Cute place, definitely can dress up and take cute photos here. I do Not drink tea ever. Not my thing but since we were here i ordered the s-365 white champagne raspberry. If you're not a huge tea drinker i recommend getting that one. The ice cream with macaron and strawberry was a nice combo.

For celebrating my end of radiotherapy, I take my dear neighbor to a high tea time. It is the affordable tea room in Los Angeles, and it is worth! The food is tasty, the tea I got was really good, the ambiance is cute and cozy, the service is great, friendly, you can spend time slowly. I think bit is a hidden gem in the middle of crazy street of L.A.

Good enough for me to give 4stars. Not much impressed with the service. Tea was great and sandwiches were okay. Scone was good and love the chocolates. Been here couple of times but my first time was better than this afternoon.

Hundreds of teas to choose from! Cute space and best part is that you can order a pot of tea to drink with some food for a legitimate afternoon tea session! I'd make a reservation ahead of time just because it can be busy at times. I ordered the Celebration Afternoon Tea and it comes with a good amount of food: soup/salad, scones, sandwiches, and sweets! I was full after so worth the price! I went with the Birthday Tea which was a lovely floral black tea and paired well with the foods. Loved the teapot and all of the fancy plates. Definitely try it out and great to do before a show in the area!

This place is all about the tea and the tea selection is phenomenal. And who knew there was a tea called St. Marc and that it was super delicious?! I shall be getting some of that soon. We wound up doing the afternoon tea service and it was delightful. Comfy atmosphere, great service and some of the best teas we've all had. The food is good, but I did have some issues with the sandwiches. We all really loved the scones and jams and the other sweets, and while the sandwiches all tasted fine, it was way too much white bread and not enough filling. I usually don't eat white bread anyway, but if I am going to, I need a lot more in between the sheets, as it were. That's really my only gripe. I would come back, but maybe just for tea and scones.

Loved our experience! Calm, beautiful and yummy. Greatly enjoyed the Halloween special. Only note was that the Halloween scone was a little hard but was very yummy. Alexis was absolutely love and so thoughtful. Fantastic service. Look forward to visiting again

This was a shockingly bad afternoon tea service. From plastic plates, to rotten vegetables, to pathetic desserts

Loved coming here! Delicious tea sandwiches, Christmas decorations set a wonderful ambiance for Sunday brunch before the holiday and the woman working went above and beyond for our friend's birthday celebration. Definitely recommend

    Celebration tea service

Came here to celebrate our anniversary and had the Celebration Afternoon Tea. The food was surprisingly filling, and the Mauritius tea with the warm scones ended up being our favorite part of the whole set. It was our first visit, and Sam was the one who helped us. He was super friendly and welcoming, made a few suggestions that actually ended up being spot-on, and checked in without hovering. Really appreciated that. The place is clean, cozy, and has a comfortable vibe for just sitting and enjoying tea especially since it was raining out today. We'd definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed tea spot. There's plenty of street parking and shopping in the area once you're done with tea

We celebrated our friend birthday at Chado tea room at Hollywood location. Everything was very organized. Loved the variation of the teas, heaven for tea drinkers like myself

I'm a big afternoon tea kind of girl. I have my favorite place but have been wanting to branch out to find new places so decided to check out Chado. Beautiful interior highlighting their vast tea selections and tea pot collections. We opted for the chado afternoon tea service with lavender earl grey and lychee green tea - both delicious and the green tea served in a glass pot garnish with beautiful florals. We added the tomato basil soups because of the high remarks and it was tasty but the side of untoasted thin white bread left me wanting more. As for the sandwiches I think a better thicker bread could give them more substance. The sandwiches are the same thin white bread making for a very thin sandwich. My favorite as for flavor was the punjab egg salad. The scones were good but very dense, I started getting full on those and decided to move onto eating the sandwiches before I completely maxed out. Overall a very cute place but sandwiches need some work :(

Cute ambiance you can sit inside or out. I was there for an event so not sure if they have gluten free items. That wasn't offered so I didn't get to sample any eats. The teas are amazing. The smoky black tea was a surprisingly delicious treat. The tea settings are just stunning and staff goes above and beyond.

