The Chinese part of the menu is very good and so I've stayed on that side of the menu for most of my visits. I have a local customer so I eat here every 3-4 months as it's right across the road from the Holiday Inn Express. I'm more of a sushi fan but the sushi is very very expensive, at least for a frugal spender like me. There isn't another sushi option in town so as mentioned I just stay with the Chinese food. Portions are big and decor is nice, so as long as the price doesn't scare you off you will love the food. read more

Been here a few more times. The waiter is awsome. Iv noticed a trend. If you see an old lady making the sushi dont order it. Its always bad when she makes it. My last order tasted like fish soap.. like she did the dishes and made the sushi with out washing her hands. Iv only had sushi here that was good once. Staff at the front desk was extremely rude & downright disrespectful. 2 younger staff members were whispering loudly, making rude snide remarks about my family member and their clothing/appearance. Hubs and I dined here Easter Sunday and really enjoyed our meal. We were not as lucky at the downtown location however. We started with the PuPu Platter. It was good eating but not the best I've ever had. We ordered wonton egg drop soup, beef fried rice with fresh bean sprouts, sesame chicken and tempura shrimp. Portions were good and the food was hot and cooked to perfection. The fried rice was the best I've had in this area so far and I would make a meal on the rice and shrimp. The soup was very very good but the wontons not so much. The were undercooked and very small. Our server was friendly and attentive. Being that it was Easter Sunday the place was practically empty. No one greeted us at the door, we stood about 10 minutes without so much of hello, they were not busy. Finally I asked the man at the desk, who was visiting with a "customer", if we could be seated. He rudely said, When he was finished talking. The "customer" left immediately and he seated us, without another word. The waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was good. We were on a trip and stopped for lunch. Probably will not return. If it wasn't for the rude greeter man, I would give it 5 stars, but I spend my money so expect to be treated with respect. read more

I never thought that I will find some sushi in Wisconsin, I looked through yelp for some seafood in that town and I kind of did not want to try all the other places. So, instead I choose this one, I don't know why, but I chose to go here, and I am happy that I went there. The waiter was incredible, very funny,polite, and the most important he was serving us very fast. The food was incredible. I did not order much, but what I ordered was enough for me. The prices are very fair, and the food worth it. Also it's very clean inside and the atmosphere inside was incredible, I don't even know how to explain it. So, the whole experience in this restaurant was great. I wish I could come here every week, but I was just traveling by this town, but I think I will come back here again from my NYC. read more

What can I say? This restaurant is superior to any others in the area for Chinese. The staff is prompt and courteous, the selection is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. They also have a great delivery system that's pretty fast. The atmosphere is also very nice and you're able to enjoy your meal & company peacefully. GREAT Sushi selection as well!!! I highly recommend the Lily Roll. They also have a hibachi grill that is fantastic ~ I would call ahead on that though so you know it's open and available to you but that's not a big deal at all. read more

When our food arrived, we were quick to point out it had been made incorrectly. Our server was equally quick to blame the cook ("I told them not to make it that way.") He said he would have it re-made. When the new plate arrived it was evident that someone had simply picked out the offending ingredient. What remained was undercooked and, frankly, overpriced. The building and atmosphere were wonderful, but the poor staffing drags them down. This is the first time I've ever eaten in a Chinese restaurant where I have cleared my plate and still left hungry. Great takeout experience! Loved the crab rangoons way more than I thought I would because of the great textures of crisp outsides and hot creamy insides. Kung Pao chicken had very excellent quality chicken, but not enough spice for me. I never want too much heat, but this didn't have the complex flavors I crave from this dish. Great fresh crisp and snap to veggies also, but needed more green pepper and water chestnuts. I think I may be addicted to water chestnuts? Overall, delicious fresh quality meal that satisfied. Lovely place with a nice atmosphere and beautifully-kept saltwater tanks. The decor is a little confused as it's Asian Fusion; purists may find this disconcerting in a higher-scale restaurant. Our sushi and sashimi was prepared by a friendly older female in gloves. Temperature-wise it was little bit warmer than what I'm used to, however 24 hours later and there has been no sign of discomfort or illness. Our waitress was friendly and the service was timely. Visiting for the weekend to do some late season skiing at Granite Peak and I wanted to eat something decent for dinner. No fast food. So, I decided to order from Chang's Garden for take out. I ordered their California rolls; 2 orders (6 pieces each roll). The verdict: I was shockingly surprised how good it was! I had my doubts ordering Japanese rolls in the middle of Wisconsin. ;) But, I must say these were one of the best rolls I've eaten, anywhere, including from Chicago. The rice had a enough sweet taste and the crab filling was deliciously creamy. If you're in the Wausau area, stop by Chang Garden. You should be able to find something on their menu that's way better than ordering from Dominos or Wendys. ;) I don't like to give anything better than 4 stars on Yelp but when it's a good surprise like tonight, I'm glad to post it! read more

