough, but not going to win any prizes. Keep to the "Authentic" Thai flavors, instead of Americanizing, and Chada Thai will earn a loyal following. read more

This is a brand new place...I give them six months if they don't make some FAST changes. First off...the service was slow... Second...the air conditioning did NOT keep it cool inside. We should feel comfortable when we go to a restaurant. When it's super hot outside we don't want to feel it inside! We ordered beef teriyaki bento box. The sauce was not TERIYAKI SAUCE. It was like brown runny gravy. NOT GOOD! Beef was tough. The California rolls were...sitting there. No flavor. Also ordered shrimp tempura bento box. that was pretty good. And the salad dressing on the salad was tasty. But I won't go back for those two things. I nicely told the lady at the register that the teriyaki sauce is Not teriyaki and she said "some people liked it, said it was different." "Some" people will not keep you in business. I've tried this place three times now and highly recommend. I love Thai food and had yet to find a good spot in the greater NASHVILLE area that I liked, until now. Their Crab Rangoon is flavorful and slightly crispy in a good way. My husband had the Thai Basil Fried Rice , and it was tasty and the right amount of spice (he asked for "medium"), and I had the Panang Curry with Chicken (asked for a 3.5 level spice and it had a good kick to it). Best I've had... love that it has cashews and pineapple as well as broccoli and peppers. We will definitely continue eating here. Hopefully they will start selling beer and wine soon. read more

Not a good experience. Service was SLOW, we actually had to flag someone down to order food. Got the fried dumplings, they were breaded and deep fried, not what I expected. The shrimp fresh roll wasn't great and the dipping sauce was strange. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. He said the teriyaki was super salty. I tried a piece of his sushi and it did not taste good and it was mushy. I've had better sushi from the grocery store. He did like the ginger salad dressing. I ordered the beef pho. Honestly it didn't have much flavor, the noodles felt slimy and the broth was so greasy I felt like I was wiping an oil slick off my mouth. I didn't eat most of the broth because of this.
