I love it here really nice people. Best pizza I've ever ate. And I was in NY for 9 months.

Hubs ordered the Goodfella Pizza, with a couple of deletions, and loved it. I chose the Elana Ruz sandwich and it was glorious! Not exaggerating, that sandwich was such a delicious combination of flavors. We were able to find seats inside while we waited, and then hubs found a table outside right before our food was ready. The weather was delightful so we enjoyed sitting outside. We loved the overall vibe, although inside was a little loud. Their decor everywhere was so much fun! We also appreciated the drink refills as we headed out. As we left, we saw tons of parking in an adjacent lot, which I've noted for future visits. Mountain Goat Market is now definitely a must-do on our next trip to The Caverns.

In a very large open room, I was reminded of a high school cafeteria. We were able to get a table right away. Order at the counter and seat yourself. We took turns ordering because our table was the last one and we didn't want to lose it. The meal took only a few minutes to prepare and we were eating by 12:55 The Reuben looked amazing as did the pizza. I was a little jealous. Especially since I ordered the fiesta burrito and found it to be mostly ... just.... okay. I was disappointed that the gift / souvenir shop was closed.

4.5/5, rounding up because the experience was just super positive!…read more Went on a short road trip to a nearby park on Veteran's Day and were looking for a spot that was open nearby to stop by for lunch. The Copper Penny was our choice! Be warned, parking is pretty limited. But it's so worth a visit! This is a sort of cafe style restaurant with sandwiches, soups, and lots of more gourmet homemade baked goods. They have lunch specials that come with a 1/2 sandwich and soup, though the sandwich choices are somewhat pared down compared to the main menu. The inside is airy and bright and the furniture is comfortable. You order at the counter. Staff was incredibly personable. The man who helped us later shared he was the owner's son. He welcomed everyone with genuine warmth and was eager to answer any and all questions people had. Our food came out in a reasonable time but there was a slight wait - though the apparent freshness made that more than worthwhile. My dad ordered a full Reuben sandwich; mom and I both chose the 1/2 sandwich and soup special. She got chicken salad and I got a grilled cheese. Both of us selected the red pepper soup. They have canned soda, which is what my dad got. I got a house-brewed sweet tea, which was gargantuan, delicious, and came with refills, though I can't imagine needing one based on how generous the portion was! Everyone's food was delicious. My grilled cheese was cooked absolutely perfectly and I could taste the flavors of each different cheese. The soup was so flavorful and comforting, the perfect thickness with nice crunchy croutons to pour on top at my leisure. Mom liked her chicken salad a lot, enjoying the fresh fruit inside the salad, and my dad was wowed by his Reuben. One of the better ones he's had in a while, he said, with lots of kraut, bread that stood up to it, and hearty corned beef. For dessert, we split a slice of hot cocoa cheesecake. For me, this was the only thing that was a *little* flat (I thought it was a little closer to a torte than a cheesecake and wished it had been a tiny bit fluffier), but the flavors were nice and my parents really enjoyed it. I got a peanut butter cupcake to take home for later and it fully redeemed their baked goods; it was delightfully moist, good icing to cake ratio, and bursting with PB flavor! I am not a huge cupcake girl and I could've eaten a dozen of these, lol. I hear tell they have a new, second location that opened in Fort Payne. Either spot, I'm sure, is outstanding. I'd highly recommend trying out this locally owned business. It has so much heart, thoughtfulness, and delicious food to offer!

Was torn between the black forest ham and chicken salad croissant but the cashier helped me pick ham (don't forget the apple slice in the middle!) Nice touches with industrial mirror frames, soft lighting, and floral wallpapers. Sorry I did not get any of the interior this time Soup of the day was AMAZING. Reminiscent of a creamy tomato bisque but the touch of gouda and peppers was beautifully done. Got simple dessert with sugar cookies and the guys behind the counter were so kind to give me double what I asked for, so sweet.

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted. Inside is clean with 4 tables for sitting inside to eat. The restaurant is small and cutely decorated. The display cases with meats, cheeses and different salads and condiments looked great. The deli meats for the subs is sliced very thin. We started with lasagna and garlic bread that Dave and I shared. The filling had beef and Italian sausage and it was delicious. The cheese pull was good and not too much. The red sauce was very good. 5/5 We ordered foods to go after eating the lasagna in store. I failed to take a picture of the lasagna. Suffice it to say it was inhaled quickly. We tried the eggplant panini in store too. Everything else was to go. I ordered a Bruno Sub and asked for roasted red peppers to be added. Honestly I couldn't taste the roasted red peppers as there weren't very many added. There was a thin slice of 1 onion ring on the sub so I couldn't taste any onion at all. For me that's a fail as I like to taste ingredients. 4/5 The eggplant panini came with a side of marinara. I have had eggplant panini's before and was anticipating this one. When I saw it, I was very disappointed. There were 2 very thin slices of eggplant inside a sub roll that had been put in a panini press or under bricks to smash the bread down. The only taste was bread. Marinara was good but couldn't rescue the panini. 1/5 We bought 1 arancini and it came with marinara. I heated it up along with the marinara. One bite in and I was sold. I would definitely go back and order arancini again. The meat inside was flavored well and the marinara made everything come together well. 5/5 We ordered a pastrami. For us there was way too much fat and we couldn't remove the fat like we can in a Jewish deli because this meat was sliced paper thin. 3/5 The potato salad was lacking in flavor to me. There was a significant amount of mayo in my opinion. Dave liked it. 3/5 The marinated artichokes were delicious and so were the white bean salad. 5/5 Dave ordered a Super Sub. It had 4 meats plus lettuce, tomato, and cheese. There was a tiny sliver of onion but we couldn't taste it. He loved his sub. 5/5 The two cannoli's were delicious. I favored the vanilla and Dave favored the chocolate. 5/5 We will return as the food was good. If you are missing an Italian Deli taste, please stop by. This place makes everything from scratch. It was worth the trip.
