Always consistent in food quality and prices are reasonable. The inside and exterior are outdated and don't necessarily draw you there but you go for the food but it is large enough to host large parties. The staff is very friendly and it's a great spot off the beaten path.

Perfectly grilled chicken. Fresh vegetables. Delicious cheese sauce. Great waiter. Typical Mexican restaurant atmosphere.

I was seeking a different Mexican restaurant to try. I figured the best thing to order anywhere is a fajita to get a good idea if it's worth coming back. I made my order online. I wasn't given an estimate time for pickup so I figured 15 mins was enough. It was ready upon pickup. Service was attentive and friendly. I got the shrimp fajita and the presentation was beautiful. The shrimp tasted good but the meal was bland. I found myself more interested in the chips and salsa. The salsa was a little hot 3 of 5 but I got use to it after coughing. I salted my meal with Kosher salt to my liking then it was good then. I'm super full and I think 4 stars is fair for the amount of food and just needing salt is potential for growth here. And to fix the small pothole outside.

We were looking for a place to eat around my dad's area to meet up & so good reviews on this place(plus I love Mexican food). We got there and weren't too busy(just opened an hour ago), which was a plus it has a good ambiance to meet up with family or friends. The server greets us with the biggest smile & seated us. The seat & table ratio was off(table lower than booth) but didn't prevent us from eating. The food was good & as pictured good amount of serves. The services were A1. I just wish they would've brought my chips & salsa.

My oldest son and I came here for our monthly outing. I read other good reviews for this place and we love Mexican food so it was an easy choice. Tables are spaced out here and they have a good sanitation grade. Chips and salsa was served. My son liked the salsa. I thought it was ok. I liked the queso better. He got chicken quesadillas and I got a whole fish. Food was fresh and good. Service was good and we saw a lot of to go orders being prepared. We will return!

Burrito Deluxe with Chips & Salsa. Plenty of food !

The food was bountiful and excellent. Prompt service starting with chips and salsa brought to the table when seated. They feature some large margaritas too.

In the mood for some Mexican Food so we went to our favorite place. If you want authentic Mexican Food, this is the place to go. They have good food, great staff and they are never overcrowded. So, what did we get? Well my wife got the combo #4. It had an enchilada and tostada and a taco. I got the El Vara Cruz quesadilla. It has chicken and cheese and queso cheese. I'm kind of weird so I got fries with it. Now we started out with fresh chips and salsa. We also cheese to dip it in. The chips come out super fast. We also got two sweet teas. Fast forward...the food comes out and as usual the food is great. I try my best to find something wrong every time but I fail every time. This one is short and simple. If you want good food, come here. Large cheese dip: $7.95 Drinks: $2.50 a piece Combo #4: 11.95 Quesadilla: $10.95 Total: $38.27 for two people (Tip not included)

When we walked in, the restaurant was nearly empty....literally only two tables were occupied. We specifically asked the host whether we could still order from the lunch menu since it was getting close to 3:00 p.m., and we were told yes. After being seated and waiting for our drinks, it was 3:18 p.m. When we went to order, our waitress informed us that we could no longer order from the lunch menu because it was after 3:00. If the cutoff was strict, we should have been told that before being seated, especially since we asked about it upfront. Instead, we wasted our time only to be given completely different information by another employee. The lack of communication between the staff was frustrating and unprofessional. We chose to leave rather than order from the regular menu. Hopefully management can improve communication so future guests don't have the same experience.

Being from California, we did not think our sushi standards could be topped, but this place completely proved us wrong. Some of our favorites were the salmon belly, the red snapper sampler, the yellowtail, and the slam on hand rolls. Everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. We also loved that they had Echigo beer, which is not easy to find and was a great addition to the meal. One thing that really stood out was how well balanced everything was. Nothing felt overwhelming or heavy, and every dish felt thoughtfully put together. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of the rolls here. I could not recommend this place more. An amazing experience from start to finish.

It had a Michelin 2025 sticker on the front door so I thought it would be amazing. I want to say that the service was excellent. Very attentive servers, very professional, very friendly. The service was 5-stars for sure. Next, the food. We started with the miso soup and ginger salad. Miso soup was bland and the ginger dressing on the salad was super bland. We ordered the crispy spicy tuna and the steamed shumai next. The crispy spicy tuna was weird. The first taste bud stimuli was fishy and the last thing you tasted was McDonald's hashbrowns. Also, the chopsticks were very cheap and when you picked up the piece it basically fell apart. The presentation for the steamed shumai was horrible. It was served in a bowl with the chili garlic sauce in a tiny bowl on the side. The pieces were wayyy too big to pick up with the chopsticks and for the mouth. But if you managed to get the thing in your mouth, it was super hot and basically burned your mouth. Like there was no option to take a bite it was either shove the whole thing in your mouth or not eat it at all. The rolls we ordered were the Mr Crabby, which was the only good thing we ordered. The Naruto, which had too many layers of cucumber wrapped around it and the pieces were mini. The villain, a $25 roll with caviar on top, but the caviar was so sparse, it could barely be seen with the naked eye. Rainbow roll was ok but again, the pieces were tiny. Every roll was flavorless and the price point was stupid. $122 plus tip for a bland lunch was retarded. Super disappointed.

