Chris is without a doubt the best customer advocate at any dealer that I have dealt with in 70 years of being on this planet. The entire service staff has always performed above and beyond my expectations and I wish I had a way to acknowledge each and every one of them. I am extremely grateful for their understanding, compassion and desire to do right by every customer. If you have a Jeep and you need service this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. We all have heard horror stories about going to the dealership for maintenance, but here at Champion in Athens it could not be further from the truth. placed charged me $165 to diagnose the truck. dropped truck off on a Friday, then they called me and said they needed $600 for a deposit on parts ordered from Atlanta .paid the deposit on friday. come Tuesday I went to see what was going on with the truck. they said the parts department didn't order the parts which actually came from Decatur,Alabama jeep dealership which is 15 min away.I complained about how long it will take to get truck fixed...15 min after I left,the cashier called me and said they didn't want to work on the truck. upon picking up my truck they wrote that I declined repairs on the receipt. this place sucks..Alex Andrew's, and Nicole Robbin's are as trashy as they come. read more

I've had a front row seat to the frustration of a relative who made a purchase of 2012 Genesis this past July 2020. They were so proud of the Genesis he bought. And over all it is a nice ride. Except... They brought the car back to the Midsouth and were proud new owner! They shared their experience and felt really good about the purchase. But since they're returning with the car, there has been a nagging "noise" related to the drivetrain. They were told by an employee that the noise was just a heat shield. Over that past number of months I personally witnessed the noise. It became clear the noise was not related to a heat shield. The noise was related to the drivetrain, specifically the clutch-transmission. Since it's become clear the issue does not appear to be a simple heat shield issue, they've been trying to get it into a local repair shop. It finally is in a local shop that hopefully will have a resolution, but initial estimates before parts is pushing $3000 and the final prognosis has yet to be determined. They also have attempted to open a discussion with Champion about the drivetrain issue. I'm told, they were told the car was sold as is... they are beyond disappointed... So am I! I've made similar purchases, including as is, but we came to an amicable arrangement when issues have occurred. I hope these folks do the right thing! I plan to follow up and post once we know what was really wrong with the Genesis. read more

as much as I can blame my initial frustration on the previous shop this place did no better. I paid for a diagnostic and during the diagnostic they took the ground look to check corrosion and found that was it. it was an obvious quick fix required through a typical diagnostic and they charged 2.5 times original amount quoted because the diagnostic fixed the issue. all this after they knew I was previously done poorly by someone else. though I do thank them for fixing a corroded ground wire and charging me 375$ I feel this was disingenuous and will not use them again read more

Bought a 2015 silverado (5 years ago) from them. We just get a battery replaced and a/c stops working and need my computer reflashed( per 3 other mechanics). Make an appointment on the 26th for 7 am today and bring up there. Once there the lady says "see all them cars in the lane in front of you" "some have been here a month" Proceeds to tell me itll be a month before they can look at it.. All this after me and wife take off work and drive it up there with an appointment. The worst dealership I have ever bought a vehicle from!!! Customer service ends when they get their money! I bought a $75k truck from them. They lost one of the key fobs to it and said they would call when they found it. 2 months later I had to call them. They set up an appointment for me to come in during the week to program a new fob. So I took the morning off of work thinking it would be really quick. I sat outside in the heat for 3.5 hours only for them to tell me that they don't have a fob for my vehicle. They had 2 weeks to make sure they had the right one!! Then the key guy said they would call me and come to my work to get it taken care of. That was 2 months ago and still no call. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! You have been warned! Update !! After 10 more calls and a couple more months I finally got an appointment to take my vehicle in for a new fob. I showed up to only find out that they didn't have my appointment scheduled. They told me they may have one and I handed them the key and waited. I waited for 2.5 hours for them to take me that they don't have a fob for my vehicle. I was fuming because I have lost more $ by taking off of work than a new fob would have cost me out of pocket. They then called me a few days later and said they have a key blank ....... I said it's supposed to be a fob. The lady said oh ..... well let me check and see if it's a fob and we will call you back. Guess what ......NO CALL. That was approximately a month ago. I have now owned my vehicle for almost a year now and no fob from these fools !!! I have never dealt with suck pathetic people in my entire life. My experience was with the Dodge side of the business but they are not listed on yelp. Same company though. read more

I bought at Donohoo Chevy in Fort Payne for the best deal on my Tahoe. Took my car in for repair for not starting. Bruce, the "overweight/greasy" mechanic called me to come pick it up and told me that I needed a new engine. I knew he was lying but they charged me $530 anyway. Took it to another repair shop and found it needed a PCM. Bought a used on on e-bay for $50 and off I go. Get this...the entire management team quit. From the General Manager to the lowest walked out. Now only the "idiots" are left to run the asylum. read more

Me and my wife bought her first new car at Champion auto group. Three months after buying it we started hearing a raddle. In the last two years it has been in the shop six times. Service manager said he has do everything he can do to fix it. We still have the raddle. The sales manager told me we could trade it in. I drove an hour to buy a specific car and when I got there the salesman bragged to me how they would take that car out and burn donuts with it. This is supposed to impress me that you are abusing the car I came to buy? As I was buying the car for my wife I wanted her to drive the car with the salesman but I was told I had to qualify before she could drive the car. What a let down as I have never been told that I had to qualify to drive a car. I will never go back to that dealership. read more

Bought a truck there, they refused to give me the inspection report from when they "serviced" it, it got home but wouldn't start the next day. It was missing, as in they were not there at all, 2 oxygen sensors, the battery wires were corroded, the battery had no charge and needed replacing and that was all I saw then. Fixed that and had bad feelings, the other 2 oxygen sensors stopped working, fixed them, they quit again, took it to a mechanic and there were no bolts holding it together. So my fluids were leaking and destroying my oxygen sensors. Fixed that and less than a week later the intake manifold went out. I went down to the dealership to get a copy of the service report, and they refused until I demanded it and refused to leave. They gave it to me and it was a flat lie, said they replaced all sorts of stuff and changed my fluids that had not been changed or had been empty. Asked what the heck they were going to do as I had proof this was a lie and the manager of the used cars threw his hands up and said it was never his problem. Can I give 0 stars for a collection of scam artists? Useless people, useless business. Don't waste your money on a lemon they market as in perfect condition. The staff has been rude to me every time I go in, they talk about people being to poor to afford a vehicle in front of the person, they are all overall just rude, lying, scum bags. read more
