It has a classic retro/neon ice cream shop interior with booths and bar seating. I sampled a couple flavors (4 C's and black raspberry) before setting on the latter since it wasn't as sweet. The kid's scoop was 3.75 before tax, which is not bad for how much ice cream costs at most places nowadays. The black raspberry ice cream wasn't as creamy (a bit like a sorbet almost) as I hoped, but still a nice sweet treat. My friends enjoyed their Moose Tracks and 4 C's flavors, which were much creamier. Overall, glad we stopped by for ice cream. They have at least 20 different flavors available here.

I work at an ice cream shop myself and although it might be annoying to have someone come 20 minutes before closing I never let my smile and service fade. Getting ice cream should always be the best point of each customers day and the customer should not be leaving feeling like you were annoying the workers just by doing what the shop was made for. Love this place and the customer service is usually always great but tonight it was way off. You can tell these aren't weekend workers because no way a Monday shift got you that annoyed.

Price is very high for just ice cream. Kilwins is a bit cheaper and chaos is definitely a better bang for your buck. Wasn't that impressed with the flavor. They had some interesting flavors and we were able to try some samples. I opted for a scoop of apple pie and a scoop of sea salt caramel. Unlike other ice cream, where the caramel is hard, this ice cream had gooey caramel. The apple pie had pieces of apple and crispy bits of crust in it. They were both delicious! I have definitely found my favorite ice cream place!

The drug store is in the front and offers everything a typical pharmacy would sell only more old-timey. I felt like I was on the set of "Now and Then" or some other nostalgia era themed movie. Keep going and you'll hit the restaurant portion of the store which sells a variety of housemade soups, chili, sandwiches, lemonades, and more. The kiddos loved taking a seat at the long bar and ordering their milkshakes and the counter person was as nice as can be. My husband had a hankering for their homemade chili and thought it was delicious. It was a fond bonding moment for everyone!

You'd think with an entire chalkboard dedicated to pastrami sandwiches they would have a decent reuben. Not even close. The reuben was literally drenched in cheap plastic-bottled thousand island sauce (that salad dressing they sell at grocery stores). The meat was old. Sandwich was nothing short of disgusting. My mac salad just tasted like macaroni mixed in mayonnaise, although by comparison with the wet microwaved sandwich the mac salad was better. I also tried their egg cream soda, but as the photo shows, the waitress could not even be bothered to mix it: so it was chocolate syrup underneath a cup full of soda water, and thats it, which was hard to stir with a plastic straw. Service was bad too. Waitress took forever, never checked on us, spent a lot of time hanging out with the chef, and spoke negatively about customers right in front of them while talking to the chef. And the chef took an insane amount of time: over half an hour to make (including both my group and people ahead of us) less than ten simple, disgusting sandwiches. Worst meal I've had in years.

The baristas were nice and three of them gave me their input on which single origin I should choose for my pour-over. POUR-OVER - MKT Price +6.50 for Mohammed Aba Nura - Ethiopia (tasting notes: Strawberry, white chocolate, hazelnut) I wanted the craziest tasting option they had, and they recommended this one since it's pretty popular and well-liked among customers. However, one of the barista said he didn't really like it himself. I figured I should still try it. The sips I had while it was still warm was pretty juicy and sweet, but I really didn't like the notes once it cooled down (about 20 minutes later), which tasted sour and off-putting. I should have listened to that one barista and went with a different single origin option. Overall, good roaster -- just unfortunate that I tried something that wasn't for me. The baristas seem knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. I would love to come back next time and try another single origin offering.
