Applebee's is a classic chain restaurant. I used to visit Applebee's all the time in high school and it was always a fave since the deals are always good. I haven't been back to one in yearssss now but I decided to stop by with some friends during a late night and Applebee's is one of the few chains that still open fairly late. There weren't many people inside but there's plenty of tables anyway so there probably wouldn't be a wait regardless. The staff was very friendly with us, top notch service - even at such a late hour on a Friday night. We had a hard time deciding what to order cause there were so many deals that lets you mix and match between options. When we thought we finally figured it out, we found out that they have a late night happy hour where all the appetizers are half off AND drinks were BOGO. So we had to rethink our strategy on what to order and decided on a bunch of appetizers and a few of the mix & math entrees. The food was served pretty quick and actually came out all at once which was great for our large group of 8. The appetizers were pretty good for a chain restaurant (boneless wings, artichoke and spinach dip, loaded waffle fries, etc.). The burger was a classic with all the fix-ins and even had bacon. The 2 for $20/$25 entrees were also just as I remembered it back in the day. Honestly, no complaints. Ordered mozzarella sticks, fries, rice, and a burger. The mozzarella sticks were soggy and flavorless, the rice was greasy but somehow dry, and the fries looked tired before they even hit the table. The burger was the only thing that tasted right -- juicy and cooked well -- but it couldn't save the rest of the meal. And they did not want to give me refund. This location is a much nicer location than the one I'm used to going to. We got seated right away on a Tuesday evening. Service was weird. The food came out fast. My drink didn't even come out before the entrees. I ordered one of the new drinks on the menu but they ran out of an ingredient but nobody had any urgency to say anything. Tried Applebees yesterday evening for the first time as we had a gift card. For fast food it was ok, we had the 2 for $25 which really is a good deal in today's market. Food is just ok but when you are paying $25 for 2 dinners what can we say. Service was just ok, it seems like the management needs lots of work. Our waitress was running and really didn't have the time to stop back and ask if everything was ok or did we need anything else. Maybe management needs to step up and help instead of looking like they want to be home instead of working. They are updating the restaurant and I must say it's looks pretty nice, on going. Just had a horrible experience. Ants on the table and bench where my son and I were seated. Of course this left me "itchy" and paranoid that I had ants walking all over me. When the manager arrived after being alerted of the issue, I asked that my son and I be moved. She acknowledged an ant issue in that area. She obliged and gave me two 10$ off cards and a "sorry for your inconvenience" response. We came to Applebees in a group. When it was time to pay my fiance and I decided to get a separate check and pay for our own and tip in cash with the table. We had a gift card for 25 dollars. Our balance was 3.88 that we owed. We paid and all was well. Today I looked at my bank statement and I was charged on my card the full 28.88 (when we used a gift card for 25 and should only have 3.88 on my card) and a pending 25 dollar charge. We go back to Applebees and talk to the manager, turns out the server wrote in a 25 dollar tip after I had already drawn a line through it because we tipped with the table. Food is so good. Chicken tenders from here will forever be my favorite. Also the fries are so good. Half off apps are the BEST! Anything is good off the menu. Mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, spinach and artichoke dip are my top 3 appetizers. Service was good but can improve on how many workers there are. They needed a few more. It was quiet inside. Went to Applebees last evening for their $15.99 all you can eat special. Had not been to an Applebees in a long time and thought we would give it a shot. The food was awful small plate of 5-6 shrimp with a few fries and my better half got a plate of 2 little chicken tenders and a couple of fries. Wait staff didnt even bring the cole slaw until asked twice. Second round of food i tried the ribletts which should be call bone lets, all little pieces of bone. My better half tried the shrimp and got 4 shrimp and a few fries. With 2 soft drinks and a tip this crap was just under $50. What a rip off. The food on their commerical looks great but in person cold crap. Last time i waste my money in this restaurant. read more

Food is fine here, and the place was not too dirty for an old Applebee's, but I spent maybe 10 minutes eating while absolutely no one walked by to check how our table was. read more

The Applebee chain is not one of my favorite spots to eat. But this one is a lot better than some of the rest. The waitress Gabby was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. I got BBQ Brisket Taco's that were very flavorful and tender and there French Fries were on the money crunchy on the outside and moist inside. Wifey got the burger special and she said it was very delicious. The place is clean and plenty of TV's to watch all the sports games. It is also very convenient with the movie theater close by. read more