This was my second time visiting a Chado Tea Room, but my first time at the Hollywood location! I booked a reservation weeks in advance, and luckily, it wasn't too busy because it was just our luck that our reservation landed on a rainy day. The customer service was great; just like how my first visit was at the Pasadena location. The staff were so attentive and accommodated to our dietary needs. My friend and I enjoyed a good tea time. We got the Chado Afternoon Tea Service, and to be honest, the food wasn't like the most special thing in the world, but it paired well with the teas that we chose - Butterscotch and Earl Grey Imperial. The Butterscotch was deep and sweet while the Earl Grey Imperial was light and floral. My favorite food items in the Chado Afternoon Tea Service were the scones with strawberries & cream and the Punjab sandwich. Also, the ambiance, china, cutlery, and decor of the place really elevated the whole experience. In my opinion, Chado Tea Rooms are on the more affordable end for tea rooms around LA, so I'll definitely return for another special occasion!

The shop is LOVELY! Pink everywhere, lovely set ups, it was a dream! The tea we got was soooo good too! I got the Des Alizes and my friend got Paris for her. We asked for a side of cream and took our tea with one sugar lump. It was fantastic. The three tier stand of scones and finger sandwiches were super yummy too. We went with the Rose Tea set - came with 3 finger sandwiches, 2 scones and desserts. The desserts amd scones were good, but of those 3 finger sandwiches, my favorite was the cucumber dill sandwich. Second was the smoked salmon. Didn't very much care for the egg one. I will definitely be coming back with all females I know in my life! I highly recommend, such a fun time!

Great teas and little finger sandwiches and pastries all at an affordable price of $30-50ish per person (vs. some other places which may go upwards of like $60-100 per person). The whole decor is cute with pink and white being the main motif of the tea room which is a stark difference from the plaza just outside. The dishware and tea sets are all so cute and the teas? Plenty of options. My wife and I tried out the pear and hibiscus teas respectively and they were just right: not too sweet. The sandwiches were great with slight asian influences to them. The pastries were my favorite though, nothing like a scone with butter and jam to go with your tea. Anyway, great teas, great food, great vibes, and great prices. What more do you need? A reservation? Yeah I suppose that helps too hah!

