I desperately needed my nails done and I had walked into a few nail shops I had used in the past but they were all booked. So I called Chang nails and she was available for a 12 o'clock. She seemed really nice and I figured I'd give her a chance. I was pleasantly surprised she did a nice job. The salon itself is nothing to rave about but that's not what matters ultimately and it looked pretty clean. She was very kind, gentle And professional. I will be coming back. I just went in for a gel pedicure- quality of the pedicure was great! She really went for a foot and leg massage, much needed after months without one. Do not expect anything super fancy that most nail salons have- massage chairs, deluxe pedicures or a TV. It is a very hole in the wall place, and minimal upgrades for the 30 years they have been there. The two ladies there were super nice, cheerful and polite. This will be my new place to get a pedicure on my lunch break! read more

How are they still even in business? I did a walk in and I was told they had time for me and then this lady forgot she had a client and then in the middle of doing my nails she stops doing my nails and tells me she'll be with me after and I had to wait .. like wtf. 2 stars for the owner, super welcoming, very nice! But this is my first and last time trying them out. I went in to get a fill - first of all, they ended up cutting my nails way too short, I get my nails long and asked for it long. Second, took forever to file down when it normally doesn't take that long. When it came to painting my nails, only 1 layer of nail polish was put...They cut me and I bled, horrible paint job, and for $35?! A bit pricey for the job done. Horrible fill job, way overpriced, need to get better before you charge that amount. It was more like a $15 fill job. read more

Went in for a pedicure and manicure. Pedicure looks horrible the same supplies she used on my feet she used on my mother she did not wash them or clean them... very unsanitary. Charged me $110 for both mani and pedi. Waaay to expensive for a horrible job. Definitely will never return! read more

I do not recommend this w nail place I went in last week to get a full set of nails and the price I paid for them ($45) was not worth it at all ! don't get me wrong the lady was really sweet but the nail quality was not so good I haven't had my nails on for not even a week and my nails already popped off and I had to go somewhere else to practically get a whole new set I'm very disappointed I called to get a refund but I figured that couldn't happen and all she said that she could fix them but I didn't want her to touch my nails since I already got them fixed somewhere else read more

I stopped in for a quick manicure prior to an event. Midway through i noticed the salon does not observe standard sterilization precautions with their instruments or their stations. The employees were very polite, but i saw them use the same instruments on different clients without sterilizing them (they simply wiped off the pushers and cuticle trimmers with a little cotton between clients). I was well into the manicure when i observed this and feel fortunate that i didn't have any cuticles worth cutting so as to avoid the danger. It felt very awkward and the woman doing my manicure didn't speak English very well so while i should have stopped the service i continued. they also used an acrylic base coat on a natural manicure. The salon is also very shabby and dirty. At $15 for a manicure it was also overpriced. I am shocked the state board hasn't intervened. read more

I have been going to Chang's Nails since almost since they opened on South Main. Zhou Chang and all of her sisters are courteous, respectful, provide excellent customer service, and are enjoyable and amazing women to talk to. They do excellent work, and make sure that before a customer leaves they are satisfied with the work that was done. I only recently saw the documentary done by some students at UCLA, and it only gave me more respect for Chang and her family, and the excellent work that they do. I have been going to Chang's Nail for nearly 10 years now, they have amazing customer service at a very cheap price. Their employees are very helpful and care to my many needs. I don't know what Brett was talking about, but from the many times I have been there, their equipment have always been clean. They have also been in business for more that 20 years so they speak English very well. I think that Brett was mistakenly confused with another nail sailon because Chang's Nails is the best in town. read more
