Rude and snarky when speaking with the Sales Manager Tony Hafiz. I wrote to inquire about a BMW to ask for maintenance records. He referred me to the CarFax. I said that in 2000 miles that the timing belt was going to need replacement as well as the water pump which can run from $3000-3500 and that is why people tend to trade them in at that point...to avoid that expense which gets passed along to the next owner. I apologized and said that I would pass as I did not want to purchase a vehicle that will need $3-4k worth of repairs 2 months into ownership. He came back at me saying they have timing chains not belts and if I assume all of the go out that I "should call BMW because he is sure they would like to know that". Written using capital letters being very snarky. (timing chains or more labor intensive than timing belts so he essentially shot himself in the foot by pointing that out by the way) I thought that was quite rude and had choice words for him. He did respond and apologize (because I said that I would write a review letting people know how he spoke to me). He said that he didn't mean to be rude that it was meant as sarcasm. Does that make it any more acceptable to be sarcastic with a potential customer?? It shows a lot about his character. To treat people as if they were below him. And the fact remains that most BMWs have timing chain/water pump issues as well as oil leaks. Imagine that in 2000 miles of ownership (the car has 78k miles) that if a mechanic tells you this needs to be done and gives you and estimate for $3500. Do you think Tony is going to cover that cost? No. Do you think Tony is going to warn a customer of the possibility of this expense? No. He acquires a BMW cheap right before this maintenance needs to be done. Polishes the car to look new. Flips it for a profit. Why do you think a BMW that costs $40k new a couple of years ago is being sold for $12k? Because people buy them new, keep them while they are under warranty, then trade them when the warranty is up for another new one leaving the VERY costly repairs for the next owner. read more

Let me just start by saying my son was looking for a specific Audi for months and he finally found the car at Chantilly. However we were in RI and they are in Virginia. Somehow he convinced me to purchase this car without actually seeing or driving it. We had to bank wire the money and had no idea if this car would show up. i must have called this place 20 times to be sure we were receiving this car. Tony answered all our questions every time We called and the car showed up in the exact condition they described. The transfer to RI was seamless. We then were waiting for the title and that took a little longer than expected but I called and Alex was able to extend the temp registration within a few hours. don't even get me started on how the purchasing process went. it's now been over 6 weeks since I purchased from them and still no title delivered and no record of the car being titled to me at the dmv and I paid cash. I know they did the paperwork on the car that I had sold to them because I got notified. So either they haven't done the paperwork correctly or they haven't felivered the paperwork to the dmv out of spite, but either way I can't drive my car Because the temp tag is expired. I've gotten no responses to my email to them asking for another temp title. read more

Found the car searching on line in Florida. After contacting Tony and Shaq, they sent additional pictures and were very responsive to my questions. Sent deposit to hold car, booked a flight, rental car and hotel and off to VA my wife and I went. Arrived , drove the car, bought the car and drove home. Everything went smooth. Tony was helpful with the details on the car. Tony said he would help me find a few minor items after the sale and he came through and had a new BMW emblem sent direct and found new covers for the convertible buttons and a screw cover and had them mailed direct no cost to me. They slow-rolled sending the information and then sold the car claiming that they were waiting for a deposit, despite never sending the paperwork required to send them the requested deposit. I almost got sucked into buying a used 2013 M5 from these crooks. I called Tony to test drive the vehicle for a couple of hours. Having four kids, I was planning on taking the vehicle home to show my wife, even installed one of my car seats into this vehicle. Had a brief conversation with Tony about the business and learned he and his brother have been operating for multiple years. He handed me the keys, I installed a car seat into the back and I was off. Once I made the turn off of pleasant valley Rd. And into route 50, and after shifting into second gear, the M5 instantly went into LIMP mode. Error messages such as Moderate Brake Moderate started showing up. While in LIMP mode the vehicle will only allow you to go 5-10mph in which any power steering goes out the window as well. On route 50, posted speed limit is 55mph, luckily I was able to cut across 3 lanes and into the next turn. I turned the car off and attempted to start it twice in which it failed. After the third