Definitely start with the queso frito. It's a definite hit. We had churrasco steaks with gallo pinto (rice and red beans) with tostones and a salad. You can definitely enjoy the fresh juices there as well. The waitstaff was very helpful and checked on us frequently. This is a nice, casual atmosphere in a covered outdoor scene that is seemingly always buzzing. It's a good place for a casual, affordable meal.

Rice and peas was the only good thing from there. Grilled fish nasty the chicken wasn't good either. Service was good person was attentive. Place is convenient since in mall. Chill place. Fish need to be cooked longer

A lunch stop while running our yearly shopping tirade at Dolphin mall. We enjoyed our outdoor seating to gander at all the crowded action and shared an appetizer and platter. The fish and chips app was well done, nice and crispy. Our platter of churasco with bacon wrapped shrimp and fries hit the spot it's a great sharing dish. Washed it down with a Modelo Negro before we continued our step challenge back to the car.

The shrimp was luke warm but flavored nicely. The corn tortillas were stuck together, and when I tried pulling them apart, they ripped. The black beans were more black bean soup than black beans, it was like 95% liquid. The white rice was just ok. It came with some red salsa that was quite spicy but good none the less. I'm not sure I'd ever go back.

Great place to stop in for a meal while out shopping around. Most of the servers speak Spanish and Portuguese which helped us in with communication greatly.

Inside the cool of the a/c... they also have tables outside

This restaurant is about 3 1/2 ... pretty good for what it is. We've been coming here for more than 15 years and stop in for lunch most times we visit the Dolphin Mall. It's in an entrance with a bunch of other restaurants and can get lost in the shuffle. It hasn't changed much over the years --- and probably could use an update. But you don't come here for the ambiance, just solid Latin food -- especially their churasco. They have the same menu for lunch as for dinner with no lunch specials. They will push the "baby" churasco steak (6 oz)and that is what we've gotten most times as we've run in and out before a work assignment. This time, we figured out we could order a bigger steak and share it. Their medium size is 10 oz and their large or "presidente" was even bigger. So for less money than two baby steaks, we ordered the large churasco steak and split it. We also shared two sides that come with it -- we chose moros (beans & rice mixed) and maduros (fried sweet plantains). Now that I recall, I think one of the reasons we each ordered separately in the past, was cause I was craving their thin French fries or maybe some white rice instead. But you can always add an extra side for a small fee, The steak came out perfectly cooked to medium as ordered along with an extra plate. We split the order to taste. On the table they have condiment jars -- one with hot sauce, one with marinated onions and jalapeños, and the third with traditional green chimichurri sauce, my favorite. Chimichurri has oil, garlic, and parsley mixed together. Different countries have their own mix adding cilantro and/or oregano and sometimes vinegar as well as hot pepper flakes, etc. It's not usually spicy, but always adds a bit of flavor pizzazz to any meat. For dessert, we shared a caramel flan. Their flan is one of the better ones. None of that cheesecake texture here -- just creamy pudding over a burnt sugar syrup.

    Creamy garlic pasta with chicken

My favorite thing about Charcoals is the chimichurri sauce. The skirtsteak is cooked well, but doesn't have a whole lot of flavor by itself. We also ordered the creamy garlic chicken pasta and it was mediocre - really creamy (which doesn't bother me) and pretty plain. It was better once I added some hot sauce though. The "garlic parmesan" bread it comes with (which I was super excited for) was nothing more than lightly buttered Cuban toast. When it came time to pay the bill, I presented the Yelp discount on my phone that popped up when I checked in. Our waitress (who was friendly, by the way) said she's never seen that before so had to bring my phone to the back to consult the manager. After maybe 10 minutes, she came back with the check minus the discount. I had to remind her that my phone was still being held in custody before getting it back. So yes, we got the discount but no, I didn't feel comfortable with my phone being taken to an undisclosed location for an extended period of time. It also took a good while before we got our change back.

Her customer service and attention to detail was awesome, ensuring she stopped by multiple times throughout to top off water and check on my experience. I went with the grilled Chicken breast and double side of tostones which tasted fantastic. Of note, I covered the tostones in the garlic like sauce while they were hot, which rendered them a fine combo of crunchy and somewhat soft- in short, awesome. Personally, no meal is finished without some form of coffee at the end. I admit this habit stems from my upbringing and a penchant for American, French and Italian fare but this was no different. I enjoyed a Cortadito which tasted amazing and had beautiful presentation. If I could rate this experience 6 stars I would. They knocked it out of the park. Note: They're FIU student, police and county friendly to boot.

Their menu is packed with bold, flavorful dishes, an impressive cocktail selection, and honestly, they were one of the places that got me through COVID! From the pizzas to the entrées, everything is outstanding. I celebrated my birthday here just last week, and as always, it was excellent. The churrasco is consistently tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The mushroom risotto is rich, creamy, and bursting with earthy mushroom goodness. For dessert, we shared the warm banana bread with salted caramel ice cream, and wow... I still can't stop thinking about it. Whether it's happy hour, lunch, dinner, or a special occasion, Finka never ever ever disappoints. After all these years, it's still one of my favorite spots in Miami, and I recommend it to everyone looking for a memorable lunch, dinner or happy hour, do it right and come to Finka.

Unfortunately, today was a very different experience. It took about five minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, even though the bar wasn't busy. I ordered an Old Cuban Old Fashioned, one of my favorites, and was surprised to see the bartender use his hands instead of tongs to put the ice into the glass. I ended up sending the drink back because the glass was dirty. The second drink was made by another bartender, and again, I noticed him using his hands instead of tongs to handle the ice. The food was still great, but after today's experience, I'll definitely be paying much closer attention to how my drinks are prepared. I've always had a great experience at Finka, which is why today was especially disappointing. I hope this was just an off day and not a change in their usual standards.

This restaurant is located in an unassuming stripmall. There is plenty of parking available. I didn't go in with any real expectations. We had 9 total people, so I wasn't sure if they'd be able to accommodate all of us. When we walked in you're greeted by a small counter where the staff is working quickly on orders and to-go orders. There are high top tables with seating and then lots of arcade games. The kids absolutely loved all the arcade games! I took a look at the menu and I opted to get a smash burger and fries. My husband got a smash burger and chili fries, and my kiddo got a smash burger and fries. You order at a kiosk, and then they call your order at the counter and you grab it. Everything came out hot. I was eager to dig into my burger and it was delicious! Not too big, not too small. The burger was flavorful. The fries were hot and crispy, with just enough salt. This place is a real gem. It's no frills, but great for kids and adults who love arcade games and burgers. Def recommend!

We split the chicken burrito and the truffle fries, which I'm glad we did because there is no way we could have eaten the whole thing. Portions are big! The burrito was covered in cheese, which gave it a nice crispy crunch on one side. Food was good, greasy as expected and giving a little food truck vibes. Their garlic cilantro sauce is fire!
