Good service throughout the week. But not on the weekends. For some reason on the weekends, it appears that multitasking and curtesy are not available. There's hardly ever enough people to help. I have stood there on quite a few Saturday's waiting while they deal with one customer and their concerns, without checking on the other customers in line, and just taking a long time to help them. It's so much easier if they realize that they are having a hard time with one customer, to ask them to step to the side while they take someone who's just dropping off or picking up, or doing something fairly easy. Then they can take the time to focus on that one customer with the issues. Customer service and courtesy goes a long way. It doesn't take much to say hey I will be right with you, or would you mind if I help the person behind you so I can focus on you? read more

I dropped off a queen size comforter and a toddler snow jacket that had a pretty horrible juice stain. 3 days later, both were ready to be picked up and they both look nice and clean. This place is right does good work and has a quick turnaround time. I've done several alterations (mostly my jeans). I've been able to grove them a sample jean so they can tailor all my jeans the same way. They have done a good job with cleaning my clothes as well I haven't had anything come back shrunk thank god! I really have no business patronizing a cleaning service but my recent service was truly a good experience. Owner operated business and experiencing the owner who greeted me with a smile was attentive to my questions and instructions. She began by complimenting our silk made (3) panel 10' drapes with liner. I had concerns with a few stubborn stains we dealt with at home using a mild cleaners that didn't do much for us but only create a darker shade surrounded by stain. She said they would do a hand application before doing the actual wash. The overall finish was impeccable and flawless. We also took advantage to have the bottom hem adjusted to shorten the overall height and create a larger space between finish floor and hem thus allowing a mop not to brush against drapes. The drapes are located in our family room / kitchen nook and cover our patio sliding door. So, they get a lot of use and susceptible to hand use and kitchen splash. It's nice to see a bonafide business providing a good service to the neighborhood. I saw a lot of law enforcement, medical uniforms and business suites on the overhead conveyor ready for pickup wrapped in plastic. We were quoted 7 working days and they were able to return in 5 days which was a huge relief to have our privacy back by installing drapes ASAP. I called to ask what the cost was to have my dress shirts laundered and ironed and was quoted $3.95. When I showed up to pick them up the cost was almost $10 more than it should have been at that cost. When I tried to ask the cost per shirt, the person could not understand and answer me. I ended up being out the extra money cause there was no one else to help me. I will not be going back. Additionally, the shortest amount of time to pick them up was three days. This review is specifically for the seamstress/alterations lady who was there on Friday, 4/14 at 11:00 am. I had an appointment to be measured for the dress that I will be wearing to my son's wedding. The seamstress was clearly distracted, rushed through the measurements, and I later determined that they were all incorrect. She measured me shoulder to shoulder as 4 inches. Although I have used this cleaners for over 15 years, I will NOT return due to the experience that I had with this one individual. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE towards a long time community member and customer! We customers are the reason small businesses stay alive, especially throughout these challenging times. At DAY DREEK DRY CLEANERS I've had 2 dry cleaning orders missing upon pick up with no explanation and been carelessly given someone else's order inclusive of a designer ball gown and several other expensive outfits, none of which belonged to me. I insisted they were not mine forcing the attendant to search for my order and get it right. I arrived today for 2 pick ups @ 5:03 while the door was wide open and "OPEN" sign still lit while the owner was having a casual conversation with a patron whom had his items in hand. The owner abruptly stated "WE'RE CLOSED! NO WE'RE CLOSED!!" and proceeded with her conversation. I nicely said, "Ma'am I've got my ticket and payment ready can I please get my things really quick?" Again she barked, "NO WE CLOSE!" I left and when I returned to my car as they continued to chat, I realized it was 5:05 pm. She could have easily got my things but instead dismissed me. The patron then exited and I returned to appeal to the owner about how I felt she could have easily accommodated my request and how it was very rude and inconsiderate the way in which she dismissed me to have a causal conversation, when she could have easily retrieved my things as her last customer given how loyal I've been to her business over the years. These sentiments landed on Def ears as she said, "we close at 5pm, SORRY he was my friend." SMH @ the insensitivity. One Act of Kindness could have went a long way in this instance, but instead DAY CREEK CLEANERS has lost a customer. I've been coming here for over 12 years and today I have decided I will no longer be a customer. I normally just drop off items and walk away assuming that they are reasonably priced. I came back after a month of leaving my formal dress to be charged $60. I was extremely upset that I was not forewarned about the price for dry cleaning this type of dress. When I dropped it off I simply get a receipt of how many items I left with no dollar amount indicated ...customers beware of price gouging. Apparently no one has ever complained but I will. RUINED COMFORTER. We had gotten our comforter cleaned several times without incident before at Family Cleaners on Archibald but decided to drop it off at Day Creek Cleaners since we happened to be in the area. 100% regret. We picked it up and noticed straight away that there were hard, textured crimped marks all over the comforter that looked like perhaps an iron had been pressed on for too long. When we asked what they were, the cashier actually said that that's how the comforter looked when we brought it in and it was part of the material!! Really!? We asked if they could try to correct it to which they agreed, but when we came back to pick it up it looked exactly the same, it honestly didn't look like they had done anything. And again, they kept telling us that the comforter had been brought in with the crimped marks despite us showing them a "before" picture of where the fabric is smooth (attached). They even suggested the crimps made the comforter look nicer...!! We've tried taking it to another cleaner to correct but unfortunately the crimps are permanent and will not come out. We are stuck and at a loss for the money we spent on this comforter. So disappointed, no communication from the owner on this despite multiple attempts to reach out in store. Avoid! read more

Brought in 3 pairs of pants to get the waist hemmed. I SPECIFICALLY requested that they had elastic on them and with the new hem I did not want any elastic. Gave them an exact reference of pants with no elastic so they could see how I wanted them. When I picked them up she had me pay which was $17 per pants (way over priced) and then told me that they couldn't do it how I wanted so she just put another elastic band on it but a little wider. How unprofessional is that?! I tried the pants on and luckily they look decent but definitely NOT what I asked for. If you CANT do what the paying customer is requesting then that's when u pick up the phone and tell me. You don't just hem them your way and hope I like it because now guess what my pants can't be fixed again by someone else!! The last time I reviewed Day Creek Cleaners was back in 2014. This place has not changed. If any changes, it's always to improve service. This family serves the community with honesty. They have pride in what they do and I appreciate that. I've checked out a few other places in the area in the past, but was never content. Maybe I'm super picky and they were just super sloppy with the clothes. Not Day Creek Cleaners. That is why I always returned. Forget going elsewhere. So for the past few years I've been coming here even though I'm closer to Upland. The owners are very nice and personable. They care about the service they provide as well as the concerns and thoughts of the customer. In addition, they're up-to-date with technology.
