    Dry aged 12 ounce tenderloin

This was our first time at Eden. My wife and I took our son during parent's weekend at Syracuse. It was a little difficult to find because the entrance is nondescript. When you walk in, you see the hostess and one or two tables. The main part of the restaurant is a few steps down. They really were innovative with the space. At the very rear is an open kitchen and to the left is a nice bar seating area. I have a photo to show the layout. Our server came over and greeted us. She made some great drink selections and guided us through the menu. The menu is small but diverse. Once again, good innovation. I started with their take on a Manhattan and my wife had a specialty one that I can't remember. They were excellent - smooth and well balanced. We received the chefs amusement which was very tasty. We ordered the mushroom toast with the poached egg and the Halloumi cheese as appetizers . They were fantastic. This was a good sign. They had some specialty steaks which was what my son and I were looking for. They are dry aged on site. He got the 12 ounce tenderloin and I got a 25 ounce bone-in ribeye with bone marrow as an accompaniment. My wife got the halibut. It would be a bold faced lie if I told you that I have had a better prepared and flavorful steak. My son ate the whole thing!! I had half left over and took it with me to the hotel fridge and home to RI for a great lunch. My wife's halibut was good but not in the league of those steaks. Was it expensive? Yes it was but it was totally worth it. The items on the menu and cocktails are reasonable considering the quality. The steaks are $$$$ but SO GOOD. I think it is the best food I have had in Syracuse and a fun atmosphere. Try it!

I was brought to Eden for an upscale dinner for my Birthday. My friend, trying to impress me, got us reservations. We arrived a little early due to the lack of parking in downtown Syracuse in that area, and because it was very windy and cold that day, so we didn't want to have to walk a long way if we didn't have to. What luck- we found a good parking spot. Eden is tucked away and you really have no idea it's there in a row of restaurants/bars unless you know it's there. Once inside, it's a small restaurant seemingly perfect for an intimate and romantic dinner. Dry aged beef is on display when you walk in, showing off their talent and skill here at Eden. The wood fire they use to cook everything is on full display at the back of the restaurant. The wine selection along the back of the bar is extensive. They use ipads as their menu and there is an interactive feature that helps you choose what kind of wine you may like! However, because we were about 20 minutes early, we were seated at the bar for a drink while we waited for our table. We were told the owners wanted a favor, so their friends came and were using our table. 40 minutes passed and we were finally seated at our table. And then forgotten about for another 25 minutes. We were not given a menu, but we had luckily seen one online and at the bar briefly before it was taken away for another table that got seated. We had to ask that table for the menu back so we could look at the wine selection while we waited. When the waiter, who had seated us at the bar and was well aware of our existence (same person in every interaction for us thus far), finally came over asking if we knew what we wanted, we answered quickly so that we wouldn't be forgotten about again. We decided to share some apps, and share a dry aged ribeye. Mind you, this is not on the menu. Nor was a price mentioned to us at any point during this ... let's say, encounter. We were asked if we wanted the 25 or 29 oz steak. We were sharing it, so we said 29. What do we know? Later, the appetizers/small plates came out. The beef tartare was subpar, barely seasoned and very dry. The best bite was the pickled vegetable on the plate however it completely overpowered the flavor of anything you ate with it if you were attempting to eat it with the tartare. The lentil small plate with fried haloumi was the start of the small plates. My friend hadn't had haloumi, and she loved that part! The dish was a bit plain though, it really needed some acid so it was made a better bite if you took some of the pickled veg from the tartare plate with it. The braised short rib was... meh. Literally my favorite thing of all time, braised short rib- I thought it would be a sure winner! Unfortunately I was sorely mistaken here. The polenta/grits (I can't remember which it was) was undercooked and lumpy, and there were so many fried shallots that it hid the beef! It was, however, a perfectly cooked medium egg (which I can never find anywhere I go for breakfast...) and that seemed odd like it needed to be a runny egg. We were then given a nice light salad as a pallet cleanser as we waited for our main dish. Then comes the steak. Turns out we don't like bone marrow. That isn't their fault. It was roasted well, but it was a texture thing for us, lol! The steak was beautiful on the outside, but it needed some salt since it came pre-sliced, it really needed some Maldon salt or something. We asked for medium rare and it was medium and medium well towards the end pieces. The smashed potatoes underneath were delicious, though. The cookie for dessert with the panna cotta and blueberry topping was my favorite part of the whole meal. The lemony buttermilk cookie against the blueberry sweetness and the acidic panna cotta- it was delightful. Here are the memorable negatives of my experience: - because we were never told the price of the steak, we were literally shell-shocked to see the bill say that the Ribeye was $108. - besides being seated and then forgotten about, we were seated on the bottom level just under another large table of about 13 people. These people were watching the Buffalo Bills playoff game on their phones (I think?) and were being EXTREMELY LOUD at what I believe is supposed to be an intimate restaurant. I hate to say that I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I have heard so many good things. But.. just no. Neither myself nor my friend would ever return. And while the restaurant did comp the small plates for us as a 'sorry', I don't think they really understood just how many things went wrong despite our attempts to communicate them.

