I weird ass drink. First drink was cool but second drink the bottle was switched out and tasted like bottom shelf. Not what we ordered. Ugh.

First ordered Jameson and second drink was a new bottle but absolutely not Jameson. Yuck.

Enjoying a few games of darts with a few beers

Great little dive bar in DT Gilbert. When you are tired of $20 drinks, stop by for some pool, darts, and drinks in the correct price range.

Since it's a burger joint, Hubs ordered the Balboa and I ordered the Yeti. Wow! My burger was to die for. The rosemary goat cheese with bacon jam was the perfect combo of tangy and sweet! Hubs was eating his burger without any complaints which is what you want. Both of us went with the hand cut fries. Crispy and very good! We can't wait to return. This place is legit!

We asked if they could turn on the sound for the World Cup and they were more than willing to accommodate. I thought the Balboa burger was very good and I would have enjoyed the gas lamp burger better if the red pepper didn't keep slipping out. They don't charge you if you change fries for tots or even your burger patty for a chicken or turkey patty, which is really nice. Lowlights: I'm a big french fry eater and I didn't really like the fries here I found them too soft. The majority of their tables inside are barstools, which is a bit uncomfortable for me personally.

Being early birds, we had the place practically to ourselves, which made for a relaxed, no-rush lunch. I ordered the Jucy Lucy, a cheddar jack stuffed patty on a pretzel bun with sweet potato fries. When I cut into it with the steak knife they give you, molten cheese came pouring out of the center of the patty. That's exactly what you want from a Jucy Lucy and this one delivered. The pretzel bun had that perfect glossy chew, shredded lettuce and what tasted like a Thousand Island-style sauce rounded it out, and the whole thing was gloriously messy. Sweet potato fries were crispy and well-seasoned, not soggy, which is always the gamble with sweet potato fries. My husband went with a double patty burger on a brioche bun with tater tots. Melted cheese was dripping down the sides and those tots came out golden and crunchy. He had no complaints. Paired everything with a pink lemonade cocktail (refreshing, ice-cold, lemon wedge garnish) and waters. Perfect for an Arizona afternoon. Service was quick -- probably helped that we were the early birds -- and the atmosphere is laid-back sports bar vibes with plenty of seating options including comfortable booths, tables, and bar seating. Only reason it's not five stars: it's a little on the pricey side for burgers. We didn't know, so we happily shared the pizza amongst the children only to realize the mix up after they told us it came with sausage (that you could barely see on the pizza). Oh well. They didn't charge us for the extra topping. Reading other reviews, & yeah, the $17 "[sun devil] burger didn't even come with fries!" A bunch of us from my spin class decided to get together on a Sunday for brunch and here's what I munched: Grande Chicken TInga Nachos ($18 - Shredded chicken tinga, queso, roasted tomato salsa, black beans, pico de gallo, roasted jalapeño, cilantro lime crema): Okay, maybe I don't recommend the nachos. While topped with a good amount of cheese on top, once congealed, any chip on the bottom that you pull out is just going to be a naked chip. They do top these chips off with a generous amount of toppings. Brunch Burger ($19 - Angus beef patty, sunny side egg, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, sriracha aioli, hash brown patty, brioche bun, choice of fresh fruit or breakfast potatoes): I shared this burger and requested the kitchen to cut it for me which they did. From the moment we sat down, the vibe was right, relaxed ambience, comfortable setting, and the kind of place where you can actually unwind and enjoy your meal without being rushed. The environment just feels good. Our waitress was awesome, attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing without hovering. That kind of service makes all the difference and she nailed it. Now the food. Let me start with the real star of the show, the Cheesy Mashed Potato Balls. Golden, perfectly crispy panko crust on the outside, and when you bite in? Creamy mashed potato loaded with gooey melted cheese that literally stretches. Paired with that smooth cheese dipping sauce, these are dangerously addictive. I'd order a double next time without hesitation. The wings were incredible, and yes, I taste tested both the Garlic Parmesan AND the BBQ. The Garlic Parm had that rich, savory coating with a beautiful caramelized char. The BBQ brought a sweet, smoky glaze that had me licking my fingers. Both were meaty, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone tender. Honestly couldn't pick a favorite, you need both. I also grabbed a burger on a pretzel bun with bacon and sweet potato fries, stacked high, messy in the best way, and the pretzel bun held up like a champ. The Hub has that classic neighborhood grill vibe with quality that punches above its weight. Delicious food, generous portions, great service, and a relaxing spot to kick back. The food was pretty good here, however, I was severely annoyed with the waitress who wasn't really trying to service her customers but wanted to argue for most of the experience here so hence the two stars. Read on to see why I gave a lower rating than I normally would. Since this place is called Tap N Tikka, they had a nice selection of draft beers and I was impressed with their menu, which was on a digital board. The waitress tried to sell me on an Indian brewed beer (for example, Taj) and I just wasnt in the mood for one. Ive been to India several times and have had some of their beers in country. I asked for the Roses by the Stairs Czech Pale Ale and she didnt know if they had it. So I then said, if you dont have Roses by the Stairs, I'll take a Schoner Tag, which is a wheat style Hefeweizen. She then brought me the Schoner Tag, which was a very good beer. Next, we told her we weren't too hungry and mainly wanted to snack on some items and this is where she was being quite annoying. I mentioned the chaat on their menu and thought maybe these would be small bites as these are considered roadside snacks in India, but then she had to tell me oh no they are big portions, so I am like ok... I then saw kati rolls on the menu and thought we could get these and she says oh they are like big burritos, so then I said, well we could cut them in half and share it, but she seemed to think oh they are too big. OK, so after discussing the appetizer menu and couldnt seem to land on much, we now move onto entrees. She then suggests we share a dish, which we were both fine with. She initially suggested Reshmi chicken and said it had a creamy sauce, so we agreed. So, when we finally order the Reshmi chicken, I also asked for a garlic naan to soak up the sauce with and then waitress says oh its not too saucy. So, at this point, I am like whatever lady, can we just order here as you're not being helpful?? Then, she says oh popular dishes here are chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and also bhuna chicken. She said bhuna chicken was her favorite and better than the other two and had a sauce to it, so we finally agreed on this. When the chicken arrived, it came with rice and also we ordered the garlic naan too. The chicken was very good and flavorful, but I doubt it was bhuna chicken as it was a lot more saucy than how bhuna chicken is normally cooked. Bhuna chicken is normally more dry, so I dont know what this waitress is talking about. Garlic naan was so-so and I have had much better elsewhere and for $4.95 a piece, not worth it. I didnt eat much as I was headed to another meal, but did have a bite of chicken for taste and had one piece of naan. We had leftovers and she brought two take away containers. I asked for another container and she wanted to argue about this too. At this point, I just wanted to get out of here. I was like, lady, can you stop arguing with me? The food here was good, but the service was severely ruined by a waitress that didnt know what she was talking about and kept arguing. I thoroughly did not enjoy this experience. And on my receipt, the order was rung up as Butter Chicken and not Bhuna Chicken. With so much competition now (and so hard to earn a dollar and with skyrocketing inflation) and with plenty of other good Indian restaurants around, needles to say, Tap N Tikka, you lost my business and I wont be coming back, thanks to your rude and not knowledgeable waitress.
