Brein bartender is awesome! He hooked it up on thanksgiving night. I was there for a co-workers party. He had rented the largest section of the restaurant which had a stage, dance floor and many tables. It's not a full bar but they had some whisky and vodka. Love open bar's I don't need a whole selection but I was happy with anything vodka. The only thing i've tried here was their chicken tikka masala with naan, hands down the best i've tried so far. I actually recommended this dish for our christmas party for work and it was a hit. Everyone loved it. My review goes to just that one dish. That means i'll be going back to try out more from their menu. This restaurant has a few sections that you can rent out for parties which I find really interesting and cool. Parking is plentiful.

The amount of times I called the place...

I am so disappointed.. I hope the owners read this review and take serious measures for their staff and provides them with proper customer service skills. This was our first time going out after covid had it and let me tell you what a big mistake it was to go to chandani. First of all I called Chandani today to see if I could make a reservation and every time I called a guy would pick up not saying anything. As a person who understands and speaks Urdu/Hindi I could hear him having a conversation with someone else about a doctor and how that doctors so good and how he will pass on the contact info.. I mean seriously ??? How much more unprofessional can you get? He was completely ignoring the fact that there's a customer on the other line waiting for him. Anyways, after he realizes he got so many phone calls he called me himself saying "You called Chandani" in a very careless and once again unprofessional tone. I Literally called this place 6 times with two of them being cancelled because I kept calling and they would not pick up. Furthermore, after speaking with him and clearly letting him know that we were coming for iftar (breaking our fast) I see our food packed in Togo boxes and take the Togo boxes to the tables. He starts telling me " There's no service you have to do everything yourself". Keep in mind we are the only customers who are dining in from 7:50pm till almost 8:30pm. I asked him if he had water and any dates considering this is a Muslim restaurant and are fully aware that this is the month of Ramadan. For those who don't know what Ramadan is, Muslims who practice Ramadan do not eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset. When you break your fast you must break it with water or dates. When I asked him if he had any of those two items he starts to yell at me saying "YOU HAVE TO PAY YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING " . When did I say I was not going to pay? At this point I knew it was such a big mistake to choose chandani to bring my guests and family to. My guest wanted to order some more items however, the attitude this individual placed scared and made our guests extremely uncomfortable. Oh let me not forget to mention when we would ask him for coke or more bread he would shake his head from side to side and say , " I TOLD YOU THERES NO SERVICE NO SERVICE"... I spent $128 on food that wasn't even properly cooked and on top of that got treated like total crap! I have been to this restaurant when the owner himself is there and he is an extremely nice guy. It seems like these workers need to be micromanaged and take advantage of management not being around. The restaurant really needs to upgrade themselves. They don't give paper menus, nor have a code where you can scan and view items through your phone, heck if you go onto their website they have a Ramadan Buffet which does not even exist. When I spoke with him about that over the phone he said it's from 1-2 years ago. Overall we left the restaurant still hungry and decided to go to a near by restaurant called Fremont Kabob House. Let me tell you the covid measure, service and food were a world of a difference compared to Chandani! Chandani need to raise the bar for themselves and set higher standards.

They also have an outdoor patio where we saw a group dining with one of their furry friends. For appetizers, we ordered the Kerala chicken fry - well seasoned and crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. For the entrees, we got a potlam goat biryani - a delicious biryani wrapped in a banana leaf served table side. We also got the Fish Pollichathu, a fish grilled with a tomato based topping that was wrapped in a banana leaf and served with a tapioca mash and rice. All the dishes were delicious. The portions are generous and we ended up with leftovers to take back home. We also received a complimentary gulab jamun creme brulee since I was part of their mailing list and a pistachio tiramisu to celebrate our special occasion. A truly wonderful experience that made our evening special. We will look forward to returning to sample more of their offerings.

There was a great variety, and it was a nice way to experience the flavors and spirit of Onam. Service was quick , and despite not having a reservation, they were able to accommodate us. The ambiance is very pleasant too. That said, we enjoyed our meal but my folks found most of the dishes to be spicy which may not suit everyone--especially young kids. We asked for yogurt which the restaurant provided without hesitation. My toddler found almost everything too spicy, but happily enjoyed the sweets, banana chips, payasam, which was definitely a highlight! At around $60 per person, it is on the pricier side for a vegetarian meal, but for a special treat and to celebrate Onam, it may be worth experiencing. Overall, a festive and generous spread, though we would have preferred a little more balance in the spice level.