Again, not a huge fan of this chain restaurant. I only go when I'm craving real junk food. I'm not a huge fan of most of this menu. The reason why I'm updating this rating to give it 5 star is that the service is hands down the best I have ever received at a chain restaurant. We arrived and were seated almost immediately on a busy Friday night. Our server, George, was sooooo nice. He looked very busy but you could tell he was legit on top of everything. Both my husband and I ordered the twofer apps. This allows you to create your own sampler but you receive smaller portions that you would if you were to order the app itself. My husband ordered tacos but there was a misunderstanding and George put it in as taco queso dip. When our order came out we thought it wasn't our order and there was a mistake. We blamed ourselves for not being more specific when saying "taco" and we were going to keep the order as is. George came back and profusely apologized, already putting an order of the chicken taco wontons which came almost immediately. When the bill came, we saw that he also comped the order of wonton tacos as well. We were floored as to how that was handled. OK, got sucked in by the "loaded fajitas" that's pounded on TV. I expected to be disappointed... but honestly? They were pretty decent. Started with a taco meat/cheese dip with tortilla chips. Tasty. Moved on to the reason we came, with the Mrs. choosing shrimp, and I ordering the chicken fajitas. It was pretty good. Award winning? Naaaa... but better than I expected. We washed it down with 3 tall Kona beers each. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. If there's a negative, it's the same as last time. The bill for 2 broke $100. If I'm gonna spend that, there's just more interesting places with higher quality food to visit. If I was near here, I'd drop in again... just not really a "destination." read more

The quality of this Applebee's has really taken a hit in the past few years. Went on Sunday evening with a friend and put my name down for the wait. The employee who was seating us (young white girl with dark hair) completely mispronounced my name and then exclaimed, "I don't know how to pronounce it!" I don't think "Leslie" is a difficult name to say, but regardless, to be completely unapologetic about not knowing how to pronounce a guest's name is pretty rude. Ordered the honey pepper chicken tenders with four cheese mac and cheese. The chicken tenders barely had any honey pepper sauce on them, and the Mac and cheese was completely tasteless. I was excited to pay using the QR code on the receipt, but after about five minutes of trying to get it to work, our waiter told us it was inactive. Seriously? Why waste ink printing a broken QR code? Very disappointed. Will not be back. read more

Ever go somewhere & know from the beginning the whole experience was going to be... not good? Yeah that was this place last Saturday. It all started with the hostess. A young girl who seemed to have an attitude. Upon requesting a booth, we were told there are no booths available, how everyone had just sat, so one wouldn't be available for a while. We took a table (which IMO, didn't look like it was entirely clean) & in clear view, there was a large corner booth (that was left dirty the entire time we were there) & 2 booths behind me that the hostess cleaned & the next people she sat (maybe 5 minutes after she sat us), she took them to 1 of those booths she cleaned... but for us, no booths would be available for a while? Uhh ok. Our server did not come over right away. A table sat after us with 5 people had a server there right away (a different server than ours) w/ plates, cutlery & napkins. When we got our appetizer (part of the $25 meal), we didn't get anything in regards to plates, cutlery or napkins, we had to request that. I didn't know napkins in a restaurant are upon request? Also had to request the garnishes in our sangrias, bc that's how it was shown in the picture. According to the server, he didn't make the drinks & garnishes come with one sangria & not the other? Uhh ok. Ordering food, both meals were requested to have the sauce on the side. The server said when the food is bought out & if they don't come with the sauce, to ask for them. Why would I have to ask for it when I'm telling you?! Well the food was bought out by a different person, neither had sauce so I requested it & maybe bc I distracted him by asking for the sauce we didn't get, he knocked over my mothers water, which was spilled everywhere. That table of 5 & another table of 3, both who came after us, left before us. VERY slow service & mediocre service across the board from the hostess, server, whoever bought the food over & whoever made the drinks. 2 stars over 1 bc the drinks & food were good. I just ate here and I was very disappointed on the food i received. I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it tasted funky and watery it was disgusting. The drinks are extremely watered down. The beer cheese is like liquid and has no flavor. When there was dirty plates on the tables the server would come and not take them they were on are table for about 20 mins this is absolutely ridiculous I have never had something like this happen. Oh Applebee's...you were always "the spot" for my friends and I in high school and the early years in college. 1/2 off apps and two-fers....couldn't go wrong on a poor student's budget. What happened to you? Tonight was terrible. First it started off with warm beer. When we mentioned something to our sever, our server sent the manger over. The manager stated that they test the temperature of the beer before the start of the shift, and the beer is always 38*. She then went on to say that since they don't chill their beer mugs, that could be why it isn't cold. UMMM no! It's warm because it's warm! I don't believe that beer was 38* at all. On to food. My boyfriend got the unlimited riblets and chicken tenders deal. The riblets were full of cartilage and boney. He had to keep spitting out little bone fragments. Not something you want to keep on doing at a restaurant. The fries were also under-seasoned. He switched to chicken tenders after, and wasn't impressed with those either. Tasted like frozen chicken tenders. I made my own appetizer sampler for my meal. I chose boneless wings, chicken quesadilla, and chicken wonton tacos. The wings were over sauced and the chicken quesadilla was flavorless. The wonton tacos were good. Applebee's has spiraled down hill, bumped its head a few times and drowned in the river. read more
