Love this jewelry store! This is a family-owned business that we have used for the past 15+ years. As this was his favorite location to use to buy me jewelry during our relationship, my fiancé and I decided it would only be fitting to use Charde to purchase our wedding bands! We have been working directly with the owner, Cliff, who has been a delight to work with so far. He has been incredibly helpful and accommodating in helping us design and choose which bands are right for us. Excited to see how everything turns out! Walking into this store feels comfortable and familiar. It doesn't have that uptight air that most jewelry stores have; you feel at ease. You can often find Tom Petty playing on the radio, and you are always greeted with a smiling (though masked!) face from the other side of the counter. Can't recommend this store enough. read more

Before my partner and I even met, I knew I wanted to use my mom's stone when I got married. When we were discussing options, I reached out to my aunt for a jeweler recommendation because I knew she would send me to the best. In November we went down to Chardé with some jewelry, a ton of ring screenshots, and knowing I wanted a vintage 1930s art deco look with yellow gold. That afternoon they had the rough draft of the design. A couple of weeks later they sent us the CAD to sign off on. Then, it was ready to pick up shortly after that. The center stone is from my moms ring. The bezel diamonds are from a ring of my grandmothers. The larger solitaires on each side are from earrings I gave my mom on her second to last Christmas. The wedding bands are hers. They were resized to fit me. Her fingers were tiny- size 5. When they did the CAD design, they designed it around the bands so it would stack properly. I'm still in awe of how it turned out. It's bigger than I thought it would be (that's what she said)- it is absolutely perfect and even better than I could have imagined. So for anything custom, Cliff at Chardé is a god among mortals- and every other employee there follows suit. read more

So happy to have a jewelry store like this in Houston! I was looking for a very specific pair of earring for myself and had placed a custom order with a different store in town. It took more than 9 weeks for them to come in and I had to follow up with the shop several times. When they arrived they were incorrect. I didn't end up purchasing from them and I instead went to Charde. They were able to to have my earrings made in a little over a week and they were perfect. The service is excellent and if they don't have what you are looking for in stock they can order it or have it made. Once I was in the store I ended up making a couple of additional purchases. Will definitely keep coming back and could not recommend this shop more. read more

Took my engagement ring here to have a bent prong repaired and had it back within the hour! Was so impressed with the speed and price of the repair. The customer service was genuinely friendly! Came here for a wedding band, not having purchased any custom jewelry for myself ever before. They gave me some measuring rings to use to measure my finger and then ultimately chose a size and I agreed since they're jewelers. When the piece came back it basically fell off my hand. Ok, things happen. They took it back and said they would resize it. Went back to pick it up and it basically fell off my finger again. At this point I was obviously upset and then explained that I needed their expert opinion and to size it correctly. The third time I came to pick it up it fit correctly. However they charged me a repair fee which they suggested they were going to waive after the second failed ring. Of all custom things I've purchased, sizing is on the person crafting the item. Never once has a tailor charged me an additional fee after a try-on. The ring is nice but the experience was unpleasant. The total lack of awareness for acceptable customer service will prevent me from shopping here again. read more

Just went here today for a quick gift. A friend recommended it - I didn't even know it existed right next to Abejas! I am in love - they have the best selection of so many different designers - local and abroad, fashion and fine jewelry (can't wait to get engaged and pick out a unique ring from here!). My personal favorites are their boho chic pieces from local jewelry designer Rebecca Lankford, as well as some Zoe Chicco pieces that are perfect for everyday wear and layering. They also have some pieces from different designers you can find at Neiman's and Saks - but I like the selection here better. I found some perfect Gurhan 24k gold earrings for my mom for Mother's day - killed two birds with one stone! A last-minute birthday gift for a friend AND I'm a month early for Mother's day... very unusual for me. Of course I also picked up a few necklaces for myself and even got a custom initial ring made. The people there are really helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. I even met the owner - who, after twenty something years of existence - STILL works at the store and it seems like he has a great relationship with his loyal customers. I visited Charde to pick up a christening gift for my goddaughter this week and was very happy with my experience! I had a great saleslady named Jennifer who helped me pick out the perfect gold cross for my newly baptized god daughter. We special ordered it and it came in a few days. Nice people, good service and high quality. That ought to be enough, but Charde, on my recent visit, really helped me. I had to buy a very special present and really didn't know what to get.
