Buyers beware - do not trust Poya ! He's one of the managers and he seems like a great guy when he's trying to sell you a car. He convinced us that the thorough used car inspection process was when I could trust. We purchased a car and driving home start having issues with the brakes, reached out we're told to come in, they take care of it. Next day, power steering stopped working. When we brought the car in, we were told this is a used car with no warranty. We asked for a copy of the state safety inspection and were refused a copy. If the truck passed inspection, why wouldn't they share the copy? The ridiculousness continues when Poya told me, the head of their service department doesn't have a single technician comfortable working on a Chevrolet truck power steering. It's a power steering pump any apprentice mechanic can fix this. I emplored Poya, to do the right thing. Plus, he knew we were there to buy a second car. He refused to help. I made a terrible mistake of trusting a used car sales manager. I thought the Ourisman name meant something reputable. Thanks to Poya I know differently. Made advice if you're looking for a used car buy it somewhere else. If you're looking for a new car, buy it from the salesman Amen, Toyota will stand behind that Warranty you don't have to worry about Poya's word. Customer service. Do I need to explain what that means? I made an appointment, was told I might have to leave my car overnight. When I asked if there was someone who could drive me 5 min to a restaurant to get lunch while I waited, I was told that the shuttle was no longer available (no mention that I could have a loaner car). Hungry, I decided to Uber to said restaurant. And wondering if I would have a car or not tonight, I decided to call the dealership to see what my options were - if my car was ready, if a loaner was available... in the meantime I receive this text suggesting almost $600 worth of additional work on my car. I declined everything that I can hoping to move the process along and get my car back but the fee was still over $120 for an oil change. The representative on the phone tells me that I can get a loaner car but at this point I have to take an Uber back anyway because no one told me this in the first place. And this is why I avoid coming to this dealership unless I absolutely have to. read more

I used take my rx 350 regularly to this place I don't do that anymore. Once they messed up something and let know in the subsequent visit. They said they're fixing it for me at no cost and are replacing the part after getting it from Lexus. I was still ok with that. Then one other time they were going to fail the inspection because wiper blades were worn out. Ok so they didn't fail it I drove all the way to Lexus and gave them the wiper blades to install. The person who was assisting me tells me that they don't fit. Stating one of the wiper blades was longer than it should be and was extending beyond the windshield. They passed the inspection as I was going to get them replaced anyway. That was kind of them. When I went to return the wiper blades at Lexus dealership I looked like fool no doubt. But the real problem was with this Toyota dealership. They have no idea to how the wiper blades are supposed to be installed. I ordered them on Amazon and installed them myself. It happens to be that the wiper on the drivers side is bigger than passengers side. Now I know the wipers that I had bought driving all the way to the dealership and back were fine. These guys just don't know their job and I'm never returning. I had another incident when I was returning a leased 2015 Camry in 2018 the guy had no respect for women or customers. This is what happened to me: I'm writing this review out of complete frustration and disappointment. I dropped off my Toyota Highlander at Toyota Ourisman Chantilly for a tire replacement. The car stayed with them over the weekend, and when I picked it up on Monday, October 6, I was shocked to find a large crack across my front windshield. Before even driving the car out of the service area, I immediately spoke with Parts and Service Director, Mathew Frick, and General Manager, David. To their credit, they reviewed the security video footage, which clearly showed that my windshield was perfectly fine when I dropped the car off. However, despite this undeniable evidence, they refused to accept any responsibility for the damage. Instead of owning up to it or even showing a bit of professionalism or empathy, both managers were dismissive, disrespectful, and completely unhelpful. It's extremely disappointing to see a Toyota dealership operate this way -- no accountability, no respect for customers, and no integrity. I visited Ourisman Chantilly Toyota to buy a used Toyota Camry. The car I came to see had already sold, so I looked at another one on the lot. The sales associate was friendly, patient, and willing to help. She answered my questions and tried to work with me on the price. When we discussed pricing, I showed her the KBB data that placed the car above the average market value. She said she would speak with her manager. When the manager (Poya) joined the conversation, the experience changed. His tone felt dismissive and condescending. I explained my research and showed the KBB numbers, but he shut down the discussion and did not show interest in a fair negotiation. After that interaction, I felt uncomfortable continuing the process, so I thanked them and left. Issue was front looking camera was inoperative on our 2024 RAV-4 Limited. Jeff was our service writer. when vehicle was ready and we were leaving the Service Bay....realized still had same problem. To their credit they immediately jumped on this problem and after going through four service techs, Scott, the go-to fixer was able to solve our problem. Scott drove out to a parking space to ensure the fix worked. Very impressed on how everybody jumped in to solve this problem and make this right. In the meantime, they did a multi point inspection complete with video everything was A-OK. They even helped transfer groceries from their loaner car to our vehicle.... responsive and respectful. Summary: If you buy from this location, take the vehicle to your mechanic of choice for a check-up before purchasing. Their service department does not do its due diligence in ensuring that their vehicles are good to go, and the salesmen are not there to be frank with you. I recently bought a used Tacoma at this location. While they did replace the gas tank door because of an issue they found, they passed the truck for inspection and sold it when it shouldn't have passed: after I got it home I noticed that the brake light was broken and a wheel nut was also broken off. Part of the side mirror had a melted spot on it as well. The vehicle also hadn't been cleaned as there was dust on the dash and the seats were dirty (they said it had been cleaned before I originally saw it as well as after I left it there for a week for the gas tank door to be replaced...(it hadn't)). I made them aware of these issues and they made the necessary repairs, but when I took the truck back in to get the brake light replaced, I was driving it away when I realized that the turn signals weren't working correctly. When I brought it back, the rear signals and the brake lights weren't working at all--they had installed the light but no light bulbs, and they hadn't tested it. I'd been searching for a Tacoma for a while, and we went with a "big name" dealer in spite of it being more expensive because of the perceived security...we thought that they really would do a good check of the vehicle and verify that it was 100% prior to selling it. Main caution: the salesmen are very nice and solicitous, however, you can be sure that they are not being truthful. All of the parties I spoke with had the attitude of, "that's so odd that that issue was there, it must have happened on the way home or on the lot while the vehicle was waiting to be sold." It didn't happen on the way home and the vehicle had been traded in and was on the lot for only 2 days before I bought it. I'm sure its their practice to avoid admitting fault, but I would have preferred a frank response / admission instead of acting baffled over all the problems that came to light.. Their service and inspection teams are clearly not committed to doing the essentials to verify that the vehicles, at least, can pass inspection. read more

