Terrible gel application glopped on and lumpy.
    Amanda P.

I am so sad to have to write this but the last few times of this place have really been disappointing ending with truly terrible today. The woman at the front desk is truly just awful. She lets the phone ring incessantly, is rude and can't even say hello when you walk in and say hello to her. I have told the owner about her before and she even said that she has heard that from other before...strange that she would keep a person like her as the first point of contact when she has heard and knows about issues. All the techs that we have known for years are gone suddenly too and didn't even recognize any of the techs there now. Wondering if something happened to make them all leave? Lastly, they have us write our nail color on the papers in the very beginning yet I was asked, NO JOKE, 4 times what color I wanted. This was the last time for us and we will be going elsewhere.

I really don't like to leave bad reviews, but I feel obligated to warn people of getting their gel filed off instead of soaked. I know better and allowed it to happen. My nails are sore, paper thin, filed to the skin. The grow-out just keeps breaking. Was staying at the Marriott for a work trip and popped in. My experience was relaxing and pleasant on site but I wasn't paying attention. My nails were sore (still are) after getting a fresh gel manicure. 2wks later, at home, I went to my regular salon to get my gel soaked off and my technician was horrified at what she saw. My nails are paper thin and filed to the skin. My technician wouldn't put new gel on, she recommended I let them heal. So here is what my nails look like under the polish.

I've been going to CNB for over a year now for manicures and pedicures every 2 weeks and figured it was time to give a thorough review. Appearance and upkeep: the salon is immaculate. It is always clean from the chairs to the bathrooms to the counters. Every time you walk in the salon it is above the standard! Employees: every person I have held a conversation with has been so kind, caring, and seem to truly love what they do. They are great people! Nails: every 2 weeks I get a full pedicure with polish and a dip nail manicure. I'm an extremely rough person on my nails. If I'm not at work I'm in the garden, gym, etc. pretty much all things that have potential to ruin my nails. My toe polish always lasts the 2 weeks and my dip nails have only ever broken if it was my fault. The shape, length, and thickness of the dip is always perfect and they always last the 2 weeks. I love this nail salon and everyone in it!

This is my nail bar of choice. They are always nice and always do a great job on both my manicure and pedicure. My husband also comes for his pedicure and he is definitely not complaining. I highly recommend.

My first time going to this nail salon, overall it was very beautiful inside, and they had a lot of color options for gel and even more for nexgen. I got the deluxe mani and pedicure, spent a good amount of money there later in the day on Wednesday.. hours later the gel was already lifting on my right hand. I went back Thursday and the same girl fixed my one broken nail, as well as a few others that appeared they would be lifting soon. Later that same day three nails started to lift again. They had very nice customer service when I was there originally, and when I went back to fix the first nail. I gave them 3 stars because of the beautiful salon and customer service. Since I spent a lot of money there and my nails couldn't even last 24 hours I couldn't give them the 5 stars.

Pre-COVID, I got my nails dipped every 2-3 weeks for many years at another salon in Alliance. I live very close to this salon, have since had a baby, and have finally been feeling like I want to pamper myself again. I made the decision to resume getting dip nails. I talked to who I thought was the owner (we'll call her "owner 1"). She told me she was the owner, was extremely helpful and personable, and recommended a few people to me. I told her that I was looking to be a frequent client. I finally pulled the trigger and got them done last Wednesday (1/5). I always just did "dip only" - no manicure at my last salon. That's what I opted for and never thought anything of it. After my nails were finished, I thought "wow my cuticles were pretty untouched. I hope this lasts." Over the next couple days, they started looking worse and worse. I initially thought I would just wait for 2 weeks and talk to whoever did my nails next.. but they look really bad now. Some have what looks like a 1/4" grow out because the cuticle has been pushed back with me just using my hands/life and some look normal. I decided not to wait and ask them if they work with me. I called up there and told them I wanted to talk to them about it. I would come up there if they wanted. I got there and the woman the the front glanced at them for 2 seconds and told me that they can't help with the peeling skin. I told her I didn't care about the skin. If the manicurist would have suggested to get a manicure to take care of my cuticles before the dip, I would have completely understood and gone that route. I wasn't given an option, and they look bad 5 days post. She proceeded to print out the receipt and tell me I only paid for dip. I told her that I understood that. They were super busy the night I got them done, and I'm sure the manicurist was tired. I just wanted someone to look at the situation and care enough to come to a resolution with me. We went in circles. She told me some nails grow faster. I told her yes, I've had dip nails a lot. I know that. and I just said ok nevermind and walked out. I called right back wanting to know when owner 1 would be in, and the lady said she's the owner and proceeding to rudely tell me that I didn't pay for cuticle cutting. The last thing I want to do is spend another hour at the salon to have them fixed. I don't want a free service. I just wanted nice nails for a couple weeks. It took me a long time to talk myself into this service again, and I'm incredibly frustrated. I don't know who the real owner is, but either way, I won't be back.

Got a toe infection from them ripping out side of my nail

Everything was great until the lady giving me a pedicure ripped out the side of my toenail after I mentioned I'm sensitive she didn't even ask to remove it. 4 days later my toe was infected and had puss as a result. I now have to be on medication to avoid a staph infection. Never coming back this is not a hygenic or safe practice for pedicures.

honestly not bad , I was hesitant because of the reviews but don't let the reviews sway you every company has a bad review, you can't make everyone happy! Love my nails and was in and out in a good time!

Unsanitary pedicure stations, with residue from a prior client. My husband and I were seated in these chairs--
    Andrea M.

