I've held on to some of my grandmothers pieces for 30 years, lived all over the country and waited until I moved back to Houston to bring these other rings to be resized so I can look down and remember my grandmother is still with me. There's 9000 jewelry stores in Houston, but if you want something custom made, and feel weary about who you can entrust a family heirloom to, bring it here. I only have three tokens of my grandmother left after all of these years and I've entrusted Sethi's with all of them. All the things that I would grab if my house were on fire, I've left with them, that means trust and a customer for life. I'm certainly not a high roller, I'm just your average nurse who works really hard and wants to treat myself every once in a while to something pretty, but I've always been welcomed like I'm the only person in the store when I come in. I think everyone has that experience here and why they have such loyal customers. I can't wait to see how they fixed up an 80 year old ring today. Four days after purchasing the ring, the stone fell out during normal wear. A ring at that price should last much longer than four days. At that point, I no longer trusted the quality of their jewelry, which is why I requested a refund, not an exchange. Why would I exchange it for another ring if I had already lost confidence in their products? Instead of taking accountability, I was given the runaround. I was told people were on vacation and someone would call me when they returned. They're all back now, and I still haven't received a single phone call. When I told them my bank advised me to return the ring as part of the dispute process, they began closing the store earlier than their posted hours, making it impossible for me to return it after work. Then they told me they would never accept the ring back, that "that's not how banks work," and that I would never win my dispute. The employee I spoke with was incredibly dismissive and even implied that because I didn't buy an expensive ring, I shouldn't expect more. $334 is not cheap, and no customer should be made to feel like they're asking too much when a product breaks after only four days. I was also told their stones are not glued in, yet when mine fell out there was clearly adhesive on the setting. Rather than acknowledging a possible defect, they denied responsibility. The broken ring was disappointing, but the way I was treated was worse. A business should stand behind its products and treat customers with respect. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.

We have been working directly with the owner, Cliff, who has been a delight to work with so far. Shopping for a diamond was really daunting and stressful because of all the different specs, so I really appreciated how the DBD team took that on and even educated us along the way. We gave them our budget for the diamond and they came back with 3 choices for us to review and choose from. I was able to try on all 3 diamonds before deciding. From there we discussed band designs which were then created into 3D molds before we settled on the final product. The craft of the DBD team really shined (pun intended) when I got the ring. They really helped the diamond present itself in the best way. Everyone always comments how sparkly my ring is and the sparkle has been the same since Day 1.