I am very disappointed with my recent service experience at Chantilly Toyota. I dropped off my vehicle at 12:30 PM for replacement of four tires and four TPMS sensors. The total quoted price was about $1,600, and I was told the work would take only a couple of hours. The main issues were commitment, pricing transparency, and customer service. Throughout the afternoon, I called multiple times for updates but could not reach my advisor. When I returned to the dealership around 3:30 PM, I still did not receive clear communication. Around 5 PM, I was informed the vehicle would not be completed and I would need to either leave it until Monday or take it without the full sensor configuration completed. This was never clearly communicated earlier in the day. Regarding pricing, I requested the standard discount that Chantilly Toyota usually applies for service totals over $1,000 (my total was around $1,600). The duty manager acknowledged this request. However, after I expressed that I was unhappy with the service experience, the advisor became upset, raised his voice, and behaved unprofessionally. In the end, the $150 discount was not applied. I urgently needed my vehicle for Monday and could not leave it there, so I paid $1,044 for incomplete service. I have four Toyota vehicles and have been servicing all of them at this location for the past 7-8 years. I have also purchased multiple vehicles here and referred many friends and family. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will no longer return to this dealership for service and will choose to go elsewhere, and I can no longer recommend this location for service. read more

This is a large Toyota dealership and was extremely crowded. Our sales lady greeted us at the door. She was very nice and asked what my son was looking for? He explained and she took us outside to view cars. We found one that he was considering and she said she would go in and get the keys. Ten minutes later, I was freezing outside, and she tells us we can't see the car because it wasn't programmed. So, we go back inside and she is scrolling through inventory. We decided that at this point, it was time to go, and she brings over a high pressure salesman, who was asking, Did you show him the blue one? Well, to me, that means she didn't know her in stock inventory and we said that we would come back. Personally, I told my son that this car resembled driving a cargo van. So, I wasn't impressed by the looks on the outside of the car. As we were sitting there, huge drum sounds go off, and I came to find out that happens each time they sell a car. I've taken my car to this dealership for 15 years. Took my FJ Cruiser, a classic car I've had for a long time, there for basic service. Before taking the car in, I spent a lot of time and effort to detail the car. Upon picking it up, the car was completely covered in dirt and mud. When I asked what happened, they said it's because of the construction going on next door. I'm sorry, but why are you parking customer's cars next to the construction when you have a huge lot. When I asked them to wash the vehicle, they said their machine was broken. Someone needs to figure this out. Totally unacceptable. This is a service department review. Service advisor quoted me cost of (1) hour for a diagnostic fee. When my daughter paid the bill, they added 20% extra for "shop supplies". Advisor never returned my message about the extra charge that he never disclosed in his estimate to me. When I spoke to his boss, he refused to credit the shop supplies but had the chutzpah to ask me if I still needed the repair done. You give enlightened meaning to the term stealership. They readily agreed to repair a non-impact-related crack in the power liftgate of my new 2024 Prius Prime XSE Premium about 2.5 months after I bought the car from Koons Tysons Toyota. Koons refused to repair the crack, even though there are plenty of instances online of dealers repairing the crack under warranty (because it is obviously a manufacturing and/or transportation-related defect). I've been bringing my Tacoma to Ourisman Chantilly Toyota for service for a while now. The location is convenient, and up until recently, I've had a pretty good experience with their service team and how they've cared for my vehicle. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me very disappointed. I purchased a service package at the Tysons location that includes oil changes and tire rotations--something I've been using without issue. However, during this visit, I was told by Farvez that tire rotation is not included. I explained that it has always been part of the package, and it's one of the main reasons I purchased it in the first place. Rather than working with me, he told me they were already losing money on my package and that if I wasn't happy, I should just go back to the Tysons dealer. That kind of attitude toward a loyal customer is incredibly disappointing. Needless to say, I won't be returning to Ourisman Chantilly. It's unfortunate to see a place lose a returning client over something that could have been handled with a little more care and professionalism. read more

