On May 24th 2022 I took my car to Chander Auto Repair to run a diagnostic that the service provider to unlock my car requested . Chander run the diagnostic and changed the battery. I paid for the service but he didn't provide the diagnostic report. He asked me to comeback the next day to get the report. Over the next several days Chandler kept dismissing me when I requested my report using various excuses. He eventually told me he will send it but he didn't. After several unsuccessful attempts I called my bank to complain. Chandler provided the bank with the report on September 15 2022 to get the money the bank had withdrawn from him back. Today, October 19th I went to Chander to request the report and he lied that he sent it to my phone. We checked my messages together and he realized that he didn't text it nor emailed it. He then proceeded to accused me of wanting to scam the insurance company with the report because in his opinion the lights that came up on the dashboard had nothing to do with the wires and fuses that were touched to unlock my trunk. I told him that he is untitled to his opinion but to not make unfounded and insulting accusation. I am field grade US military officer with a long record of outstanding service and integrity. I took offense to his unprofessional and extremely disrespectful attitude. I will never conduct business with such a disrespectful and unprofessional individual. Drove my VW up this morning for NY State inspection. Derrick greeted me and said to bring the car right in. He is a friendly guy and we chatted a bit. He had the inspection done right then and there. The inspection revealed that I needed a new brake light bulb and he had a mechanic start working on it right away. It was all very smooth and easy. He didn't even charge me for the light bulb. If I ever need work done on the car, I'm bringing it here. Note on Driving there: if directions call for you to drive north on 135th street then turn left (west) on 3rd ave, make sure you make that left turn very wide and go to the far outside right lane (on the other side of a median). If not , after 1 short block you will be on the 3rd Ave bridge heading into Manhattan . read more

I took my 2009 Jeep Wrangler to Chander to have my brakes checked/replaced. They did great, fast work, and did not over charge. The last time I had work done on my brakes I (stupidly) went to the dealer and spent hundreds more. About a week after getting my car back I noticed that the 4 wheel drive wasn't working. I wasn't sure if this was related to the work done on my brakes or just a coincidence because I hadn't needed the 4 wheel drive since.
