They were extremely dismissive when I brought in my older Mercedes to see if they could correct some of the paint. Lady came out and said real quick, $10K to paint a car and it would take it us a month. Then gave me a card to take it somewhere else. I didn't even say no to the 10K!! I was looking for high quality work and I found that here! The staff and management are very honest, thorough, and meticulous with their work. I'm a very detailed oriented person and tend to have an eye in catching the smallest thing. Their work is excellent and fast!! The staff is very polite, kind, and willing to help. Several years ago I went to get an estimate on an older Lexus we had that had very minor damage. The car was backed into and although the car looked ok the rear door would not operate properly. At the Toyota dealers advice I took it to Raintree Auto Body. The estimate was for $6000 to pull out the center door post and repaint and blend in the side of the car. I pointed out the car wasn't worth a whole lot more than $6000 and got the yada yada about doing things right.... I took the car to Al's Unibody and Frame Repair and for a few hundred bucks Al pulled the door post into position. The door worked perfectly. I then spent a few hundred with a paint less dent guy and the whole car was fixed for well under $1000. I traded the car in a couple years later and the dealer hadn't a clue there was ever even an issue. read more

Took my car here for repair. Kara was extremely helpful, kind, and proactive in keeping me updated throughout the entire time my vehicle was undergoing repair. When it came time to pick my car up, almost 2 months later, I gave a few hours in advance that I would be coming in for it. I had a work meeting prior that ran late. I called the front desk to let them know I was on my way (more than half way en route), but would be arriving just a few minutes after close (5pm). The woman I spoke to told me that they were not willing to wait 7 minutes, nor leave my keys accessible to me. I expressed to her that I dropped off my temporary means of transportation and I was counting on having my vehicle. She didn't respond. It was silent for a moment. Then without any notice, Bob, the owner was put on the phone. He was extremely rude. Cut me off mid sentence multiple times. Some of his exact words were "Yeah so we clock in at 6:30 and clock out at 5:00. Eleven hours is a long enough day for us." To which I attempted to respond, but was hung up on. They then neglected to answer their phone, even though it was before 5:00. I find it unprofessional that they had no problem taking my phone call to pay my deductible right before close, but then couldn't wait a few minutes for me to actually pick up my car. I understand being an employee and being out the door right at 5pm, but as someone running a business you would think there would be more grace and better customer service. If it weren't for Kara being so lovely, this review would receive no stars. read more

Continuing to give malfunctions. They didn't put the front facia on correctly it's crooked with panel gaps everywhere. And then when we asked the guy about it it was Bob and they pretty much put their hands in the air and said well this is the best we can do. So my insurance company has to actually not paid them for the work that they did because they really didn't fix the car and I had to take it somewhere else. It is a one if I could give them a zero I would it was the worst experience at any car repair shop I have ever had in my life. My car looks good after it was fixed, but the customer service and overall attitudes of Bob and Sandra were terrible. I was NOT told to call them one hour before I was going to pickup my car, so when I got there, I was not aware Sandra (front desk) required that. She called Bob on the phone (who was only about 5 feet away), and asked him if he told me their policy. He said "yes" and lied to her right in front of me! She then decided to take it out on me and told me to have a seat because since I didn't call them, I would have to wait 20-30 more minutes for my car. Her tone was extremely rude and her actions were unacceptable. From that moment on, she was nothing but nasty to me. Sandra then paged Bob, and told him I was waiting for him (again, he was about 5 feet away), and he yelled from behind his partition, "SHE'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT!". Absolutely the rudest customer service. The entire staff couldn't be more imposed upon that there are customers in there and they aren't shy about blatantly showing their annoyance. While trying to answer mumbled and rushed questions from the front desk another employee barged in front of me while on the phone reaching across the desk to grab something. When i asked the employee to repeat her question since i couldn't hear with someone in between us loudly on their phone she openly rolled her eyes in front of the entire staff and all customers there. Everyone has a bad day or two but this is obviously culturally appropriate in this place to do it so openly. Schumacher European sent me over to them, but their service is so openly adversarial and curt the juxtaposition-between the companies couldn't be more obvious. read more

