This place was so yummy! We ordered the Santafe chicken and Tacos Al Pastor and the meat was perfectly flavorful and tender. Food was delicious! The staff is super friendly and they play lively music but not too loud. It was nice to walk in for a late dinner on a weekday in Weaverville where everything closes early.

Easily the worst Mexican I have ever eaten. My order was wrong, first off. Secondly, the "chicken" in the grilled chicken nachos I ordered was bland shredded chicken. They also added carrots. Not sure if they were going for a chicken pot pie, but it was terrible.

a half eaten plate of food

Had a steak and shrimp burrito to go !it was huge the shrimp was ok but the meat was awful. It was tough and grizzly.! would not return !

First time trying this place and to my surprise I was pleased with my visit. Staff was friendly and the restaurant vibe though must smaller than other similar restaurants it had a fun vibe more of a tourist decor in Mexico if you wondered into a little village cantina. Everything I saw was clean. Prices seemed reasonable and food was tasty. I just popped in for lunch so I had a tamale with rice and beans but it was plenty. I liked that they brought you a bean dip AND salsa to the table. Their chips were wonderful quite thick and had a much smoother texture than typical restaurant tortilla chips. They were almost more like a flour tortilla chip than corn. Their bean dip and salsa were quite thin but that doesn't bother me much at all as long as they have flavor which both did. They offer daily drink specials so I had a 34 ounce beer for only 4.50$ I would suggest this establishment over the neighboring Mexican restaurant next to IHOP and Papa Johns who acts as if they are the only show in town. I was pleasantly surprised by my early week mid day visit to Chapala. If you are interested in outdoor seating they have an adorable little patio.

Absolutely disgusting service and food. I've never had to complain about a restaurant in over 20 years. This was awful. Bland and horrible food. Even the mint toothpick, even though lacking in mint flavor, had most to offer than the food. Best of all, when I was checking out, the owner (Jerrod?) called me an asshole in front of my wife and child. Don't waste your time or money, stay clear.

Good food. Solid, fast service. Dos Equis draft was ice cold. Burritos are big. Fair prices.

Generous portions, good service. Try the Special #7. I love their rice. No problem parking.

We had great service. We started with the caviar appetizer. This consisted of caviar atop a crispy layered potato tot with creme'. It was delicious, albeit expensive for the portion size. I could have had a plate of those as my meal if the price was not so steep. My husband ordered the Elk (when in Rome!) and I had the Scallops based on a recommendation from the bartender in our club lounge. Both were excellent, but my husband's elk stole the show. It was worth every bite. It had the same crispy potato as the caviar set up and was an excellent pairing. Perfectly cook cooked to the chef's recommendation with a lovely reduction sauce to complement the meat. No "gamey" moment in the slightest. Super fresh! It was a great first experience with elk. My scallops were also impressively cooked to perfection. Not overdone- which I find restaurants guilty of doing all too often, and usually leads me to not order scallops. They were accompanied by a butternut risotto, fresh mushrooms and a sauce that escapes me. The portion size was appropriate for that price point. We did not have room for dessert, but we managed to sneak in an espresso martini and an old-fashioned to top the night off.
