My son wanted sushi so we caved. Lol So we jumped on yelp and checked out our options. It brought us to a Chaiyo Sushi. Located in a strip mall. It was very unassuming from the outside. We went for it. The decor was modern. Immediately notice the cleaner/disinfectant smell they had been using. Not always appealing on the senses. Also the clinginess of the footwear on the floors is a turnoff. Service was adequate. The food was decent. Noting blew us away. I did enjoy the octopus salad. My wife and tried Chaiyo for lunch a couple of days ago. We feel we have discovered a real gem. The food was great and the service was too. We had Kani Salad, Pad Thai and a few sushi rolls. Also their lunch special Bento Boxes were a delicious bargain. We will be back soon! read more

This is the third time I have been to the Milford location. I get the Sashimi Bento Box. It is FANTASTIC. The cuts of fish are generous, whole bento is delicious (picture does not include the miso soup that you get). The topper is the fresh shisho leaves that are included - 3 of them - YUM. Surprisingly good food. Ordered wings, sushi, ginger chicken, and the corn dog meal with Mac and cheese. Wings were juicy and crispy, so was the corn dog. Sushi tasted fresh, had a good portion of fish in the roll. Mac and cheese looked kind of like Kraft, but was good enough for a kid. Dessert was fried snickers with icecream- cant go wrong with that. Our go to for Thai and sushi in the Kent county area. We usually do takeout but their dine in area is nice too. Service is quick and accurate. It's worth driving up here rather than going to their Lebanon location, as sushi seems fresher and proteins seem better cooked. Our favorites are the salmon sashimi, the Dover roll (salmon and mango), and the green curry which is quite spicy. Pad see ew and pad thai lack some flavor but aren't bad. read more

Located inside a strip mall, this brand new restaurant has a modern decor with friendly service. There was something cold and icy about the ambiance here that I didn't like. First off on Yelp they need to update that they are closed from 3-430pm. We arrived a little earlier for "Linner" so we went to the dollar store next door till they opened at 430. We walk in and I love the decor immediately! Staff was very friendly and attentive and we got hot towels to freshen up while we looked over the menu. I ordered two sushi rolls: shrimp tempura and eel tempura. I also ordered pad see ew with shrimp. We also ordered thai ice tea We got a delicious miso soup and salad before our sushi meals. The Thai ice tea was good but I wish it was stronger...I think it's because I didn't mix it up enough since the last few sips were delicious. The sushi was super fresh and delicious ! The sushi is also decently priced for what you get. My Thai food took a while to come out (like other Yelp reviews have said ) the waitress would come apologize for the wait on food but it was fine I've waited longer for food before. The pad see ew finally came out and it was delicious! Being Thai I'm very picky about my Thai food and I liked that they used the correct noodles and the right tasting sauce ! There was a 3.5% credit card surcharge (did I miss notices about this?) AND worst of all the handy chart pre-calculating the tip at various levels started at 20% and went up to 30%. I was excited to try this new place. I love Thai food! The waitress was nice and the place is cute and clean. Now the bad part..... Tom kha soup was sweet. They used non traditional ingredients. Button mushrooms instead of shiitake! No lime juice, galanga, or cilantro. It was so bad! Now the green curry was bland once again they didn't use the traditional ingredients. I asked for the sticky rice dessert and they were out. I asked for limes and they said they don't give you limes and when I paid I didn't get a receipt. In a town with shockingly awful restaurants, Chaiyo is welcome, and welcome in a part of town particularly low in lunch spots. The good: Sushi was fine. I had yellow tail and California roll. A bit small, but fresh and tasty. Service with a smile--friendly and attentive. Decor--really nice. Red & black with windows screened in rice paper. Nice art on walls. Sushi bar looks inviting. They got a liquor license. This looks like the place to hang out. The ok Salad was bagged Dole. I hate that stuff. But the dressing was lime creamy good. Jasmine tea (not Japanese green tea.) The not so good Miso soup. Not the best. No lunch specials on Saturday Closes at 3pm or so to prepare for dinner service (just be aware, 3-4:30 temporarily shut down.) Smells like Subway Bread (baking next door. I hate that smell. I worked once with a laboratory that was in a strip mall next to the Subway. You'd suffocate from that yeasty smell. It's terrible and it's very pervasive. It interferes with appreciating the aromas of the Thai food. None of these criticisms will prevent me from eating there frequently and often. I wish I can give this place negative rating. Went here at 8:35 pm to have dinner. Yelp says they close T 9:30. Our server came to the table at 8:45 pm and instead of greeting us she was rude and told us that order fast we are closing. We asked her if she can be little polite but no. I asked for the manager to address this but guess what she was even more rude . No wonder why the staff is like this. Is the manager can't be warm and polite then what can you expect. At the Lebanon location in Dover: Please train your employees in customer service etiquette. Called in for takeout and was left on hold. By the time I got there, a server walked past me 3 times. When my friend and I got to the restaurant, it was closed for an hour and a half, which isn't indicated online anywhere. So, if you want to stop there between 3 and 4:30 pm, it will be closed. When the place opened again for business, we were promptly seated and given hot cloths to wipe our hands with, which was nice. For a drink, I ordered the Thai tea. The flavor was a little weak compared to what I've had at other authentic Thai food places, but it was still decent. Before my main course arrived, the waitress brought out miso soup, which was absolutely delicious. She also brought out a salad with some mayo based dressing that had a ginger flavor. It was pretty good. For my main course, I ordered 3 sushi rolls. They were fresh and very tasty, however for the price they were very small. Sushi at Yukon is similarly priced, however the pieces are much larger. I was still hungry and had to order another roll. Since I still was hungry when I left, I would not advise going there only for sushi. I thought the prices were kind of steep for the amount you were given. It would be better to have a roll as a side dish to one of the Thai dishes they offer. The waitress we had was very nice, didn't hover, and kept on top of things. Overall, I liked this place but will not come solely for sushi, since I can get more bang for my buck at Yukon, and to me it tastes nearly the same. read more

The star so far has been the various vegetable and sushi rolls they prepare. It's really and art and they have it down to an art/science. Great job! As forthe Thai menu, the fried rice is very good, the ginger chicken is good, but stay away from the beef salad if you like the traditional "yahm nu-uh". Staff are friendly and attentive despite some minor growing pains (open just 4 days when I visited). The décor is gorgeous...I really love the improvements they've made to the place (formerly a coffee bar). We are excited they are here, and we plan on returning for more. read more

Service was great, the food was timely and the waiters were super sweet. They can make dishes vegan if you ask, they also have a separate alcohol menu. I had the green tea, deep fried tofu, and drunken noodles no eggs extra spicy and I was not disappointed. I did wish the menu had a spice scale so I knew what spice level to ask for. read more
