Nice place for a concert/ show We didn't have dinner here so can't comment on that part Drinks were okay , all seats have a decent view of the stage Nice night out in the burbs with plenty of parking in the lot

Our group of four visited Chanhassen Dinner Theatres last night to see Grease, and we had an absolutely wonderful time! Grease is a classic, and we were all excited to see how CDT would bring it to life and they did not disappoint. We arrived just before 6:00 PM for dinner (seating starts at 5:30), and the parking lot was already bustling. After a short wait in line, we were ushered to a cozy booth with a great view of the stage. Service was prompt--waters came quickly, and our server, Coty, was friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout the evening. We started with the Sampler Platter and the Roasted Garlic Hummus--both were delicious and generously portioned. For entrees, three of us chose the Grilled Top Sirloin, while I went with the Boneless Chicken Tenders. The meals came with a fresh side salad and a warm roll. Everything was cooked well and flavorful--and I even had leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day! Before the show began, Coty took our dessert order so it could arrive during intermission. We shared the Chocolate Cake for Two and the Blackberry Cheesecake, along with some fresh coffee. Both desserts were rich and satisfying....the perfect intermission treat. The performance itself was excellent. The cast brought so much energy and added humor to the show, making it feel fresh while still honoring the spirit of the original. CDT consistently delivers high-quality productions, and Grease was no exception. Overall, it was a fantastic evening filled with good food, great company, and top-notch entertainment. I always look forward to my next visit!

Chanhassen is still decorated for Christmas and we enjoyed the women's clothing shop and gift boutique before we sat down to eat. Bria! What a sweetie! She took orders for the four of us, all of whom ordered the famous Chicken Chanhassen. 13 million people served since 1968. Who knows how many million of those ate Chicken Chanhassen?? Delicious! The beauty and nostalgia of the sets, the music and the dancing and singing for "White Christmas" overwhelmed me. I cried at the end. Hope it's back next year!

Came for a showing of Grease and was very pleasantly surprised with everything! First time here and the food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly and we had our waters topped off frequently. Place has some old time feels to it but it just added to the character. The show was great as well! Will be back for another play for sure

We came as a family of 6 as a Christmas gift for Mom, and she really loved it (the most important part). The entire experience took 4.5 to 5 hours! We came at 5pm, were promptly seated upstairs for a sit down dinner with tablecloths and cloth napkins. Then, it was time to move to the theater for the show. At intermission, we had dessert and settled our bill, before continuing the show. It's not my typical cup of tea, but I'll share my opinions anyway. Ambiance (2/5) Outdated, but it may fit their target customers. We sat in the balcony area and had the best view of the choreography. Service (5/5) Excellent service the entire night. Show Production (4/5) We saw "White Christmas". The cast was pretty good. The story started slow, but it ended nicely. Live Orchestra (5/5) Amazing sound quality! They were perfect. Food (3/5) Make sure to read some reviews and check out some pictures before you order. Food could have been better, but we don't really come here for the food. Drinks (4/5) SO many options and many of them were delicious! From Baileys Hot Cocoa, to Wine and Margaritas, it seemed they had all the options. Diversity (1/5) I was completely shocked that the cast and staff at Chanhassen Dinner Theater seemed to have ZERO Asian representation. I noticed a few African Americans and possibly some Latino representation, but not nearly enough to represent the local population. As someone who values inclusivity and sees the importance of representation in every space, it was SO disappointing. A theater like Chanhassen has such a big platform--they can and should do better. Diversity matters, and the arts should reflect all of us.

We went to see grease. The theater is adorable, clean and fun to walk around. The service was great. The Photo Booth before entering the theater was a nice touch. Our server was great. The good was delicious. We also got the chocolate cake that was enough for 4 people. We enjoyed our overall experience and would go back!

This was our first experience at chanhassen dinner theatres. We went to the comedy show and were wonderfully impressed and laughed our butts off. It's all improve with fun skits that get the crowd involved. It was very hilarious and entertaining! Tickets for just the show are $28 and for twenty dollars more you can get dinner. There's a large parking lot and also a small parking ramp available. It gets busy since they run multiple shows/events in the same night. It was easy to find our show because they have workers to direct you to where you need to be. Dinner was served before the show. The main entrees are included with your dinner ticket but you can select appetizers and add ons for extra. The food was pretty average, nothing too impressive but not bad by any means. They had some fun cocktails we tried and enjoyed. Dinner was around 6pm and the show starts at 8pm and goes till 10pm. It was a great experience for us. Next time we will probably skip the dinner and come to the show. All the seating was in view of the stage and it didn't feel too cramped in there at all.

    Salmon was delicious

Recently went to Prom at the Chanhassen dinner theater! The service was soooo great! They were helpful with questions about the menu and very clear about timing of when the food would arrive before and mid show. I loved the Atlantic salmon with smoky red onion & poblano glaze, wild rice pilaf and grilled asparagus. I would recommend the salmon!! It wasn't overdone and the glaze was the perfect addition. For appetizers, we ordered the sampler platter which included coconut shrimp, mozzarella sticks, pot stickers and artichoke dip. Dessert I had to go with a yummy mint shake! The venue has such a long history and character to it! I can't wait to bring my family to another upcoming show!

