So, the food and service are great! Can't get any fresher or more authentic. Felt like I was back in Mexico when I was there

Awesome gem tucked away in Sterling that is a must try! I'm not sure how authentic the food... but…read moreit is certainly delicious and freshly prepared which is all you really want in any food place. Being that it is a Greek restaurant, we had to try the gyro and falafel. The gyro was packed with meat and veggies which made every bite very satisfying. The gyro also came with fries which completed the whole meal. The falafel had great flavor and paired well with the Greek salad. The portion was generous so make sure you come hungry. Customer service was fast and super friendly. Overall solid experience and food that is worth a try. Can't wait to come back.

BLUF: After all these years and several locations later, Big Greek Cafe still delivers good food at…read morea decent value. The service at the Sterling location on the day I visited was excellent. Friendly, patient, helpful, and polite. The feel of the location itself is your typical fast-food joint. Get in. Get out. Seemed clean enough. Not very cozy as in a great place to hang out. Not sure how it is during peak hours but the parking lot might get a bit crowded. The street for sure is busy & can cause cars to back up into the parking lot. The food, while not as awesome as I remembered it 5 years ago in MD, is still tasty. Today's visit, the meat in gyros was a bit dry & the gyros & the side of fries I paid full price for were rather skimpy in serving, given that the gyros used to be served with fries included in the price of the gyro. Still, the fries & the gyros still taste good. Not as good a value as in days of old...even on $7 gyro Wednesdays (which used to be $5 gyro Wednesdays). The fried fish sandwich was a good deal in these horrible economic times because it comes with a good-sized filet and fries. Although, $2 extra for Greek fries that only had a tablespoon of garlic, dry herbs, and feta crumbles tossed on top rolling off the fries then pooling at the bottom of the container. The garlic, herbs, & feta are supposed to stick to piping hot fries steaming with the awesome garlicky oil. What I received was really underwhelming and didn't even come close to the Greek fries I remember. So, I'll preface this review conclusion with this: Big Greek Cafe was one of my absolute favorite local joints... the food made me drool just thinking about it. The food was always plentiful in servings, hot, fresh, aromatic, wonderfully delicious, and everything on the menu was such a good value, you'd end up buying a ton of food. Was this trip worth the drive? Glad the curiosity about whether this VA location equaled the MD experiences was satisfied. Probably no longer high on my list to go out of my way to drive 30 minutes to get what used to be my fav sandwich. It seems a little too fast-foodsy, mass-produced now than the original delectable hole-in-the-wall local joint. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely pick up something because it's still tasty...just not as fantastic as I remember.

I…read morehad gone there a handful of times and the food was great and always prepared properly as described and fresh. As of the last 6 months to a year things have been horrible. Ordering online, arriving at the store to just have the order not even prepared yet. I recently just visited on 4/23/2026 and it was the worst of them all. They were out of about 3 ingredients that went with my hot honey chicken bowl. The worker there did not know how to even make my bowl he kept having to look at the instructions on how to even make it. To add to that the blackened chicken wasn't even available as I ordered and was told when he was halfway done making it. Of course as soon as I paid for my meal the cook from the back walked out with a fresh batch of blackened chicken. The worker preparing my bowl didn't even bother to go back and check as he was making it to see if anymore was being prepared. All he did was say "sorry" and smirked as I walked out. The slaw that goes with my order was just raw onions, and also missing other ingredients. This location is horrible and it will be THE LAST time I go back. Ever. Don't go to this location at one Loudoun you will be highly let down on the quality of food and service provided.

Seasoned well, cooked well and has a delicious char. Yellow rice was a great compliment. Salad was wilted underneath the chicken but that's my bad. I should've known better. It also came with a yogurt sauce and sultana sauce. I love tzatziki but this was like a watered down tzatziki and I didn't like it. Sultana sauce is a seasoned mayo- not spicy. Good! Cajun-y? Chicken faroge wrap- grilled chicken, pickle, sultana sauce, garlic sauce in a wrap. The chicken, sauce, and pickles are good. The seasoned chicken with two sauces were super flavorful and not salty. Chicken was dry and wrap even dryer. I dislike the wrap- it's not soft like pita or crunchy. It's more like a dry pita bread that's thin. Sultana is located inside Dulles Town Center food court (upstairs). Fast casual. Service was fast (5 minutes) and friendly.

One of women who selected this location said they weee great. The dining area is bright with wide windows surrounding the room. It was clean and welcoming. Ordering is via counter. The staff was helpful and customized my sandwich to my liking. They offer a choose 2 and my choices were a pastrami sandwich and a "spud". The food was so delicious. The spud was a gigantic potatoe. This potatoe was a bigger than what most sit down restaurants serve. My pastrami on a baguette was so tasty: meat was hot and lean. I loved the portion. The highlight and reason for the 5 star was the staff. Food is delivered to your table via numbering system. The gentleman who attended to our table was so hospitable. I needed lemon, he brought lemon. I needed butter, he brought butter. To go containers were given as requested. Other staff members also came to check on our table. The first visit a young man named Spencer was very helpful and provided great suggestions on the food. He was very friendly and welcoming and made a great first impression of McAlisters. I'm not sure if he was new or didn't know what he was doing but he stood there not offering any suggestions or making conversation. We decided to eat in and just didn't feel very welcomed. We ate our meal and left. It's too bad our 2nd visit wasn't as good as our experience with Spencer. Thats the only reason I'm posting this is to recognize his great customer service. Thank you!

It's a small place and I think it's because it's for pick-up only. We decided not to do pick up and sit inside instead. They have a couple of tables inside and outside. The service was relatively quick and fast! We didn't have to wait too long and we only had an hour; and within that hour our pizza was ordered, ready, and our plates were empty. We ordered - Neapolitan Margherita 5/5 - I'm not sure if it was because we had trash pizza the night before so our expectations were low or because it really is THAT good. I wasn't that hungry, but I ended up eating half the pie! The cheese tasted super fresh and complimented the balsamic drizzle. I'll definitely be returning here or at least getting it for take-out!

Parking is easy, with ample spaces both directly in front of the restaurant and across the street. Inside, the seating area is on the smaller side but sufficient for small parties. The ordering process is straightforward: you order and pay at the register, take a seat, and they bring the food to your table. We ordered a salad and two pizzas, one regular and one vegan. The regular pizza came out quickly and tasted quite good. However, the vegan pizza was flavorless. A major contributing factor is likely that they do not offer vegan cheese, so it essentially amounted to a cauliflower crust with tomato sauce and vegetables. On a side note, the cellular signal inside the restaurant was non-existent for some reason. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience, but we likely won't be returning anytime soon.

Come on, that's an instant five stars in my book. We ended up talking wine with him for a good part of the afternoon. He had us sample a few different pours before we landed on a Nebbiolo we loved. Later, after another conversation about wine, he brought over a taste of a white we'd never even heard of because he thought we'd enjoy trying it. It never felt like an upsell. It just felt like talking with someone who genuinely enjoys wine and likes sharing it with people. Relaxing patio, great food, excellent cocktails, and genuinely memorable service. We'll definitely be back, and Onyx probably will too.
