I recently had 2 great experiences at Charleston Fun Park. I took my class here for field trips this summer and everything was fun and very well organized. When contacting them to set up our visits, I communicated with Brian and Rachel, and both of them were helpful, accommodating, and prompt with their communication. The park typically opens at 11, but they offered to open at 10 for us to work with our tighter schedule. When we got there, they were patient with my young students and helped us get ready for golf. When we came in for lunch and activities, the table was already set with our plates, drinks, and pizza. There was no waiting around at all. They were also very helpful with the rides and other activities, as we did not use their usual token "cards" to pay for the experiences. The golf courses are fun, challenging, and well maintained. I will definitely come back to CFP and will recommend this place...for adults and kids, alike! read more

There are a few things that make this place really cool. The number one being that you can come here rain or shine! There is just as much fun to be had indoors as there is out. Another cool thing is that regardless of your age you won't be left out! They have 2 miniature golf courses to choose from, both with plenty of shade, and they will let you know which is better for the littler ones if you just ask. For the big kids, there is a go-kart track, and a climbing wall. Jump land is for the little ones, with inflatable jump castles and slide. There is also a small playground with benches near here. Kids of all ages will enjoy panning for treasure! Inside is where the sensory overload peaks! The arcade is filled with everything from racing games to air hockey, to an indoor climbing wall, to skeball, to a giant connect 4 game! You collect "tickets" on your loot card and trade them in for prizes when you are finished with your day of fun. If you don't use all of your tickets, no worries they will be on your card for next time! Blackbeard's has you covered with a pretty decent concession menu too! The staff is always so friendly and willing to help out with anything you need. You won't be disappointed! And if it's anything like my experiences have been, the kids will probably be asleep before you get home! Check their website for special events, especially during the summer months! This is a great spot to bring the kids, or act like a kid (I prefer the later). I've been a handful of times, but would most definitely go back. It is a pretty basic fun zone... it has an arcade where you can win tickets to redeem silly prizes, a go-kart track, and two mini golf courses. They have a little food stand that has a few adult beverage options - always a plus. Be careful when arcading with the kids... you find you'll go through the $$ rather quickly. Actually, be careful with WHOEVER you go with. It goes quick on the games (though they are fun). All in all, a solid afternoon stop for folks of any age. read more

Mutiny Pass was $25.00 per person, there is a untold family pass for $20.95 which gives you access to 2 hours of outdoor play. This included 3 jump houses, 2 putt putt courses, and go carts. Putt putt is not maintained at all. Leaves cover the courses. Bounce houses were empty so that was a plus for our 2 boys. Bathrooms were very nasty. Games are $1.00 each. Probably wouldn't return. read more

I like this place!!! Very fun for any age. They have a 2 hour 'mutiny pass', which allows you to ride go karts, play mini golf, rock climb, and go through the jump house if you are 12 and under for 2 hours. It was such a good deal. My party and I did many rounds of go karting and 1 round of mini golf. They also offer single tickets for the attractions, but it is way worth it for their 2 hour pass. They have a handful of arcade games. What was really cool was they served alcohol for anyone 21 and over. read more

I booked my son's birthday party here for his 5th birthday. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the taco bar for the adult guests and pizza for the kiddos. We got the Lil Buccaneer package which included 2 attractions, but unfortunately it was raining so the ones we originally wanted (jump castle and putt putt) weren't available. We ended up choosing gem mining (twice) and the kids loved it. After that they issued us $5 playing cards for the arcade and they just went wild. My son had so much fun. I can't wait for him to come back when the go karts are available. read more

Had a fun family outing to this establishment this weekend. This place has go-carts for the adults, a pretty cool miniature golf course and a jump castle for the kiddos. The go-carts and golf was fun but the best part of the day was when my 22 month old daughter wanted her daddy in the jump castle with her. Ahhh, her and I had so much fun jumping around and knocking all the other little tirds around like rag dolls! It was about 173 degrees outside, so luckily, the place has concessions with sodas, water, burgers and all kinds of real junk food. The water hit the spot. We'll definitely go back to terrorize more kids. read more