time, the car finally started but had an extremely rough idle. I immediately called Tony but instead got his brother Shaq. I explained what happened and Tony and one of his techs show up. Tony jumps into the M5 and becomes stranded on route 50. He calls for a tow truck and doesn't pull back into his dealership until 45 min later. As I'm removing my kids car seat, he's explaining to me that he didn't know why I ran into any of those issues and that he drove the vehicle for 2 weeks. But yet, two different people at his dealership to include his brother confessed that the vehicle had been sitting there unused for so long.... while removing the car seat, he had the audacity to try and SELL ME ANOTHER M3 ON THE WAY TO HIS DEALERSHIP!!! Imagine if I had picked my kid up and the car went into LIMP mode on that same road and I wasn't so lucky dodging cars going 60mph... Stay far away from this place. I'm baffled by the negative reviews on this site! Maybe they got their establishments mixed up? My experience: This was bar-none the best experience I've ever had buying a car! What's funny is I was actually looking for a different dealership but made a wrong turn and wound up at Chantilly Auto Sales. It was the best mistake I've ever made! When I realized I had the wrong place one of the owners Googled the name of the other dealership to show me its location. That caught my attention. He didn't try to interest me their stock, but was pulling up a map to direct me to his competition. While I waited, I couldn't help but notice the gorgeous vehicles parked outside their business. On the way in, I'd spied a black M5 and commented on how gorgeous it was. The owner pointed out some others and told me a little about them. He then said he had an M3 in that they were getting ready to sell - a 2001 E46 naturally aspirated manual transmission with only 53,000 miles on it. That particular model/year happens to be among a select group of vehicles that are actually *appreciating* in value. My jaw dropped. I *had* to see it, so he brought me back. It was on a service ramp and was absolutely stunning! It had clearly been very well maintained - looked brand new! I couldn't help but test-drive it. Without thinking, I told him I wanted to buy it. Most staggering to me was the complete lack of pressure or fast-talk. When I sat down with the other owner (Tony) we were talking about unrelated things. At a lull in the conversation, he sat back in his chair and said, "So what do you want to do? Do you want the car?" Again- no pressure, no sales-speak, - just a question. When I said yes and the paperwork was underway he told me that he'd just listed it the previous morning and already had 9 calls and one hard offer. He said he actually had planned to keep it for himself and made me promise he got first dibs if I ever wanted to sell it. I promised. :0) He took care of all of the DMV paperwork right there, and I'll be receiving my plates within the next day or two. If I could give them zero stars I would. They don't even deserve the one I had no choice but to select just so I could leave a review. From the moment I drove my car off the lot I had issues with both the car and the employees. When attempting to get ahold of them to report an issue that arose the same day I bought the car they not only avoided my emails but dodged my calls as well. The used car sales in Chantilly owned by a guy named shaq is a strange place.I recently tried to get in touch with them for a car they advertised through car gurus.For about a week the scarcely answered associate informed that the car is being driven by the owner. After some follow up they confirmed availability for 9 am .I showed up and there was no car.Tried calling the owner who confrmed that he will come with the car in 45 minutes.I followed up for a couple of hours and still no response. Don't buy a car from this dealer. They are liars and crooks. Tony will court you through the entire process of buying the car, reassuring the car is trouble free. Then when you have it in your possession to question maintenance issues there are no return calls, no follow up calls, and if the phone is answered they become very defensive, aggressive, and dismissive. I bought a 2009 BMW 335ix for $16k that I didn't test drive, nor have an independent tech inspect, before it was shipped to me. The price of the car was $5k over the true value. I was assured by Tony that the car had no issues. Tony stated he had personally driven the car for some time, and invested heavily to maintain the car in great running condition. Tony also stated for the above reason why the cost was greater than the actual value, and that he would not be making any money off of this sale. When the car arrived, I drove it to a BMW auto center to get inspected. On the way, the rear brakes were making a hissing sound. The tech informed and showed that my rotors were rusted and warped, the valve cover gasket needed to be replaced, the oil pan cover gasket needed to be replaced, the alternator needed to be replaced, the battery needed to be recharged ( because the alternator was draining the battery. Not to mention I got stranded because of this), and the TMP sensor on the front driver's side wheel needed to be replaced (no air can enter the stem). The cost to have these repairs done is outrageous, and should've been addressed before the sale. May GOD punish them in this life and the next for their deception and thievery. Ameen. read more

