Changes is fantastic. My sister, the bride, my Mom, the mother of the groom and I had our hair and makeup done for the big day. The bridal department at Changes is superb. Bridget is the head of the department and is the most accommodating, organized, and prompt lady I have had the pleasure to work with. The stylist that did the bride's hair was April. April was open and communicative with my sister, while they were creating a look for my sister's wedding day. And not only is she sweet and calming, April does magnificent hair. The trial, which is the most nerve racking to me, was such a success because of April's ability to listen to what the bride wants. And it didn't hurt that Bridget kept checking on our progress and offering us cappuccinos. :) On the big day, the salon had opened early just for us, so that we would have plenty of time for our daytime wedding. I can't thank Bridget enough for that, it really did ease our "timeline anxiety". Once again, April enhanced my sister's gorgeousness...but I also have to give April the biggest props. I had lost my sister's wedding headband amongst the wedding favors and decorations and there was no time to get a new headband. So April, having purchased the same one for her own wedding, drove to her house and lent my sister her headband. Now,my family and I didn't know April before the wedding, I can't imagine one bride doing that for another bride that isn't family or friends, but April did. Thank you April for everything, you are wonderful. The other stylists and make up artists were top notch and my Mom, the groom's Mom and myself came out of the salon looking polished and lovely for the big day. The wedding was a smash and not a lash or curl fell down with all our dancing. I've been going to Changes off and on for years now and i received the first hair cut that i didn't like on Wednesday. Thursday I called and told the receptionist I didn't like my hair and that I didn't think I fully communicated with Tanya, a level four stylist, what I really wanted. The receptionist said no problem come back and Tanya will fix it. I went back Saturday and within 10 minutes I had probably the best haircut I've ever had. Five minutes after leaving the salon i received three compliments on my hair. I would definitely recommend the stylist and the salon. read more

Spent $115 for a terrible dye job that lasted about 3 weeks. Overall, a beautiful salon but very unhappy with my experience.

I went for mothers day and it was really nice the only thing I would change for the next time is not to have the therapist talk to me the entire time, I really didn't want to be rude and not answer her questions but please when you pay $75 for a massage you don't want to have a conversation. My friend who was in another room stated that her therapist only talked to her when she needed her to move or turn over. read more

I took my mother to have her first haircut in almost a year after a long illness that makes my mom more sensitive to noise. Daniel was wonderful with his private, quiet room and he did his best to treat my mom carefully and with great patience and skill. He provided an excellent hairstyle that would be low maintenance but still very classy. Thank you Daniel for making it a stress free experience for her! read more

I was very disappointed in my experience at Changes last night. I scheduled a much needed massage for the end of the week to help with the stress and tension built up over the week. When the massage began I laid there thinking, "Does this girl know how to do anything other than lightly run circles around my back?" Eventually I told her to apply the hardest pressure she could as I needed a DeepTissue Massage, emphasis on the word Deep! But no, more light rubbing in circles. Every now and then there was a little pressure applied but only for a second. It was the worst massage I have ever had. I was so looking forward to it and then so disappointed! The best stylists are at Changes! I have crazy curly hair and Nicole is the best stylist I have ever met. She has always made me feel comfortable and really listens to what I'm asking for and lets me know her opinions as well (without jumping to the most expensive process like most salons). Service is great! I've gotten a few manicures here without being too impressed but the hair salon more than makes up for it :) I recommend this place to everyone! read more

I was recommended to Changes since I just returned to the area after being gone for 10 years. I waited over a month to get an appointment. I was so excited to have my appointment I even took time off work, the day came and they called and canceled due to the stylist being sick. That part did not bother me of course you have no control over that , however I was told by the young lady that called me they were going to do whatever they could to reschedule me as soon as possible, I was told the stylist was going to come in on his days off to make up his missed appointments. I was asked which would work best for me Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday? I responded Sunday, needless to say three days later came and I still had not hear from anyone. I called back Friday afternoon to check the status, and at that point was told well he is only going to make up his appointments on Tuesday, so i said OK does that mean I am on that schedule, she then put me on hold came back and said we can take you in the afternoon, I told her the soonest I could get there is six, due to work and having to wait for my husband to get home to watch the kids. She said that should not be a problem but asked me to wait a moment again she put me on hold cam back and said " well we can not do that either, since you are new we like to allow two and half hours, since we close at 8 that means we might not get you out of here till 8:30. That means because there is a slight chance they might have to work a 30 minutes past there schedule time they will turn down business, especially where I was easily going to spend 200 plus. It really surprised me that they were not willing to work with the client, they did not even have common courtesy to call me back to reschedule as they said they would, however when you booked they were really quick to take a card number to book the appointment in case you canceled. Seems a little one way and there are plenty other talented stylist and salons in the Ghent area that will appreciate your business. read more

What a horrible experience I had there last Thursday! As soon as I got there, my hairstylist was late and when she did see me, she was abrasive with her greeting. She looked and acted unprofessional, stating she had been up for awhile or something to that effect, and leaving me in her chair while she settled things with her car. I would have let all of that go if my hair had been what I expected......IT WAS HORRIBLE! She did a bad job and the next day, I went to Bombshells to get it fixed with color correcting. Leah at Bombshells was amazing and did a wonderful job.......too bad I can not say the same for Rachel at Changes. I will not be giving them my business again! Just terrible! read more

Hands down the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. I think I would actually prefer the half head bangs my mother made me have growing up (in the 80's). I have curly hair and know what works for me, long with a V shape in the back to keep weight so it doesn't spring up too much. I explained this to the stylist (Daniel). He cut, it looked nothing like what I asked for...he tried again, this resulted in the loss of at least 4 inches of hair, with essentially a minor u shape/almost straight across which for curly hair results in a frizzy triangle. He asked how that was, instead of making a scene by yelling or what I felt like doing and did once I got out of the shop was CRY! I spent 8 months growing out my hair!!! Now I am back to square one...maybe even less because it's so short. :( That is the 3rd time I've been to changes and certainly the LAST. I've never been super satisfied with their somewhat snotty service. read more