They don't have apples on the menu, but the food here is heavenly. The entrees (strip steak, filet and roast chicken) are the stars of the menu, taking advantage of the wood-fired oven. The desserts were fantastic as well, although the lemon tart is much more substantial than the chocolate lava cake. The roasted carrots were delicious but quite pricey for what you get. I'd pass on the root vegetable charcuterie. Hard to find from the street in Hanover Square. It's next to Maxwells. Cozy subterranean space. Tables by the wood fired area are the most charming

The unassuming entrance, I finally entered. The smell was totally intoxicating, the vibes reminded me of Fish Friar. The iPad menu was a pleasant "boojie" surprise, along with the starting compliments-of-the-chef goat cheese crostini. A white glass of wine & lemon cocktail were needed with the beet salad (yummy flavors and textures) and Beef Confit (I personally didn't like). Then, I HAD to get the infamous strip, chimichuri with tons of mushrooms, as well as chicken that I can't remember the name of but was fall off the bone. Ended with the Lemon meringue which was a great flavor cleanser. Definitely returning for some fall dishes!l

After hearing great things about Eden from friends and family, we finally gave it a try. We made a reservation for 5:30 and the restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived. We were seated at the bar, which was made of stone/concrete. The regular dinner tables were made of cool looking wood slabs, and the whole restaurant had a very approachable but still upscale vibe. They gave us a tablet with the menu and full wine list, and explained how to navigate it. I liked that the wine list had lots of local options, but featured selections from more typical wine regions like France and California as well. There weren't any mocktails listed, but when I asked the bartender he offered two mocktail options. I had the grapefruit one and it was very good. The food menu did not exactly match what was online, so I'd recommend coming in with an open mind or calling the restaurant if you had your heart set on a certain dish other than steak. For steaks, I noticed that they sold out of certain cuts throughout the evening, so I'd recommend a reservation on the early side if you want a full range of options. In general, I didn't find the service overly attentive, but we were checked on often enough and served fairly quickly. The bartender who was waiting on us did a nice job describing the cuts of steak available. Before our entrees arrived, they brought out an amuse bouche and a green salad, which is a nice touch. I had the pasta entree and my husband ordered a steak, and we both cleared our plates. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert which was a nice portion to share. Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant and hope to return soon. As someone who doesn't really eat steak, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed my meal and the overall experience.

NY Strip steak with grilled potatoes and compound butter.

The service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food selection is not extensive. They have small plates and large plates. Steak, chicken, fish and pasta choices. All unique and cooked to order. I had NY Strip steak, as did another person in our party. Also selected... Halibut (beautiful presentation) and a pasta dish with goat cheese. All four of us loved our meals. Yummy sides and delicious sauces came with each one. Three folks ordered dessert (a lemon merengue, chocolate mousse, and a blueberry compote). Brian (our server - phenomenonal) brought me a spoon so I could sample them if allowed. Pretty funny! Everything is presented so well. This is a farm to table place with almost all food locally sourced. The Halibut is from Maine. The evening was a 10/10. Only thing they need to do differently is put felt on the bottom of the chair legs. Very noisy when chairs move!

Eden is a great spot for an upscale dinner with a relaxed feel. The host was warm in greeting us and the menu is short but sweet (except maybe for their great selection of spirits and wine). They explain that 95% of what is served is sourced locally within the state of New York. I love this style of dining and am happy we have a spot right in here in Syracuse. My beeswax gin cocktail was delicious and each of the dishes we had tasted great. The halloumi, mushroom toast, and chicken were cooked perfectly. They had us eating up every bite and leaving the plate clean. Service was pleasant - they were attentive and helpful but never stiff. They made some modifications to the mushroom toast (bread on side) for my gluten allergy which I'm always grateful for. This is a great spot to grab a nightcap with a friend, split a glass of wine and a bite to eat or enjoy the full dinner service. The open wood fired kitchen gives the place a cozy, relaxed feel. We loved the food and will be back!

