Ok so this is the third nail salon I've tried in Morgan hill. I've gone to spring nails and classy nails before & they can't compete with ChaNails. I've been kind of let down by spring nails & classy nails just not the vibe, they're kind of messy lack attention to detail. I really enjoy a natural almond shape look and I haven't been able to get that look around here until finally a third place. I don't think I want to try my luck anywhere else lol. All 3 have relatively the same prices for every service. I needed a fill and wanted to try out ChaNails based on reviews and they're within walking distance for me. A fill is $40 and designs are about $5 a nail. I called ahead and was able to get a spot at 5pm and the woman finished my nails exactly an hour from then. I showed them a picture of what I had in mind and told me no problem and I ended up changing my mind and went with something more simple but still super cute. I am absolutely in love with my new set of nails. I came in hoping for the usually manicure with shellac nails but Jenny persuaded me into getting dipped powder & I'm completely sold! I was a bit hesitant at first since i have super fragile nails and didn't want to ruin it even more but Jenny assured me that it might actually make my nails stronger and last even longer (no pun intended). The process itself was super easy! Dip, dip and dap ;) Aside from the service, Jenny, Dave & Andy are hilarious and made my experience at the spa even better. Got a full set of acrylics done here on 7/23 ($65+tip) The shape was uneven & the black French tip was as well but I had a party to attend so I dealt with it. I went back a week & a half later to get a fill and change the color. This time the nail tech did a nice job of reshaping the nails and just overall making them look better, this cost $50+ tip but I was happy with how they looked. Today, I removed the acrylics to find that my ring finger nail looks to have become infected with nail fungus directly where the acrylic ended on my nailbed. Please make sure their tools are cleaned before they use them. read more

As a client of Dave's for over 5 years now, I can assure you he is the best of the best. When he left his best friend's nail salon a few years ago, I was devastated. No lie, I would have scheduled an appointment had he offered his services in his garage or even at the park. It's hard to find someone who takes great pride in the work they do and most importantly cares greatly about their client's satisfaction. He is patient, he is kind, he's a perfectionist, and is funny. He makes you feel comfortable and makes conversation with you, even if it's your first time with him. I've witnessed this many times and there definitely won't be any awkward silences when you're with him :) The designs he comes up with are always current with the trends and are very creative. Most importantly, his work is very clean. I hate it when I go to other salons and they are uneven or painted onto your skin or cuticles. Regardless if it eventually washes off or not, I would like to go to a place knowing I can go back to work immediately after or to a special event later in the evening without scramming like crazy to rub the imperfections off. His wife, Jenny... she's the sweetest person you'll ever meet. She has done my pedicure a few times and now will be doing my husband's! Whatever I have said about her husband in this review applies to her as well. This is why, in my honest opinion, they make a wonderful team and why people keep coming back. There are so many nail salons here in Morgan Hill and before you commit to any of them, take my advice in visiting Chanails first! With certain services, it's really hard to find someone you can rely on and trust. And when you find that someone, you stick with them forever. There's a reason why he has a lot of people who are loyal to him. It's because he doesn't care about making a sale. What he cares about is taking the time to build relationships and perfecting his techniques so that everyone who walks out the door will always be happy. Came in to ChaNails Spa to day for mother daughter bonding to get our nails did. Felt very welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. We did not have appointments however we were taken care of quickly. Andy did an great job at filling my nails and I was very pleased with the color and ombré gold glitter. Nancy was great at making my feet feel pampered and clean. Van also did a great job at giving my daughter a pedicure and manicure with awesome color. I found ChaNails on Yelp when I needed a salon that was more convenient to my new work location; I saw that this place was extremely close to my work and the photos on their page looked very beautifully done. I requested an appointment via Yelp and received a response within minutes asking what I'd like done and when I would like my appointment. I explained that I'd been wanting a fill, and a color change. Dave was the one I corresponded with and he went on to explain that it would be best to do a full set to ensure quality. I agreed and set my appointment for the following day. When I went in this place was very cute! It has 4 nail stations and a few pedicure stations. The staff is extremely friendly as well. I sat down and Dave started on my nails. I was very impressed with his attention to detail; and learned very quickly that, not only was he knowledgeable about what he was doing, but that he was also eager and willing to engage you as a customer and inform you about tips on general nail care. He answered any questions I had regarding services, and even went on to say that if there was a design or something I wanted to show him a pic and he could get it done for me. When he was done, I was completely obsessed with my nails. He went above and beyond my expectations. I got there a bit early and was told that they're a bit behind since someone came home early. I didn't mind waiting so I started the daunting task of choosing a color. To my surprise, they have a limited amount of colors for a gel mani. I ended up waiting for about half an hour til I was seated. Again, didn't mind waiting. The conversation was nice. She could sense that I didn't mind the convo, so we sat in silence and talked every once in awhile. This was a plus since I don't care too much for small talk. As soon as I got to my car I noticed how uneven the polish was, some nails aren't as shiny as others and some residue was left behind so I have bumps and lumps in some nails. At first glance, the shop looks very nice now that they finally moved to a better location and it seems like a good nail salon, but please be aware. Their customer service is awful and they are trying to pretend to be a high end salon with qualified technicians who can do designs and qualified manicures, but in reality, they're just another random nail salon with workers that have no clue what they're doing. I asked for a design but I wish she told me she could not do it, but I was told she could do it and it looked absolutely terrible after sitting in the chair for two hours and 15 minutes. I could not bear to tell her, I hated the design and I needed her to wipe it off and redo all of my nails. The technician asked me if I liked them and I should've said no but after sitting for 2 1/2 hours, I was exhausted and frustrated and just wanted to leave. The owner also asked me if I liked them, but he never even looked at them. I do realize I should've said in the moment I did not like them, but the fact that a person can do these nails and think they look good and send someone on their way to their honeymoon is mind-boggling. I did try to reach out to the owner and he literally had no empathy for me. Never apologized and told me it was my fault for not saying anything in the moment. I understand I should've said I never liked him but he did not acknowledge that these nails look awful and for the owner to not even feel and apologize speaks volumes.