Never buy a vehicle there. I am in the process of filing a law suit against them. They sold me a car that had a frame damage and worth half the price without ever disclosing it. They misrepresented the vehicle and gave deceiving information. They make money by committing a fraud. Do not even consider purchasing there. You will regret 100%. There are plenty of other places. Bought a 2012 VW Golf R from these guys 4 months ago. 40+ year old married father of 2 looking for a fun car to drive to work, not a Fast and Furious fan by any means. Consumers beware! This business is selling vehicles they have purchased via bank financier through the auto auctions and they do not possess the titles! Something suspicious is going on with them, do not be fooled by their demeanor or prices! We purchased a vehicle and have yet to receive the title, it's been over a month, it was like pulling teeth to get them to extend the temp tags and they almost didn't send them in time! Bought a lexus from these guys that had a clean carfax from what we were shown however shortly after taking posession of the car we noticed that it needed washer fluid which lead to the discovery that both the resevoir for the inverter and washer fluid had be severely damaged and very poor attempts at repair. Within a week or so the starter battery had to be replaced and other signs of a colission were noticed. They listed the car as having a original lexus cargo cover that from the dealer costs around 800 new and it was not there when we picked up the car. The put in writing that they would ship the right one to us. It's been 3 months and they refuse to return or answer calls and emails. I was THIS close to purchasing a car here (the 07 Jetta), when I decided to call the last mechanic that was recorded on the carfax. It turns out the car needed $7,000 worth of repairs (on a car that was listed for just over $9k). Thank god I thought to check this. Also, repeatedly tell customers that they were advised of the vehicle's possible wear and tear or that it is a used vehicle. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND TONY THAT WORKS FOR IT. I was told they would help with repairs after selling me a poor quality car, I haven't heard from them! I call and I don't receive calls back. I had to take my own paperwork to DMV because Tony said they don't want the hassle of doing it. It took multiple calls and me going back into the dealership in order for them to change my Warranty to the one I signed for. The provided warranty is horrible, DONT BUY IT!! Once Chantilly Auto Sales sell you the vehicle, they don't stand behind it. That's why they ask you to sign a document restricting you from suing them in court. I assisted my niece in purchasing her first car. They had what she wanted (a Honda CR-V) priced considerably less than the superstores, so we went to see them. They allowed us to give the car a thorough examination and to take a lengthy test drive. They answered our questions honestly and worked with my niece to reach a price that fit her budget. Scammers. Cars are purchased at auction with lots of frame damage. they do a minimal fixup and try to sell at a rate lower than everyone else which is what draws customers in. I was lied to about its accident history, which they knew from the auction history. all they said was "clean carfax" which was not the full story and they knew it. shaq and tony have very low character and will say and do anything to make a sale. Fraud Tony misrepresented the conditions of the car he sold to us. The car had a falsified state inspection sticker and was not safe to drive off the lot. It needed about $2100 and counting of repairs. Tony picked up about $700 of this, so we are out of pocket $1400 and counting, and we are needing to take the car in for further repairs, yet again, this week. We have made numerous requests for a part that Tony promised to send, and for the results of the investigation into the falsified inspection that Tony and Alex each promised they would undertake, and for reimbursement of our repair bills. Tony and Alex are not responsive, do not follow-through on their promises, and have refused to give us the square deal that was agreed upon. We relied on the state inspection sticker, thinking it was real and the car was safe to drive, and we would not have bought it knowing the truth. Tony had a mechanic down the block from him look at the car and confirm that everything was fine. The car was not fine. Tony also lied to my girlfriend about his ability to adjust the purchase price to subtract some anticipated repair costs. There was no such issue when I spoke to him about it. There were also repeated delays in receiving the title. If you must buy from Tony, make sure you have your own trusted mechanic inspect the car before committing to anything. read more