This was our fourth time dining at Eden and served as a reminder for why we continue to come back for more. Girlfriend and I had a reservation for Valentine's Day and were seated promptly on-time. We opted for a glass of sparkling wine each, and shared the Beet Salad and Beef Confit appetizers to start off our evening. Delicious! Pleasantly surprised to find that the beets were served warm -- great flavor profile with the goat cheese. After having dined here multiple times, we both came in knowing what exactly we wanted for our entrees -- the NY Strip. These were both cooked perfectly and were a great serving size, in fact, larger than we remember! A great amount of kale on both made for a well-balanced dish with a tremendous flavor profile from the wood-fired steak and chimichurri. I opted to add the compound butter to mine, which proved to be the cherry on top of a delicious meal. Finally, we finished with the chocolate mousse, which is a must for us every time we dine here. Overall, we had a wonderful meal and memorable visit to Eden. We did feel a bit rushed at times by the waitstaff checking in to clear plates, but nothing that impacted our evening to an overwhelmingly negative degree. We will definitely be back for our next special occasion!

This restaurant is just wonderful the lighting and plants etc lend to the "Eden" atmosphere which are newer changes and just make this restaurant and even better place to have a special dinner. The food of course was amazing with steaks cooked to perfection and the capelletti is to die for!!!! Small plates were all fantastic and the local red blend wine from standing stone was the perfect addition to our meal. Thank you to Paige and Tyler for the amazing service and the the food as always was just perfection!

We were a party of 6 that dropped to three and they were super understanding! Brian was our waiter and he was fabulous! I couldn't decide on a cocktail so opted for sparkling water and he didn't push or ask me again which I appreciated. He was knowledgeable and answered all our questions! Everything was perfect! Every single bite! Food is on the pricier side but so worth it! Fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly! We will be back!

    Amuse-bouche
    Amber Y.

We loved the atmosphere stepping into Eden for dinner. It's smaller than I anticipated, but cozy, and smells of lovely wood fire. The service is top notch, with no detail missed from an Amuse-bouche to a special interactive wine menu, to a kind manager walking around and helping with things like tucking in your coat when she sees it hanging on the floor. Top-notch! Kyle was such an amazing delight and gave us the perfect amount of attention and space. Now the good part (food!) I started with the Red blend and the beet salad. The beets were warm and perfectly cooked, and the dish had some tangy like mandarin oranges, and delicious melty goat cheese. It was delicious! The Amuse-bouche was a little crouton with goat and pickled grape. I don't think I've had a more delicious goat cheese in my life- perfectly balanced and lovely tasting. I didn't love the red blend, but it was fine. It was lighter than any red blend I've had, but I noticed later that it was a NY region wine so maybe that's why. I went on to try the Malbec, which was much more of what I was looking for. For dinner, I had the strip steak and my partner had the halibut. Both dishes were delicious! I may have scaled back just slightly on the saltiness on the strip dish, as it was on the border of too much. Steak was cooked to medium rare although ordered medium, but I didn't mind- it was delicious. Chimichurri was lovely, and I enjoyed the smashed potatoes. Menu was a touch on the pricey side, but I think it was well worth it to have locally sourced and sustainably sourced foods. We'll be back to try some more goodies!

I apologize as I cannot remember the exact names of the meal other than generalized meal. My descriptions do not even give this food justice as they were phenomenal. Great ambience and staff. To be honest...this is another great and surprising Yelp find.

