It's as if you have to know the secret password for the bouncer to let you in. The neighborhood is pretty much as rough and dicey as they come, so you'll want to take advantage of their free delivery. Honestly, if you didn't know that The Champion Pizza exists you would spend your entire life knowing that something was missing; you'd never know just what it was... Just that something was definitely, horribly wrong. They charge an additional dollar for thick crust, but it's worth it. If I hadn't received a door hanger and taken a chance, I would be much the worse for it. The Champion Pizza has an extensive menu from phenomenal pizza (with a sauce that is as unique as it is delicious) and an incredible choice of toppings (including spinach, anchovies, feta cheese, REAL Italian sausage and all the normal goodies you would expect from an average pizza joint but, get this, pickled as well as fresh jalapenos), to a salad menu that leaves you confused by it's expansiveness; the menu doesn't stop there, no. Sandwiches from Philly cheese steak (the real deal) to tuna melt, Italian hoagie and, hey, wait, am I supposed to write out their entire menu for you? Just go online to www.thechampionpizza.com. And no, I do not work for this hidden treasure trove, nor am I part of the family, it's just THAT good. Do your homework and find the delight for yourself. LOL. Hours are 11:00am to 11:00pm. The only thing I would change would be the addition, among their delicious selection of cheesecakes would be the a nice cannelloni! Fresh tasting toppings and cheese, sauce is tasty as well. The crust has a nice Domino's like crunch but once you bite into it you can tell right away this is no processed piece of dough but a nicely kneaded and yeasty ingredient that keeps you taking more and more bites, the only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because although the pizza is good, well prized and it did not take long, it was very cold. Hopefully that was just a hiccup and I can Edit this review next time I order. read more

I order out for delivery for lunch today and added a triple chocolate cheesecake. When it came they gave me strawberry cheesecake instead. So I called them back and the guy that answered the phone told me the manager was busy and that he will take care of it. Waited 45 minutes and called back. The same guy answered the phone told me the manager was gone for the day.? Then he told me that I ordered the strawberry cheesecake, not the chocolate. Than he told me that they were out. So I asked why they didn't tell me that when I placed the order. He didn't even apologize or anything. After ordering my family special pizza, once I arrived, my order wasn't ready after 20 minutes. They also forgot an order of my Greek pizza, so I had to wait an extra 15 minutes. This customer service was way below par, definitely wouldn't order again. And for the pizza.. it's below average, not cooked very well. read more

I'm new to the Houston area and i was looking for some good pizza. I've tried a couple places and they were all terrible. I ordered pickup and got a large pepperoni pizza for 9.50. It's in a kind of shady area. Lots of people just hanging out in front of the pizza place and in the plaza its in. Neighborhood is rough. However the pizza is actually quite good. Quality is good, i just thought the crust tasted a little weird but i'm weird about crust. I would have given this an easy 4 starts if not 5 if not for how bad the neighborhood is that there in and the crust. But overall i enjoyed it and i will order again just next time they will be delivering it to me. read more

never eat here these people are out to steal your money and feed you old cheese that looks like plastic! call barry's pizza or papa johns! what happened is that my pizza arrived 20 min late meaning 1hour 5min from initial order. the pizza looked like it had sat in the car for 25 min! the cheese was plastic looking! i told the man i had to pass on the pizza but i would buy the pasta and the 2 liter.