Bob spent a good portion of our conversation talking about how he's having to do the insurance companies job and then told me to take pictures of the car for the insurance company. Bob's estimate was quick but seemed high. I took my car across the street and their estimate was 1/5 Bob's. Also for the number of labor hours Bob listed in the estimate compared to far fewer at shop across the street my car was going to be with them for weeks vs a few days. read more

If you need collision repair for your Tesla, avoid Raintree and go with the Tesla Collision Center in Tempe. Raintree's initial repair estimate was overly padded, about $8,000 more than my insurance company's estimate. Raintree assumed that the driver-at-fault's insurance had enough coverage and charged a body labor rate that was double my insurance's body labor rate. In addition, Raintree padded the repair list with unnecessary items (e.g., damage was localized to the right doors and rear quarter panel but the front right repeater lamp was listed needing replacement; 10 units of tape was listed for a single trunk spoiler, etc.). In the end, my insurance covered the repair cost and made Raintree reduce the cost by about 45%. Raintree's communication was not professional. When I asked about my car's repair status, Raintree (Bob) replied that they would work on it "tomorrow" or "next week"; they did not for nearly a month. After the repairs were finally completed (~90 days), I asked when my car would be ready. Bob replied that they would not release my car until my insurance paid a last-minute supplement of $21.50. I contacted my insurance for clarification, and my adjuster stated that there was no reason for Raintree to hold my car for ransom, especially for $21.50. I wound up paying that $21.50 on top of my deductible so I wouldn't have to wait any longer. Raintree eventually got the $21.50 from my insurance but never issued me a refund, so they basically stole my money! The repair quality is a mixed bag. The good: (1) the paint is flawless; and (2) the spoiler is perfectly attached. The bad: (1) the tint on my front and rear passenger windows was removed even though the glass was reused; (2) the tint on my rear quarter window was damaged; (3) the weather stripping on the front and rear passenger doors was misaligned, letting in wind noise; (4) the B pillar is slightly bent; (5) my hood was not damaged by the collision, but after the repair, I found scuff marks all along the edges, presumably because the hood was removed placed on the ground without protection; (6) the door handles are inset too far; (7) the rear seat was not clipped in fully; (8) the Dual motor and Performance badges were not attached; (9) interior surfaces had grit on them, as if they were exposed to the outside elements for a long time; (10) trunk molding on the damaged side is loose due to a detached clip; and (10) trash was left in my car. Thankfully, I immediately spotted the issues and asked for assistance from a tech. The tech attached the Dual motor badge, but I had to ask a second time for the Performance badge. As for the misalignment issues, I came back another day to resolve them. Raintree fixed the weather stripping but couldn't do anything about the misalignments due to tight tolerances. My insurance covered the retinting. My experience with Raintree was mediocre...3 stars out of 5. But I deducted 1 star because Raintree ransomed my car for $21.50. Verdict: I do not recommend this place to anyone with a Tesla needing collision repair. read more

In April 2022 I sustained what I thought were deep scratches in the parking lot of Costco. I took my car( Land Rover) to Raintree Auto Body. I met with Brett who looked at damage and told me I would need to replace two panels for a total of $1,800+. However,wait time for appointment was 4 MONTHS! I agreed. In August, I took my car in and this time I met with Trevor. Thank goodness I met with him. He looked at car, came back with a buffer and within 15 minutes my car damage was gone. Looked like new. Having moved to Arizona in 2004 with our teenage daughter we have had occasions to take our vehicles to Raintree Auto Body. I recently had the oddest of odd accidents, my garage door started closing while I was backing in catching the antenna on my 2019 Lexus RX350. I live in Fountain Hills and Raintree is far from local and the labor price is not fully covered by Geico but given our past experiences opted to bring it there. The entire process was seamless and painless in no small measure due to Kara Meek and her partner Bob Casper negotiating the claim process. I received my car back in outstanding condition, the repair was perfect. They're not the cheapest, they're not the quickest but they are far and away the best. read more