When we got there they were surprised that we were going to be dinning in, as we had just returned from walking up Rib Mountain. The blonde server who had her hair pulled back said " Oh, you guys are dinning here?" It was very awkward for us as we were standing by the "please wait to be seated" sign. Right when you walked into the restaurant there was a big whiteboard that said HIBACHI SHRIMP 9.99, so naturally I ordered that. I said "I'll take the Hibachi Shrimp". The bill comes and it says Hibachi Shrimp 16.99. We go up to pay and I said the sign says Hibachi Shrimp 9.99 and even pointed to it. The host said he was going to talk to the server and she said that she actually gave us the dinner portion. I stated well how am I suppose to know what portion is which as I hadn't been there. Regardless they made me pay 16.99 for average tasting shrimp that I could have made myself. If I knew it was going to be that price I would have just ordered sushi. Service throughout the meal was good but they should really specify the advertised deal and honor the customers request. I know the customer isn't always right as this isn't McDonald's but to advertise the special on a huge easel and not clarify to the customer is unfair. read more

My girlfriend has gotten the chicken and broccoli many times and it has always been great, but this time there was something seriously not right with the chicken. She didn't want to make a fuss or have them remake it because it was almost closing time, so we, in the most polite way possible, expressed to the waitress (whose name was Courtney) that something didn't seem right with the chicken. Her response: "Well I'll have to have Micheal (we presume the manager on duty) come look at it because there is nothing I can do about it." She came back and curtly told us: "We had the cook make up a piece of the chicken and there is nothing wrong with it, it was made just fine, and I still wish you would have just told me sooner." She was then overtly cold towards us the rest of the time we were in the restaurant. Although they did end up taking the chicken off the bill, I was absolutely stunned by comments made by our waitress, Courtney, especially since we had tried to be overly understanding of the situation and didn't asked to have it remade because we didn't want to put them out when since it was getting late. read more

Chose Chang Garden among all the other choices in the area, and glad we did. Crab Rangoon, fresh and hot. BBQ Ribs, moist and tender. Bacon wrapped Shrimp delicious with the right amount of crisp to the bacon. We had the Broccoli and Beef and the Crispy Duck for dinner. Crispy Duck was a great sized portion of tender, juicy duck with a crispy skin, needing no additional flavoring. The Broccoli and Beef used good beef, not the cheap mealy stuff so often used. All this for an excellent price. We will return next time we are in the area. read more

This place is great. They have a very large menu as well as a sushi menu. At my last visit I had two delicious sushi rolls. They also have hibachi. The atmosphere is a lot of fun and the restaurant is huge! They have great blended drinks, some of which come in festive parrot shaped glasses! The portions are huge and have always resulted in me taking about half home! I loved the crab rangoon which comes with some sweet and sour and a wasabi mustard sauce. I would not recommend the crab rangoons. The sushi was good, based on other reviews I must of had one of the good chefs make it. Would try again. We came in on 8/13/18 at 2:45pm. This was our first time visiting the Weston location. I usually go to the one in Wausau, but because it was closed we headed over to the other one. Let me start out with the sushi was amazing. The crab ragoons were delicious and I loved the hot mustard served with it. That's were the positives end. When entering the restaurant the host was on her cell phone taking a personal phone call. The miso soup was bland and tasted watered down. We paid our bill and left a 20% tip for the waitress. My partner went out to the car and I had to use the restroom. When leaving I over heard the waitress complaining to the host about the amount I left her. "I might as well taking in to the kitchen because it didn't even pay for the plates they used." I was really offended by her remark. She said it as I was walking out the door passing the host stand were the two were discussing the tip. I really enjoyed your food but because of the staff I probably will never come back to this location and will continue to go to the one in Wausau. read more

The hibachi tables were booked for the evening so we sat at a regular table. Our waitress professed to be new, and was not very well versed on the menu, so we had to look up a few ingredients on our phones. Service was friendly but a little slow and disjointed. Best Chinese place in town! Everything I've had I have loved. Particularly I love their general tsos, honey-garlic chicken, sweet & sour, fried rices, all their sushi, egg drop soup. crab rangoon, spring rolls, & more. They might be a little more expensive but still affordable and it's super delicious so you can't go wrong. read more
