They did a great job on my Mazda. A jiffy lube place said my brake fluid was low. Tire discounters checked my brakes, fluid, pads and said there were no issues and charged me zero. I did have to make an appointment for the next day after stopping by to discuss my brake "issue." My husband followed me over there for the 0830 appointment to drop the car off and at around 1030 they called to say they were done and there was zero charge. Thanks Tire Discounters, because I fully expected you to drain and replace my brake fluid and replace my brake pads. My car only has 40k miles. An easy 5 stars! read more

tire rotation and break inspection. prices are crazy high. set of break pad and rotors 600 is crazy when I got a price on the rotors for 49 and the break pads for 42. my car only has 45000 miles on it they said I need brand new rotors thats crazy. im never coming back they are in the business of cheating you out of money. read more

I called for a quote to the tire pressure monitors changed out in my truck. The guy replied "$79.95 each, so basically $80 each plus tax." I asked about labor and he said "the $80 each includes labor, just add tax". I made an appointment the next day and I got hit with an additional $39.95 shop fee. I asked what that was and the guy there said "you know paper towels and such". How many paper towels did they use. I'll never use Tire Discounters again. read more

I had a wonderful experience. Mike went above and beyond what he had to do to ensure I was cared for. I bought four new tires for my Sienna, alignment & balance, and oil change. I asked them to check and let me know what needed to be done. Mike walked me through what needs to be done in the future and some immediate needs. Disgraceful and disrespectful - would leave a zero or half star if I could called on Friday 6/18/21 - scheduled car drop off at 10 am. On Saturday 6/19/21- the Car was there by 5 min till. Upon entering the parking lot, cars were EVERYWHERE. My husband took keys in and notified them of a 10am appt vehicle was here. The man at the counter was pleasant but obviously overwhelmed. We were told an employee no called/ No showed. Relief was spoken by the man behind the Counter that we A) had an appointment (not a walk in) and B) because we would be dropping off ( I assume to give them more time) We began calling for an update around 2pm. Nothing except a phone that would ring literally OFF THE HOOK... around 3pm I was able to get the gold commercial routine that played on hold for TEN MINUTES. Driving back from Madison I was almost there after holding. We arrive to find the car parked in THE SAME SPOT- my husband goes in (it's raining )& is in the office for a while - said there were 3 other customers in front of him - only to be told they FAILED to arrange the delivery of the specific Tires we ordered from Madison Store and therefore they had it done ANYTHING to my car which I dropped off FIVE HOURS earlier WITH AN APPOINTMENT! Not only that , didn't bother to call or answer the phone ... The man at the counter was beyond upset himself as he had dealt with at least one other aggravated customer who had waited all day also & still had not gotten their stuff done either . We are still waiting now & 3:30 pm- our ENTIRE day has been WASTED ON TIRE DISCOUNTERS and they don't even consider WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT- yet everyone else who "walked up" is done and gone for the most part. Biggest SHITT SHOW in Athens - I understand being short handed - esp now since some have been paid more to sit at home - but the LACK OF COMMUNICATION- to provide me info I could have proceeded w day off needing done activities or made a choice to go elsewhere!! WILL NEVER BE BACK! *of note they did try to "smooth things over " for absolutely holding up my entire day off by offering to upgrade my tires for "free" free isn't anything when you have essentially stolen time - which I can not ever get back. read more

Athens Tire Discounters store fed me misinformation about my tires in an attempt to sell me new ones. I reached out to the Madison Tire Discounters store who advised tires were fine and could be rotated. Drive to Madison. Recommend avoiding this store. Simple honesty goes a long way in building a customer base. Trust is a beautiful thing. This store lost mine. read more

Complete inept in doing a wheel alignment. I got new tires with no issues, but when they tried to do an alignment they said I had to replace the pitman arm and idler arm. So I got my Tahoe back and took care of it. I took it back for the alignment, after the said it was good I got it back. On the drive home the car was pulling heavy to right. So I took it back to do again. The second time they said they got it right and the issue was "loose stuff". Not sure if that was a technical term. Oh, it still pulls to the right. I guess I'll fix it myself and send them the bill. read more

After an initial mix-up with ordering my tire, Tire Discounters was on top of everything! Had me in and out within 30 minutes. Awesome!

Pricing is very fair and they have a nice clean waiting area. Thank God because you're gonna spend a lot of time waiting. Absolutely zero sense of urgency from any employee. Took nearly 2 hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation, with an appointment ! Not a balance....just a rotation. All the while the employees are strolling around as if they have all day to complete a task. Should've been in and out in one hour MAX. read more

This place is great! Yesterday, I phoned the store and spoke with Mario. Dropped off my tire and it was "hands free." He just grabbed it from the trunk area. It was fixed that afternoon but I could not return until this morning. Mario told me that I did not need a new tire, just a patch. Today, I arrived at 8:00 am and I was out of there by 9:00. It was under $30.00 and I am happy about that. He could have easily have sold me a tire and I appreciate his integrity and honesty. That alone is worth five stars! I will definitely bring my other cars to Tire Discounters in Athens in the future. The interior is spotless, nice television and coffee area. They have a children's play area with circular porthole windows, a small table, and their own television. Doesn't get any better than this! read more

3rd oil change 2nd time of having a problem. The mechanic did not put the oil filter on right. Oil all over the and my driveway and garage. It was obvious they did not check their work. Fortunately only 1/2 quart was lost. I wish I could find a place that could be trusted. read more

My tire light was on so I called near closing time to see if they could get me in the next day and he said to come on in and they would look at it. One tire was leaking. Turned out needing all new tires anyway and the crew stayed late to put them on and align them for me. They said it would've been a safety issue for me and took care of it quickly. I appreciate Michael Patriquin and the other guys there that day that were able to help me out and went above and beyond. read more

Would have given this place a zero but it wasn't an option. Incompetent staff who engages in lying to customers. Took vehicle there Thursday just after lunch. for a simple oil change. Called at 2:30 pm to see if it was completed. They told me the were just driving it in and it would be 30 minutes. Went at 4:00 pm to pick up and they had not even started. If your going to to do business in Athens at least be honest. read more

This place is awesome. Shop was clean. The employees were friendly and very knowledgeable. The assistant manager helped me out. He was awesome. Gave me a great price and even gave a military discount. I left Discount tire in Madison mad, cause they suck. I stopped in here hoping for better results. They did not disappoint. Four brand new tires and alignment 36 mins. Looks great and I didn't wait all day. Great job guys. Thank you again. read more

Update. No one has contacted me since being messaged that someone from the corporate office would be contacting me. I'll never go to that location to replace my tires. But I paid for road hazard and wheel alignment so I guess I'm stuck to them for a bit. read more