It is pricey (maybe the priciest out there) but every element of the experience is top tier and you get what you pay for. The sandwiches, scones, and pastries are actually high quality and delicious. The scones are my favorite and not dry at all, it's served with clotted cream, lemon curd, and a berry jam - absolutely delicious. The breeze knows this and thus its best to control itself because it knows its place in relation to this girl. If you make the decision, I recommend going on a day where you can absorb the classy and elegant (that slightly borders on stiff traditionally) vibe because no one deserves to have a troubled mind when enjoying luxurious tea. It is like a big sports guy, going to the Super Bowl, when back home they have a leaky faucet that is near full rupture but he cannot do anything until Monday. How is he suppose to enjoy viewing a fumble or bouncing cheerleaders or a roaring crowd with costumed fans, if there is a drip drip of worry in his mind that he cannot wrench into closing. I guess, this space is like a zen garden, where one goes to be present, not just to checkmark a daily meal. I say all that because I was silent for long moments, and I apologized to Ronnie for not engaging in conversation. And she said, "I understand, you are taking it all in." So this place is also a gallery of fancy, where one experiences tea in the cushions of Beverly Hills rarefied air. When I was there, I saw a large group of girls attending a baby shower. To me, it was a like small movie scene. All of them were gathered in a group, like lilies in a special patch, looking all pretty in nice dresses, long flowing hair, and were all smiles and refined in movement, taste and persona. I wondered why they were talking about? Ronnie anchored me back to reality and said, they are probably just catching up, just like us. She makes a good point--- a baby shower in a fancy tea room, is no different than a baby shower held in a back yard. Every one is there to give well-wishes and gifts, eat good food, and chat. There are obvious ways in which these two experiences are different but at their core they were the same: a group of people gathering to celebrate a coming child. One place just does it with white linens ironed to precious quality, while the other is limited to folded tables set up carefully so they don't break. I share this so that the reader knows that this place is so fancy, that I felt like I did not just have tea, I more felt like I was in a place that redefined fancy for me, and that in itself, is worth more than the 150.00 dollars I paid to sip rose tea. But still I would not do it again, because to sip rose tea and be pampered like a princess cost me 150.00 dollars. To translate this into a Yelp message: Go as a once in a life time experience to understand how the 1 percent enjoys their tea, and hopefully that adds to all that shapes your perspective of the world. I want to truly stress, that this slow moving experience, in a wondrous way, redefined what fancy is because I never saw fancy be effortless lazy yet still be extravagant and gorgeous. I was a guy there. There was another guy there, enjoying tea alone. But everyone else read female. So this place is women centered because who is taught to have tea parties at a young age? I mean there is no tea party with cups that show the Hulk and Iron man. So this is. a girlie fantasy. Look at my pictures, even though there are few one can see pink ribbons, floral patterns, precious and dainty flowers, and fashion carried by hats. I went because I am comfortable stepping outside gender roles but not everyone is. So, I guess, I am saying that afternoon tea, all adorn with teas, is mostly for girls, shocking I know. The food was superb. I remember the chicken salad sandwich fondly. I remember the strawberries and cream. I remember being handed a warm towel to wipe my hands clean. I remember lounging, but again, this is more of an experience. Like I can have high tea again, but not like this because it is too precious to revisit on rewind. I rather have this be a bubble that strolls down Rodeo and Sunset than it be popped by another visit. I remember all of it as a kind of dream, which makes it more precious. There was also a harp player. But I am not going to say I was in heaven, that reach is too easy. Plus, I did not feel like I was in heaven, even though I sat in a cloud. I noticed to much, and thought to much about my surroundings. I was not at peace. I was in rest. The difference being is that peace comes with out thought, and rest can come with an analysis. Think I am wrong? Then imagine a genius doing Sodukus for fun---- he is not in peace because he is being challenged, but he is in rest because she can find quiet pleasure in finishing the mental challenge in record time. I realize that I took a long way to say the following: the place is gorgeous, the food is sensational, the graces both big and small, mix into a pleasurable experience that makes one say, that was certainly fancy to the sky!

The restaurant has both inside and outdoor spaces with two different entrances. This was a bit confusing since we walked coming from Sunset and entered the inside the first time we came! Thankfully, the staff were super helpful and directed us to the other entrance for the patio seating! I did get a look at the inside space which had its own lovely ambiance and felt calming and mellow. The patio seating felt magical and being there I felt transported to a completely different place! The decor is lovely and if you're a sports fan, they have games playing in the background. There are ample heat lamps placed throughout, which was great since both times we went it was chilly at night! The staff even adjusted it to our comfort. Both times I came here, there were Prix fix menus to choose from. The first visit had a smaller Prix fix menus, while the second time had more on the menu and didn't cost much more. I highly recommend ordering from the Prix fix as it's a great value to be able to try a food variety of options! The standouts were definitely the monkey buns, the king oyster bao, and the sweet and sour mushroom, although everything we had tasted amazing! The monkey buns had a soft doughy texture and were nice and sticky with a wonderful savory mixture inside and a subtle sweetness. The king oyster bao was pretty similar although didn't have the stickiness but was more spicy and creamy inside. The sweet and sour mushroom is a must with the crispiness mushroom to really mimic chicken with a lovely tangy sauce that was just so scrumptious. For dessert both times, we got the Triple Chocolate Trifle which was layered with so much texture and flavor and was rich and decadent but not overly heavy. This dessert truly is a must even though the bao beignets also sound very enticing and I would love to try on my next visit here! I also loved the experience of having the tea brought to our table (you get two refills with hot water). It was so flavorful and fun to watch it steep and being able to smell the freshness of the tea leaves. It was so refreshing and flavorful and truly complimented and brought out the flavors of the food. It's an experience that must be had at this restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant and it's my first experience with vegan dim sum and I'm already obsessed! It's a place both vegans and non vegans alike can enjoy and it's such a fantastic experience to dine here with the culmination of the food and eclectic ambiance. The service was also so friendly, prompt and helpful and they truly go over the top here to ensure you have an amazing time. We were also assisted by one of the owners, who was the sweetest and most accommodating. I could truly see how passionate she is about the restaurant. The Asian-inspired interior is elegant and refined. Staff was cordial. But other than the novelty and nice teas (exceptional, high quality teas indeed), the food and value were a bit disappointing to me. We came on Mother's Day and tried their prix fixe high tea. There were 3 courses: the appetizers were cute in appearance with some special tastes; the main course (smorgasbord-like tea sandwiches) was dry and bland. Desserts, while a bit too sweet for our taste (after a culinary tour to Asia, my family now upholds the phrase "not too sweet" as the highest compliment to Asian desserts), were nonetheless tasty and flavorful, to be fair. Must give them accolades for the nice teas!! We tried 3 kinds: Milky Oolong, Milky Ruby, and an herb tea. None of them contains any milk or diary products. Not sure where they sourced their teas but the fragrances were exquisite! Their Oolong reminded me of the Taiwanese local-favorite Jin-Xuan (金萱) tea, where the locals used the term "milky" to describe the subtle aroma from the tea. Our high tea was about $70, so at the end it was about $90 per person, with taxes and gratuity. In a market where high end Beverly Hills restaurants are serving $40-ish prix fixe lunches, I find it hard to justify coming back here.