Absolutely amazing venue! We were recently to see Beautiful, and the whole experience was exceptional. The theater is the perfect size, so there is no bad seat in the house. The tables and chairs are solid and comfortable. The food is cooked to order and timed to perfection. Nothing is rushed, and the staff makes you feel like family. The show was incredible! I can't wait to spend many more magical evenings here.

We attended the Sunday Drag Brunch and were pleased with the entire experience. The brunch menu was limited but we understand why. The French toast bake was delicious. The wait staff were all wonderful. The entertainment was phenomenal. The host made great jokes that felt impromptu and quite hilarious. Highly recommend if you like great music, artistic expression, over the top makeup and dazzling costumes. Fabulous!

We had had a terrible experience trying to deal with a different company originally and we ended up having to find another company and I am so so glad we found the Mystery Cafe. First off, Brian, who is the owner, was just fantastic all around, responsive, accommodating, kind, and organized. The night of the actual performance, I did not feel nervous at all, he and I had communicated multiple times and also already tested all of the electronics weeks prior to the event, it went off without a hitch. It was fun because it did require audience participation, but it was not too high pressure and they made the atmosphere just so light and exciting and it was FUNNY! There was so much humor and I found myself laughing a lot more than I had thought that I would. 10/10 would recommend. They came to our event, there were 3 actors and I must say, I think that the cost was very fair and reasonable. Great time!

I so appreciate the good time that the staff there showed my daughter. She said she still can't stop talking about it; said she's obsessed with it now, and tells everyone all about our night there! We're both looking so forward to doing it again and my daughter, Christy said, "And next time I won't be so scared! I'll be able to keep my eyes open through the whole thing!" (She's so adorable.) There is a little coaster that is at the table that you can turn over for service or not if you don't want to be disturbed while watching the show. I ordered my food while waiting as I know there were two showing and I kind to eat or have most of my food eaten so I can enjoy the show. I started off with the jalapeno bacon wrapped poppers and the focaccia bread. the popper were not big and bulky and had a great smokey flavor to the bacon, which were probably put the on grill and not pan or oven cooked. I'm not a big bread person, but when I am out I'll usually eat and the foccacio was great and I needed to soak up the wine I was having with my food. At first I thought it was just normal stuff that happens all the time. Like the leads pretty much ignored anyone who wasn't a lead, and they hang out together after rehearsal every night and never invited anyone else. I wasn't surprised at that stuff. But then some of them decided to have their own secret cast party at the same time as the cast party that everyone was invited to! They lied about why they didn't come to the party when they were really just going to their own special party. WTF. They could of had their special party any time. Enough has changed since my initial review to warrant an update here. For one thing, they closed…read more.. but then they reopened. There was also a pandemic that they survived, although moviegoing culture is definitely not the same. In 2026, the two big, unique features of Alamo Drafthouse are technically still true: (1) restaurant-quality food and drink are served to your seat, and (2) they threaten to kick you out without a refund if you talk or use your phone during the movie. The latter claim is dubious, since I've often observed talking and texting that went unpunished, even after I reported it once. People here are more respectful on average, though. The food situation has changed a bit recently. For one thing, it seems like the menu rotates a lot. They often have themed items based on the big movie of the time. You can expect the kind of food you'd find at a modern American pub, but with elevated prices, this being a movie theater after all. However, they recently started directing all orders to be transacted in their app. It is an imperfect system that I've tolerated. It can be a lot more difficult to communicate nuances with your order, and there doesn't seem to be a way to simply request some water. They want you to not use your phones during the movie, even though they clearly want you to order stuff using your phone. Between all that and the prices, I've found myself discouraged from ordering food. I have a long, long history with seeing movies in cinema complexes, and I am convinced that Auditorium #5 (aka "The Big Show") at this location has the best presentation around. If I am excited to see a movie and it is going to have fancy visuals and sound, I make sure to book a ticket in that specific auditorium. So that should tell you something. They have a real culture of movie fandom going on, with their curated slate of classic movies and pre-show vintage movie content. They also regularly show beloved kids movies. The employees are invariably helpful and enthusiastic, even if it is increasingly easy to avoid interacting with anyone. So I'm content to keep coming here for movies whether or not I'll order the expensive, so-so food.

Dinner and a show spot!…read more @alamotwincities in Woodbury is a perfect all in one outting. They have a restaurant/bar outside of the theaters but no need really because you can order food and drinks during the movie and never leave your seat! They have nicely spaced seats that recline, full menu, discrete lighting, notepads and pens to write your order down and a server will grab your order once it's propped up then your food will come out shortly. Tonight we saw a long 3 hour movie which was perfect to get dinner and then later dessert and a snack during the show. (Food pics were in the dark so I did my best) My our order tonight that I'd point you towards in order: Chicken Tenders with dry rub, added ranch and honey mustard for dips. These are awesome. My top pick here. Chocolate Chip Cookies. They come out warm and perfect. Milkshakes (didn't get one this time but goes well with warm cookies) Truffle & Parmesan popcorn. All of their popcorn options are free refills. Royal with cheese burger. This was a decent choice to get. Going to the movies theater always brings back nostalgia, joy and excitement. This adds another layer of enjoyment with having dinner or snacks served while you watch your movie. If you've never gone, highly suggest you do.