As a transplant to Charlotte for work, I'm always searching for the ingredients and flavors I grew up with, and this place delivers. From the fresh seafood counter -- where you'll find beautiful tiger prawns -- to the endless rows of fish sauce, oyster sauce, and every variety of soy sauce imaginable (sweet, dark, mushroom, Japanese), the selection is impressive. The aisles are thoughtfully organized by cuisine and region, which makes navigating the store surprisingly easy, even if you're new to Asian markets. The frozen section alone is worth the trip. If you're looking for dumplings -- Chinese, Japanese, Korean, even Nepalese -- they've got you covered. And don't sleep on the handmade crepe cakes in the freezer. Yes, they're about $25, but they're stunning and absolutely delicious. Honestly, they rival the famous crepe cakes from Lady M in the San Francisco Bay Area, where those cakes can easily run over $100. At this price point, it feels like a steal -- and you'll definitely impress your guests. The produce section is another highlight. The ginger is incredibly fresh, and the variety is fantastic -- from gai lan and sweet chives to cebollitas (Mexican green onions) and crisp green beans. It's a true sensory experience for anyone who loves to cook. This isn't a trendy, boutique grocery store, and that's exactly the charm. It's old-school, practical, and stocked with the essentials. Toward the back right corner, you'll find pallets of noodles in every style -- Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean -- everything you could possibly need for home cooking. The butcher and fishmonger are also available to help, which adds a nice personal touch to the shopping experience. There's also a bakery inside with beautiful fruit-and-cream cakes -- the kind you'll recognize if you've ever celebrated in an Asian household. Light, fresh, and not overly sweet. And if you're a coffee lover, keep an eye out for Café du Monde coffee -- it's usually several dollars cheaper here than at typical grocery stores. A few friendly tips: * Go with a plan -- this place can be overwhelming in the best way. * Don't bring a big entourage unless they're ready to explore. * And if you visit the Pineville location, go hungry -- the food court alone is worth the trip. Both locations are fantastic, but the Pineville store is newer, larger, and especially fun to explore. Shop curious, cook boldly, and enjoy the adventure.

The restaurant itself has a charming Peruvian-inspired decor that adds to the atmosphere and gives it a unique, welcoming vibe. Although we were the only customers during the two and a half hours we were there on a Thursday night, it didn't negatively impact our experience at all. If anything, it made for a relaxed and unhurried evening. That said, it does make me wonder if the shopping plaza location might be limiting their visibility, because the restaurant definitely deserves more attention. The service was great--our waitress was very kind and attentive throughout the evening. As a nice touch, one of our friends received a complimentary birthday dessert complete with a candle, which made the night feel extra special. Overall, I'd recommend Lola to anyone looking for flavorful food and cocktails, and a cozy dining experience.

We started with 2 drinks - Bahama Mama and pina colada w/strawberry flavor . Had to send the bahama mama back as it was made on the rocks and not the icy blended drink I had in mind. It wasn't good. The bar tender took the drink dumped it in a blender with ice and served it right back to me. Not many of the ingredients were there. No grenadine no top or dark rum on top and definitely not enough rum to taste it was an alcoholic drink. Paid 10 bucks . Bummer. On to The dinner. We started with 2 cups of Clam chowder. We also ordered a CYO Ultimate Feast - with 5 dollar upcharge - to customize the way we wanted it - which was 2 of the Crab-legs along with Walt's Shrimp and Coconut Shrimp. Sides of brussel sprouts and coleslaw. The clam chowder soup was not good. It was awful . It was basically milk with celery and potatoes. There was no clams in it and did I mention it was watery milk like ? OMG . It was not the clam chowder that I was expecting. It wasn't good. I finally had to get up and go find the manager to complain about the milky watery soup as the waitress never came back to check on us. When the dinner was served she dropped it off and left. We had nothing to crack the crabs with and nothing to put shells in . I dumped the biscuit basket and used that. We also ordered an extra pound of crab-legs. So it was a mess . Finally got the waitress to bring a nut cracker that we used as the crab cracker to open the crabs with. No little fork or crab leg opener offered. No lemons. No hand wipes . No extra napkins. We finally got her to come back at the end of the meal when she realized she forgot the side dish that should have been delivered when the food arrived. So there we were sitting with sticky hands and a side dish after the meal was completed. Never did she offer to refill water. It was not a good experience. The waitress was not great. Never cleared our table or offered to refill water. Honestly it was just one series of bad things after another. Our first time back after almost a year waiting and this ... Lesson learned. We spent 100 bucks and trust me we won't Ever do that again. I don't recommend this place.