The service department at Ourisman Chantilly Toyota treated a family member very unfairly when they were having a repair done many years ago. The service manager then offered (rather, threatened) to remove the replacement part they had just installed if we didn't agree with their price (a form of passive aggressive behavior exhibited by the service manager). When the service manager said that to me, I told him out loud in their showroom that I will never again set foot in their dealership or any dealerships owned by Ourisman. We have made good on that promise. Since then over the years, our family members and myself have purchased several new cars and serviced our cars at other dealerships. A lesson to Ourisman Chantilly Toyota and all dealerships with the Ourisman name: if you try to screw, are insincere, or lack courteous service one-time, it can cost you (and your reputation) from getting any business from customers and their family and friends for a lifetime. read more

I took my car to a mechanic because there was an issue with the ABS module. I bought a replacement part from eBay, and the mechanic tested it to ensure it was working before installing it in the car. However, after installing the part, we were unable to program it, so I decided to take the car to a Toyota service center. When I arrived to toyota, I explained the entire situation, mentioning that I had come from the mechanic, installed the part purchased from eBay, but couldn't program it. They told me they wouldn't use that part and would order a new one instead. They also said they would return my part to me, and I agreed, mentioning that I planned to return the part I purchased. After a few days, they resolved my ABS module issue. However, when I got home, I noticed the part I had bought from eBAY was not in the box. I immediately called them, and they told me they had thrown the part trash away. I insisted that I had clearly stated from the beginning that I wanted the part returned and asked why they had done this, but they couldn't provide an answer. They said they would check the trash again. Now, the part I bought for approximately $1,000 has not been returned to me despite my clear instructions, and I have received no resolution despite repeatedly following up. This is the first time I've experienced such unprofessional behavior. I kindly request that my issue be resolved. read more

DO NOT BUY car batteries from them because they will not honor the warranty unless you pay to tow your car to the dealer and pay them to install it. I purchased a Toyota TrueStart car battery from one of Toyota's authorized dealers, Ourisman Chantilly Toyota, on 01/22/. Toyota's TrueStart batteries come with a 84-month warranty. According to the Toyota website at 36 months I was entitled to a prorated rate (50% off new battery). When I called the dealership to confirm this, they found the record of my purchase and agreed that I would get the 50% prorated cost. I t asked them if I could bring the old battery in and exchange it for the new one. This is where my issues start. They told me that they could only honor the warranty if I: 1) Cover the cost of towing my entire vehicle to the dealer; 2) and pay them to install the new battery. They said a policy prevented them from honoring the warranty if I bring only the battery and exchange it for a new one. Nowhere on the warranty does it say that I must incur the cost of towing my vehicle, and getting the new battery installed. Out of principle I took my business elsewhere. read more

I just went in for my first maintenance at Ourisman Chantilly and it felt like going back to visit family. I go to get my car, which they bring to the front of the building, bringing me the feeling of having just purchased a car. This small gesture of bringing it to the front makes a huge difference. Like bringing back a happy memory of getting my car for the first time. I took my Toyota Avalon in for service and asked for an VA inspection. I paid over $3,000 for various work, and they did not provide an inspection, although they charged me for one. I noticed, as I left, that the inspection sticker was the same as it was. Were the other issues repaired properly for over $3,000? Who knows? They said to come back again. Frankly, my time is money and they charged me for something I asked for, was listed on the bill, paid for, and did not receive. CAVEAT EMPTOR. I think it is time that I get another brand of auto. Quality control is deficient here, and it tarnishes an otherwise good brand. read more

DO NOT take your car here for service! I was going to take my vehicle to AutoNation Toyota in leesburg to get service done, but Ourisman Toyota is closer to my work so I brought it there. Jeff Washington told me when I scheduled the appointment, that my outstanding items could be fixed at Ourisman Toyota, even though AutoNation started the process as long it was not a serialize part. That apparently was a lie because Ourisman Toyota sent me a bill for $2,000 to fix items that should have been covered under warranty. The most upsetting part is that one of my items I needed repaired was my side view mirror switch. When I dropped the vehicle off the switch was working partially. When I went to pick the vehicle up the switch had the paint scrapped off of one side and now the switch does not work at all. Then Ourisman Toyota tried to tell me that either myself or someone else broke the switch and it's not their problem. I only expect to get my vehicle back in the same condition I dropped it off. If Ourisman Toyota breaks something, I would expect them to fix it. I am a United States Marine and Integrity is extremely important to me. If you value integrity stay far away from this service department. They will break your car and then try to have you pay to get it fixed. This is very upsetting. I brought this up to Matthew Frick who is the service detector and he didn't seem to care either. This is unfortunate. read more