Review: The "receptionist/drink maker" NEVER WORE A MASK THE ENTIRE TIME SHE CLEANED AND PREPARED DRINKS FOR CUSTOMERS. Very unpleasant and unsatisfactory service! Especially during a global pandemic. We were seated at unsightly/unsanitary pedicure stations, with residue from a prior clients stuck to the cabinets and chairs. My husband and I were seated in these chairs-- when I asked the "receptionist/drink maker" if the chairs were cleaned; she shrugged us off and said we don't have to put our feet on that part of the chair anyway. She did not clean it and ignored us and moved on to helping other guest. Of course-- the first thing that the pedicurist asked me to do; was to place my feet on the unsanitary area (the same area the "receptionist/drink maker" said we didn't need to place our feet). Also, the "receptionist/drink maker" never came back around nor did she check on us or asked us if we needed anything. Almost as if I offended her by asking if our seats were clean. I will never come back here-- solely due to the customer service of the the "receptionist/drink maker". The front desk host and both of the pedicurist were pleasant. But the "receptionist/drink maker" needs a crash-course in CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was going to get a full set of nails/dip-- but the uncleanliness and unwillingness to show service totally changed my mind.

We both got started with warm water foot baths and were offered complimentary wine. My girlfriends technician got started right away. Mine came a bit later but diligently started to remove the polish from my left foot. This is the weird part - he then disappeared to the back for an inordinate amount of time. Almost forty minutes! So I was left to sit with my feet in gradually cooler water, one foot still with old polish, and I never got my pedicure! My girlfriend had her service finished and my technician came out from the back to process her payment. It seemed he was watching videos on his phone. I ended up leaving and declining to continue with the pedicure. Not an overtly bad experience, but certainly an odd one!

First we waited for about30 min Without soaking the feet or even being acknowledged. Then they try to up-sell the mani pedi to deluxe or whatever it is.. gel cost me 38 pedicure plus 20 so $58 just for pedicure. Manicure I believe was $40 for gel. Pretty expensive. They might have raised the prices. The guy that was doing my nails was super nice but did not know what the hell he was doing. Didn't remove cuticles, and painted very poorly! After, telling them I didn't like it, he repainted again, but the result was still the same. The owner came up and said someone else will do it, they actually cut my cuticles then and repainted AGAIN. That's only 2 hours in BTW. Gel mani- he started to file down my nails without soaking in foil. I said no filing just foil, he gave me a bunch of acetone to soak all my fingers too! HOW LAZY!! he also gave me an attitude and then switched with some other girl. I heard the best way to remove gel is to wrap individually with foil to save your nail from filing and grinding. So it's like already 3 hours in now and I'm about to pay my bill. They say we give you a discount. I look at the receipt and it says $88. they gave me like $5 off for this horrible experience and job. I questioned the owner and he continued to argue with me that it was more than $5 discount. They night be really bad at math or just rude and stingy. I walked out of there unhappy, pissed instead of the "spa" experience I wanted. So I return home and 2 days later have a nail infection and my nails look like they already are out for like a week. Screw this place. Never coming back here again. Spare yourselves!! Save your money and go somewhere else. These people just want to make a quick buck off you and not care about quality and how they do things.

I came in September 19, 2022 with no distinct plan. I had emailed back and forth online for booking…read more(mind you I wasn't even in contact with Jay) and we came to an agreement for a time and date and standard ($100) deposit which is reasonable. In the email they didn't even give me an estimate for a half/full sleeve so I should've seen the first red flag. I get there and finally meet Jay and I speak to her about my idea and what I want but for the most part give her creative freedom. She leaves and comes back with an idea which I love, did the placement and we start. All is well, no talk about payment yet (I should've brought it up at this point but it was my first big piece and I wasn't sure how to go about it or wanted her to feel disrespected about my budget) An hour or so in I'm suffering (my fault for not preparing) and she notices and gives me brakes but somewhere in between is when she finally asks about money. She asks "what's your budget?" As if it matters now that the stencil and ink is on me now. I tell her naively "6-700" at this point I don't think much of it she just nods her head. Towards the end of the session I needed a minute, we're not even done. I'm walking up to the register and I ask "So how much will it be with how far we got in this session" she looked at me the then the receptionist and just goes "700" I look at her kind of shocked but I'm tired so I don't say anything. As time went by and I got more in the scene and inked more I realized she calculated when to ask me and what to ask me. I was wearing shorts and a t shirt so she knew I wasn't inked up and it was my first time. I felt taken advantage of for being new in the community and not having much knowledge. I have multiple tattoos now and four years later this is the worst experience I've ever had. I finally have the courage to speak up about it.

Disappointed in Follow-Up and Customer Care…read more I've been to this studio before and have spent a good amount here, so I expected better care. Yesterday, I went in to have my post shortened and was charged $35 just to switch the bar, which felt steep for a quick adjustment. I also purchased new jewelry for $120, bringing my total to $166 for that visit. Today, I called back because the post was still visibly poking out of my conch and felt uncomfortable. I asked if it could be shortened further, and was told I'd be charged again, due to a "shop fee and materials." That felt unreasonable, especially since it was clearly a follow-up to the service I had just paid for. I later spoke with Sarah, the piercer, who told me she had already given me the shortest post available (4.7mm). But then she said I'd need to come back in so she could inspect it to decide if it needed to be shortened further. That left me confused -- if 4.7mm is the shortest she has, what exactly would be the point of an inspection? At the end of the day, I left feeling disappointed and like I was being nickel-and-dimed. After spending $166, I expected a bit more care, flexibility, and follow-through. I won't be returning.