I would say it's in a weird area since it's sandwiched between many condos/townhomes that are made by Toll Brothers and Lennar and very close to the Tesla Car Plant. Unless you are specifically coming here to eat, I do not think you would normally cross this place. [[ Service ]] Since it's currently not very busy (very surprised since the food is good), the owner and the chef come around often to make sure everything is alright and tasting delicious. They were both very friendly and very easy to talk to. Service was very good! [[ Food ]] I'm always on the lookout for good deals and already came back twice for their lunch menu which starts at $14.99 and comes with Dal, Rice, & Plain Naan. I think its spectacular value and quite filling as well. Menu items I have already tried: 1.) Chicken Tikka Masala 2.) Methi Malai Chikcien 3.) Chicken Korma (they just updated their menu so this is no longer on there) 4.) Mango Lassi Their Naan is quite good and I recommend upgrading to the Garlic Naan which made it even better! [[ Conclusion ]] I really hope they stick around longer because I'm happy i found a new place to eat that is not too far away for me. They also have a second location in Newark so if you live there, feel free to try it!

The Saudi Champagne is a curious mocktail, and other restaurants make better Irani chai. The service was adequate. It took about 25 minutes for our full order to be brought out, which felt a tad slow given the relative quiet. The building looks nicely-decorated, but it could use a clean-up, including the restrooms. I'm overall happy with my experience and plan to try some of the other recommended dishes.

It's been sitting there for a while, so the wifey and I finally decided to drive down to Milpitas and give this Thali place a try. I'm glad we did because their Thali is probably one of the best we've had, if not the best. FYI Thali is LUNCH only. Here is my take. Food (4.5 stars) +The Combo Thali for around $18 is the way to go. Don't overthink it and don't order anything else. You get a little bit of everything, which is exactly why we like Thali. If there's something you don't like, just give it to your partner. My wife doesn't like lamb, so I ended up with double lamb. Bonus for me! + Lamb curry was probably my favorite. Tender meat with a flavorful curry and it went perfectly with the rice. Since my wife donated hers to me, I had plenty! + Fried fish is also very good. You don't get a huge piece, but with so many other things on the plate, it's enough. That's the beauty of Thali--you get a few bites of everything instead of committing to one giant dish. + Chicken curry was also good. Nothing on the plate really needs to be eaten by itself because everything complements each other. You get savory, spicy, sour and even a little sweet throughout the meal. + There are also the usual Thali sides like dal, sumbar, yogurt, dessert and another sour/soupy dish. Rice sits right in the middle and you basically mix and match your way through the entire plate. + I also really like the papadum. It's that thin crispy Indian cracker that gives you a nice crunchy break between all the curries and softer foods. ~ PRO TIP: The only thing to consider is whether you prefer a Thali or an Indian buffet. At a buffet, you can essentially get many of these same types of dishes and eat as much as you want. With a Thali, you're getting smaller portions of everything. Personally, I like the variety and having everything served together, especially when the combo is only around $18. Service/Ambiance (4.5 stars) + We came during lunch and there was only one other customer while we were there, so service was good and the food came out rather quickly. + The restaurant has some really nice paintings along the walls. Some of the scenery almost looked Mediterranean to me, although I'm assuming they're depicting places somewhere in India. Either way, they add some character to the restaurant. + It's a comfortable, casual place to sit down and enjoy a Thali without much fuss. GET THE COMBO! You get fish, lamb, chicken, rice, dal, sides, dessert and all the little extras that make eating Thali fun. Between the two of us, if one person doesn't like something, the other person probably will. In my case, that strategy resulted in double lamb, so I definitely wasn't complaining. Wifey gives Vande Bharat 4.5 stars and I'm right there with her. For the price, variety and flavors, this is easily one of our favorite Thali meals we've had. Yelp got this recommendation right!
