Dr. Chan is a miracle worker! I saw him when I had severe low back pain at 36 weeks pregnant. I couldn't bend over or pick up my 2 year old without being in excruciating pain. He was able to get to the root issue and adjusted me in several different places despite me not being able to lie face down. This really works. As a lot of people I was skeptical about Chiropractic before but after having to live with my upper back, neck, and shoulder pain for months and it getting worse and worse I finally decided to go visit one. I decided on Dr. Chan because he was close by and accepts insurance in addition to having only 5 star reviews on Yelp. When I got to the office it was a nice, quiet environment and the receptionist warmly welcomed me and gave me the forms to fill out. I saw Dr. Chan working on a couple of other patients already. I waited a few minutes and got called in to see him. He asked me general questions like when the pain started and what may have caused it, I told him and he explained simply what may be the cause of my symptoms. He didn't use any big words and explained in a way that anyone could understand which I really appreciated. Turns out my upper back curved pretty severely to the right and my neck to the left. That would explain my shoulder blade pain and neck stiffness. So he got some electrotherapy pads and hot towels to relax my muscles before the adjustment which I thought was nice. He then came back and adjusted my back and neck in very specific areas and oh boy were those some big movements. After those adjustments he notified me that my hips were misaligned and it dawned on me that my hip flexor pain that I didn't even tell him about was related to my spine being out of place and I allowed him to adjust that as well. When I stood up after the adjustment I instantly felt a difference, for the first time in almost half a year I was standing up straight without a hunch and my hip pain was almost non-existent. I instantly scheduled my next visit and I walked outside with a big smile on my face and excited for my first pain free day in a very long time. I am now at home still in disbelief that I have no anxiety from my back and neck. The best chiropractor i've had! He uses a combination of manual manipulation, heat treatment, TENS, and liniments to loosen the muscles before proceeding with the adjustments. 5 years ago, I had a pain in my left heel area for months, along with a stiff left shoulder. Try Acupuncture for a couple of months, shoulder improved but nothing on the heel. Went to see Dr Chan as he was on the preferred list for my insurance coverage. No regrets as after one adjustment, foot pain never came back. He's still working on my stiff shoulder as it is more muscle related than joint alignment. Always feels great after my visits. Dr David Chan has helped me from day one. I have seen him since March of 2006 and have been a faithful patient ever since. I don't know what I'll do without him. He's the best. My monthly maintenance by Dr Chan has helped get rid of those terrible and scary muscle spasms I used to suffer from in the past. His genuine caring demeanor and treatment is something I really look forward to every time I visit his office. He hooks me up to these electrodes and puts a heat pad on my body while the table that stretches my back lulls me to sleep for a good 20 minutes. He then massages my back to loosen the muscles. I had neck surgery as a young child, and as a result, I've suffered from neck and shoulder pain and spinal misalignment my entire life. I come to Dr. Chan every few weeks for what I call monthly maintenance. He provides excellent care and is extremely patient. He starts with a TENS unit to loosen my stiff muscles, puts heating pads on my back, and after 10 minutes, starts the WHOLE body adjustment - neck, shoulders, lower back, wrists, fingers, ankles, and toes. When he's done, my headache is gone, my hips are even, and I am good for another couple of weeks. I was referred to Dr. Chan by a co-worker whom I cannot thank enough! I was experiencing pain in several areas: neck, back, right foot, right knee and shoulders. The pain in my right shoulder was so severe I couldn't lift my right arm to shoulder level! The pain in my neck was eased on the first visit. It took just two more visits for me to cut back on the Motrin. A couple more visits later, the pain in my back was barely noticable but my stubborn shoulders, knee and foot took a few weeks to work on. In the end, I am now pain free in those areas. Where do I start, I have ankle pain for years and I've never wanted to go to any doctors to get treat for many reasons. One being I didn't trust doctors or chiropractor, I just did not think they could help my ankle situation.
