this company installed a pool I purchased at Island I noticed my liner was starting to on one end and I contacted Island wreck and they said they contacted champion. However I have not received any response back from them. They received emails and I reached out by and still not have received a call back I did call another pool service company to come and look at the liner as I was afraid it would compromise my pool however thank God it will not compromise the pool. However, the did say if they had any pride in they would come fix liner was bubbled and not clipped in correctly and lots of flaws some which I could live with, but beware of this company. They are not reliable and the customer service is terrible. read more

Poor Workmanship, Property Damage, and No Accountability We purchased a 15' x 30' semi-inground pool from Island Recreation who uses Champion for Installations, expecting a professional installation and quality workmanship. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from start to finish. During excavation, the installation crew damaged our backyard pavers, leaving us with several thousand dollars in repair costs. The crew also left garbage and construction debris throughout our yard, requiring us to clean up after them. The most significant issue involved the pool liner. The liner was installed so tightly that it eventually pulled away from the skimmer, tore, and caused a leak. Also the pool was installed when the weather was still pretty cool and they should have never cut the whole for the skimmer the same day. Rather than accepting responsibility for what appeared to be an installation-related issue, Champion Pool blamed us for the damage. When we tried to discuss the situation, we were met with a rude and dismissive attitude. We were frequently interrupted and spoken over instead of being given the opportunity to explain our concerns. As a paying customer, I expected respectful communication and a genuine effort to resolve the problem. The company's "resolution" was for us to purchase an entirely new liner at our own expense and then pay an additional $500 for a discounted reinstallation. After spending thousands of dollars on a pool and then dealing with a liner failure, property damage, and poor customer service, this did not feel like a fair resolution. What should have been an exciting investment for our family became a stressful, expensive, and frustrating experience. Between the damaged pavers, debris left throughout our yard, the liner failure, and the lack of accountability, I cannot recommend Champion Pool. read more

Friday 4.25 Please be patient when hiring a company to do any kind of work in your house, it can be a nice boat ride in the ocean or it'll be a nightmare in your awaken life and you can't fall asleep from the stress! Friday 4.18 If you decide to hire them against my recommendation, make sure you get a written estimate before starting the job. We spoke to Robert, the owner, about a couple of months ago to set up an appointment for them to replace our pool lining and also open the pool at the same time. Rob, not the owner but a worker showed up rude, he gave us the receipt that it was $300 more than quoted, and he was loud and argumentative about it and everything from the beginning! We tried calling Robert but he didn't pick up. We left several messages and we still haven't got a call back.(5 hours later) As Rob was working he would keep telling us he needs to charge more for this and that. He said he was doing stuff and he says that is not his job. He keeps saying " I'm here to replace the lining and that's all I don't open the pool or connect the filter and on and on and on! STRESSED! We know about seven weeks ago when we were scheduling this work we didn't do it then because Robert is the one who recommended they would wait to do it later in April that way they can open the pool at the same time as well. My BF was busy with his work, I was to see Rob finishes everything properly. I walked out to backyard and he was tying the pump basket on, at the time I remembered not seeing them putting the side foam and the bottom foam in the pool. I asked him " did you put the foams in, side and bottom?, he says " everything's in"! also right away, he said who's paying me I gotta go I gotta go. They don't do the trash, see pictures of the trash left at my house! After they left, I went through our security camera and saw Rob didn't put the side foam and bottom foam in the pool, instead saw him stealing my boxes of foams. Saw him telling one of the guys to take the boxes to the van. WTH We called the office left a message said we got robbed. They never answer the calls. A woman called back after a while and Robert called us back after an hour or something. I didn't check the time. Rob came back Saturday put the forms in! he was supposed to be here in the morning, but then he said 11 AM then he called at 10:30 AM said he'll be here in 90 minutes but then he was here in two hours. We sat at home and waited and wasted a beautiful Saturday. Later we find out he didn't use all the screws and the rings. We find all these things inside the pump basket. WTH my BF even went bought some of the stuff that he said are missing and later we find it was all inside the filter, some extra Parts he didn't even bother to put it on. It's been a nightmare at this time a few days after it was done! It's more of a nightmare now it's Friday following week that we finished filling up the pool and the water are leaking all through around the pipes everywhere. They never answer the calls! they answer each other's phone calls, but they never answer my calls! I'm still waiting for them to call me back so that they can come back and tighten everything. also, I don't know if I mentioned it, one pool cab is missing and one is broken. Robert knows about this and he hasn't followed up as to how he will replace this. He was supposed to call us back past Monday to follow up with work finished on Saturday, it's an off Friday. Had no choice who installed our Island Rec pool so it was Champion. The pool filter was hooked up incorrectly with the back wash valve port hose going into the return port of the pool. The "filter" port hose was hooked up to the "wash" port..thus the corresponding valve selector did not match what you selected. Several phone calls to Champion were met with defensive, argumentative attitudes etc. Upon further inspection of the filter I noticed in black raised letters on the valve port were "filter" and "wash" with each respective hose installed in the other port...Champion argued it was a manufacturer's defect of the valve..no matter how much I tried to explain what I observed on the filter? Champion insisted I needed to get a replacement part from Island Rec., which I did..Champion sent out their "filter" expert to swap out the directional valve...when it was pointed out to the "expert" the hose problem..he just needed to switch the hoses and not replace the whole directional valve and the filter worked as it should...For a company that installs pools and filters everyday, this was a rookie mistake. I was not present when this incompetent individual installed the filter, but what was even worse was their attitude when the mistake was pointed out to them..avoid these guys if you can.. read more