I recently was rear-ended in my Mercedes ML 350 and decided to go outside the insurance companies recommendation because Raintree Auto Body states on their website they are "The Only Tier 2 Certified Mercedes Benz Repair Facility in the State of Arizona." I was getting ready to sell my vehicle and wanted to make sure that official parts were being used to repair my bumper. I was able to obtain a quote fairly quickly by an in-person meeting and gave it to the third parties insurance companies. I did not hear from either the insurance company or the auto body shop for a few days, so I reached out to the insurance company and finally got permission to drop off the vehicle. When I dropped off the vehicle my Feb 18th, the woman at the desk asked me to confirm my contact information. I noticed she had the wrong cellphone number written down. I let her know and made the changes to the document she handed to me. I was told it would take five days to repair the vehicle. Photos were taken up the arrival of my vehicle from all angles. Five days came and went, and no update, so I had to reach out to the repair facility to find out that they still had not received the parts and it would be another week. Another week came and went, and no update. I then reached out to Raintree again, and they said they were waiting on payment and that it "should" be available on Monday. I reached out to the insurance company to let them know that I still had the rental and maybe Monday. Monday came and went, and no call. I called Tuesday morning, and they said they had tried to reach me the prior day which I had no missed calls or voicemails. When I picked up my vehicle on March 9th I found out that they still had the wrong number on their computer. SO much for having me correct my information, I guess it's not an important detail to have your customer's phone number. I get in my car and turn it on and notice that my gaslight is on which seemed odd considering I had a quarter tank of gas when I dropped it off and my driver's front tire was reading at 20psi. It was close of business and I just wanted to get gas, get air in my tire, and go home. I did both of those and drove home. When I got home and was further inspecting my vehicle I noted that there was a large crack in the windshield that was hiding behind my rearview mirror that was not there prior to dropping off and did not happen on my way home. I had my windshield replaced in Dec and would have known if I had a crack. It was too late to call the shop so I waited until my lunch break the next day. I asked to speak with the manager and the woman on the other end asked me to hold. When she returned to the phone she stated that the manager was eating lunch and said he would call me later in the day. I'm glad his lunch is more important than speaking to a customer who was dissatisfied. The manager did call me back about an hour later and listened to my multiple concerns: gaslight being on, cracked windshield (which I replaced in Dec), and low tire pressure. I was highly concerned that someone drove my vehicle since it appeared based on the mileage that over 30 miles were driven on my vehicle while at their shop. He condescendingly responded that they move the vehicle every morning and evening to another lot around the corner and that explained the mileage. And that more than likely my crack was there and it just spread from sitting in the sun. There is no way that driving it around the corner and back would equal that kind of mileage and the fact that the pre pictures that were taken by them showed no evidence of damage to my windshield. The manager told me to bring the vehicle in so they could take a look at the windshield etc. which I did the same day. They gave me lip service that everything needs to be run through the owner and they would be in touch. The next day I received a call from the shop stating that the owner was not going to repair my windshield or take care of anything else. He felt that I had insurance and would not have any out-of-pocket expenses and they had no comment regarding the mileage etc. Yes, I have insurance but my insurance company reminded me that windshield replacement is comprehensive and counts as points against me and that I just had it replaced. It's not worth taking this company to small claims but I will never use this shop ever again. Other than fixing my bumper, they lack customer service skills and don't treat your vehicle well while in their care. I plan to tell everyone I know that drives a Mercedes never to use this shop and to spread the word. read more

I'm sure I could have had a worse experience but I can't imagine it. If you can't stomach working with liars, thieves and incompetent people, than I suggest taking your car elsewhere. The fact that these guys are the only authorized McLaren shop in town makes me sick. I caught them lying multiple times about why my car took four months to fix a headlight and the front bumper. The lack of transparency between the client, the dealer and the insurance company was criminal. They did tons of work that I did not authorize and that the insurance company did not authorize but knew that I would end up paying for it because they could just hold my car hostage. At the end of it all, I ended up having to send a wire (they wouldn't accept a credit card) for $10,000 to get my car back. $10,000 for work that was not approved or requested by anyone. I'd rather send my car out of state than let Raintree Autobody work on my car. read more