This means they were trying to bill me for hidden factors and only explained once I questioned their request. They tried to bill me $850 yo use their line dancing coach for 45min (at most) of work. When I declined that I had my own that travels with my event and also shared that the average pay for a coach is $100/1-2 hours they then shared that the total also included $750 fee for finding vendors for the event. Typical, an event charges vendors to hold a booth at a venue $100-$250 per booth per event (average). I caught on to what they were trying to do( find ways to steal money from what I am owed each event), I then had my lawyer rewrite my contract so that if forces venues to itemize every factor I am billed for. The venue saw that I caught on to their possible illegal behavior( and my contract now stops venues from charging the vendors to hold a booth then postulating me as well for them finding the vendors which is double dipping) the venue quickly backed out of the event. This is highly illegal behavior so I had my lawyer rewrite my event contract to protect me from this criminal behavior and they instantly backed out of the event that they contacted me in request to host in the first place due to the large attendance my events hold. It's been a while since I'd last been but everything is as amazing as I remembered…read more I've seen them advertise their monthly "flight night" events for some time but never actually had been to one. When I saw an espresso martini and cake pairing, I knew I had to pull the trigger. Met up with some friends and we all ordered food beforehand to offset the impending sugar rush. I'd had their naan pizza in the past and loved it, so this time I went with the one that had caramelized onions and goat cheese. AMAZING. Crispy crust, melty cheese, tangy onions and the perfect amount of everything in every bite. Then onto the main event: the flights! The staff brought over our cake and drinks and were so great about explaining what to pair together. (There was also a card) Desserts were a carrot cake with the most impossibly airy icing, a pistachio cheesecake with chocolate ganache, and a chocolate cake with a light nutella icing. I'm usually a carrot cake girlie and while I enjoyed it, the cheesecake was actually my favorite. Just the perfect pistachio flavor and a wonderful consistency -- so, so smooth. Our waitress told us that the owner is the one that makes all of the desserts too. A multi-talented queen. As far as the martinis, my favorite was the affogato one. These flight-nights are one-off events and the items aren't normally on the menu, so if you see one that looks extra appealing, get yourself there! I've been for normal service too though, and honestly, never have had a misfire here. One thing I especially love is the option to order drinks in 5oz pours, a godsend for lightweights like me. For drinks they have a good selection of beers on tap, usually 10-20, from local and national breweries. The server offered me a sample before I fully committed on a beer I had a question about and I appreciated being able to try it before committing to a full glass. The Evergreen's menu itself is accessed through a QR code where their full list of options and specials are listed. My group opted to share the beer fries and they were taaaasty, pillowy soft, crunchy, and amazingly well seasoned. The vegetarian options are a regular part of the restaurant and the fried tofu I had was genuinely satisfying and well done. My cajun pasta was maybe a touch over but I was okay with it since it had my condiment obsession of chili crisp in it. The menu is well marked for dietary needs. A great thing of note is that they have women's, men's, AND an all-gender bathroom. I appreciate the inclusion in the food and restaurant itself. Car parking is street parking, it's accessible via the Centro bus system, and there is an artistic broken-chain shaoed bike rack just across the street from the restaurant. My group was happy with the prices and service for an early Wednesday dinner in a wintry March.

My partner and I chose to split the herb fries, burnt end chicharrones, and the brussels. I thought the herb fries were delightfully crisp with great flavor. The sweet & spicy smokey sauce that was provided with it was a bit tangy. I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me! You'll definitely have to taste it for yourself. The burnt end chicharrones left more to be desired. Both my partner and I thought they were dry and not tender. Also, there was something about the flavor that we did not care for. I absolutely love burnt ends from BBQ joints, and this was the first time we've ordered chicharrones so I don't have something to compare them to, but I'd suggest trying them elsewhere. As for the brussels, when we first got to the restaurant our friends were sharing them. We tried one bite and knew we had order a whole plate for ourselves! They were literally the best brussel sprouts we've ever had. The roasted garlic aioli and grana cheese were topped on perfectly cooked brussels which I would go back for. I highly suggest checking out The Evergreen, go through their beer menu, and find a new favorite plate.

TL;DR: Highly recommended. Will definitely repeat…read more **Ambiance** Charming and spacious microbrewery with a great selection of beers. Now they also have a food truck on premise. Clean and uncluttered floor space with square wooden picnic tables, which are custom-built to gather around good beer with good company. **Staff & Service** I have been to this place multiple times, and every time, the bar staff has been super friendly and helpful. **Beer** They have a rotation selection of draft beers. Additional beers are also available in cans. The thing that sets them apart is that they offer a choice of up to 6 beer flights (pic attached). So you can really explore what you like. We were a party of four and each got a flight of 6 and we pretty much sampled the entire menu! It was a lot of fun! My all-time favorite at their location is the DDH IPA (called DDH Lies) **Food** I have been coming here before the food truck was coming here, and I am really enjoying the convenience of the food truck at this location. The sliders were my favorite. But the mac & cheese was the surprise for me. It was unexpectedly delicious. **Overall** It was a wonderful experience. There is something unique about drinking beer right from its source, and Willow Rock hits the spot. Highly recommended.

Great service and a light, fruity hefeweizen. They now serve food all the time. I looked over the…read moremenu and it was pretty typical bar/ pub type food. What I saw people eating looked very good! ( Next time I'll remember and not eat before going) There is a nice selection of brews....stouts, IPA 's, ales, etc. This is not a fancy place but very fun with picnic tables and TV's.