We've had a couple of the tea drinks before when they were at Smorgasburg recently and really enjoyed those. We were in the area and decided to drop by on a whim. We didn't have reservations, but wanted to check if there was space available. When we walked in around 8:20pm, there was only one employee behind the bar, speaking to someone that was at the bar (possibly an employee who was off the clock). Two more parties walked in behind us and after 5ish minutes, the employee behind the bar seated all of us. We were given menus when seated. Then after about 5 minutes, were given water and a bowl of popcorn, but no mention about putting in orders. There was another employee who seemed like a server, that would appear and disappear, walked around with a tablet, and took selfies with the person at the bar (off-the-clock employee?). He seemed to LOOK busy, but not sure with what. It seemed like they were understaffed for a weekend, and not really efficient. It seemed as though the bar employee was doing multiple tasks (seating, serving, and bartending). I can understand and have empathy for being understaffed, but cannot deal with not being acknowledged for 20-30 minutes despite making eye contact with both employees, especially when I feel like the server was not doing enough. I walked up to the bar area to try to put an order in, but what pushed us over the edge was seeing the party that just walked in get their order taken immediately. This is the first time I, and the other 2 people in my party, felt the need to get up and leave an establishment. If someone had come over and just mentioned that they're understaffed, or that they're a bit backed up, or just acknowledged us in any way, we would've appreciated it and been more okay with waiting around. I'm disappointed that we had such a negative experience considering that I've been looking forward to trying the night menu, and wanting to support a local business. However, I'm hoping that this will help the owners/ managers reevaluate their staffing and service. Not sure if I'll want to try coming back again.

Food is pretty affordable, and does not come with sides originally, which I like, but if you're on the hungrier side definitely get a side. The double cheeseburger's flavor comes out and greets you like a warm hug, especially on a chillier day like this. I would say the burger meat could be a little more soft and tender, was just a touch overdone but that didn't ruin anything. The chicken sandwich is pretty good too, but i definitely prefer the burger. I think the flavors blend better together compared to the chicken sandwich. This cute little win-dow is located near the hollywood walk of fame and has pretty good seating, would stop by again!

The menu is colorful and well detailed. I was greeted by the friendly cashier at the walk up window. You can see the busy cooks and food expeditors working in the kitchen. When I ordered my fries the cashier asked if I wanted to add a dipping sauce. They had very tasty options. I got the jalapeno dipping sauce. After my order was taken I sat at their amazing long wooden & metal high top tables and cool red chairs to wait for my food. There is only outdoor seating so it's a great place to people watch. My name was called and I happily picked it up. I got the friend chicken sandwich, french fries and crispy brussels sprouts. The portions were great, the food was hot and delicious! Will definitely go back to it!