As the pool season gets underway I would like to warn everyone about using Champion Installers. Completely negligent and sloppy. They installed my pool too close to my fence and now i need a variance! They have refused to contribute anything to the costs of the variance. Further, they are sloppy and destructive in their installation. They ripped up my backyard sprinklers- which obviously occurs- but they only left the tubing out on one side of the yard. I have gotten two estimates over $1000 to repair this and both sprinkler companies have written on the estimates that the pool installer is at fault for the high estimate! Stay away! I just had the most amazing experience with Champion Pool Installations. Mike was very supportive on the phone when I told him I had a liner leak and was looking for a company to install a new liner. I told him that I was on the fence about keeping my pool as the only ones who use it are the grandkids on occasional visits. He was very empathetic and said that visiting with grandkids is very important and that the pool would give us much joy. I agreed and we set up an installation appointment. The 3 men who came to perform this important service were so professional and supportive and had my new liner up within an hour. They were incredibly knowledgeable and organized and when they were finished my new liner looked fantastic. The pool's been full for a week with no problems. Thank you Champion Pools. Had a great experience when I made my pool installation appointment. Gentleman I spoke to gave me a play by play rundown of pricing and such. Day before installation, received my window of arrival. Day of installation, received a confirmation of not before 1pm. No problem. At 2pm no call no show. I had to continually call throughout the day to find out what time they were arriving. They finally arrived at almost 5pm. They could have just said that from the first call. When they arrived everyone was great except 1 guy. HUGE attitude. Guess what? Not my problem you're tired and got held up. Had to run out and get pool filter sand because I wasn't told I needed that. And they almost charged me full price for filter installation when I was going to finish the job myself if I didn't make it back in time with the sand. After pool was filled, filter started leaking. They came out and tightened it because it wasn't tightened properly. (Exact words from the installer). Now a hose is leaking. Called for service, supposed to come today. Get a call from same guy who installed, same attitude, now telling me it's $225 to come out. Why wasn't this told when I called? Proceeded to argue with me about first repair (claimed it was a courtesy). Courtesy?? You didn't install it properly. This man's attitude is horrendous and he should really check himself before he speaks and deals with paying customers. Had the nerve to tell me that because I live in queens it's an issue! What does where I live had to do with the quality of your services?? I paid you for your service and you are making excuses?? Sir please take several seats!! read more

As someone who doesn't know much about the pool installation process, I had major anxiety over the efficiency of my pools repair and was worried if the issues with my liner would be too severe to save. When it comes to services like repairing my entire pool, I'm someone who wants to know I'm putting my money into the right place and not wasting it just to have to fix again later on. Champion ended up relieving all of my worries, and essentially solved every problem I had with my pool, all for a price I really appreciated. When I called hours AFTER the time window given to me, they were extremely rude and unprofessional as if I was wrong to ask the status of someone showing up. I purchased a pool from island recreational they sub contracted this company to us . They came the first time said the pool wouldn't fit made us order a different size pool said I would work. They sent a different set of installers which than proceeded to tell us again that the new pool won't fit. They told us we needed to break a piece of cement so me and my husband started to break it and they told us they were going for lunch and will be right back. They never came back! We called back and the man who answered said they left because they didn't think we could break it. We exchanged words (those I will not write )they were very rude!!! Said they were coming again Saturday 9-11 no one called no one showed again. We called had to leave a message because no one picks up that line, they call back and asked for 2 more hours they are running behind. Well 2 hours later we get another call that they are super tired from working in the sun and would really appreciate if they can come tomorrow at 7:30am we agreed. Today is Sunday it's 9:06 and no one is here and the website says they are closed I'm am so angry and it seems there is nothing I can do since this is the only place that Island recreational sub contracts and getting my money back is another joke read more