It's sad that these types of family fun parks are going by the wayside like they are! Blackbeard's looks like it used to be a great time, but it definitely has seen better days. They have two mini golf courses to choose from, both are pretty much the same. They made a weak attempt at theming the courses, but with no water in the fountains or hazards, it was pretty lame. The arcade inside is fun, albeit expensive. 50cents a round to play skee ball, and I think that was the cheapest game in there. I think it is very clear the youth of America have gone from playing outdoors to playing video games inside, and Blackbeard's is trying to make the most of that transition. If you are going for the arcade, I am sure you will have a great time. However, don't expect too much out of the mini golf! read more

Every summer, when we head out to the IOP...we inevitably visit Blackbeard's Cove (usually two or three times, TBH) and this year was no different. 1. Last year, they started the card system. This has continued. It's nice and convenient. Point of note, I was able to use the card we acquired last year for this year's trip. In fact, I still have it in my wallet as I type. 2. Again, the ratio of cost to game seems higher than other venues, but it makes the kiddos happy and that's what truly matters! Plus, it gives us time out of the sun! 3. The kiddos are always happy with their "prize" selections. Again, if they're happy, Mommy is happy! ;) All in all -- We'll most likely be back when in the area. read more

The place was safe and took precautions for covid. Everyone wearing masks, kept distance, and it seemed like they were sanitizing golf clubs for putt putt. We played 36 holes and it was okay. Nothing spectacular but still had a good time. It was nice that a couple food trucks came out too. read more

Arrrr - had a great time with me mateys here /piratetalk Blackbeard's Cove, or BBC, is a pretty large place. They've got package deals that include; put put (there are 2 different, 18-hole courses), go-karts, paintballl.... and there's an arcade inside. Everyone is my group purchased the 1 round of put put and 1 attraction deal; opting to go go-karting. The courses are very fun and definitely follow the pirate/island theme. Go-karting was good too; just a bit disorganized; we witnessed many people go through the line a second time without a second ticket and they didn't even check the tickets of me and my party. The arcade housed the usual; racing games, shooting games, air hockey, games that swindle your tokens from you, etc. All in all, it was a fun night. I definitely recommend. read more

This place wasn't great! It had been raining but was not raining at the time we were there but the golf and go carts were closed. Very disappointing. The employees were not really friendly and you had to track them down for help. Some of the arcade game prices were outrageous and the amount of tickets you had to have for a prize was unbelievable! A lot of the machines were not working with no signs posted and then you had to look for an employee to get credit back on the card. Also when we inquired about what they had they said could not come in without a mask and if you didn't have one they did not offer one. For a tourist community with guests from other states who might not know what is required for Covid I thought this was unprofessional. The employees didn't act like they cared if you came in or not. This is a fun park for kids, but it is expensive to have fun. Be prepared to spend at $40 to $50 per child because every fun activity is $7 per person. For 5 kids I spent $45 per child. I may or may not go back because the kids had fun but the cost hit my pocket hard. read more

Great fun, great prizes. Now with that said, I have a very important question about scoring on "Blackbeard's Cove". Hypothetically, if a player were to miss their shot on the 18th hole so badly that the ball bounced back to them would they be allowed to continue to play the ball, and potentially earn a score reduction, or would this be considered a "Miss = No Change in Score" situation? The miniature golf is very basic- hit the ball up a dogleg left or right with a ramp and into the hole. No tunnels, spinning wheels, etc. There are a bunch of water holes so be careful your small kids don't fall in the water. The "arcade" is a total rip off comprised of games of chance primarily - like win a PS4 game- which never happens- so my son wastes $1.50 pushing one button and the game doesn't even have any instructions on it like "once you love the lever right you can't move back left" - so we burned through $14 in about 3 minutes. The place was also under construction when we came here so call before you to waste your money. read more

I just had my first experience at Blackbeard's Cove in April of 2013 with a large group for an adult birthday party. We are all kids at heart so we thought it would be a fun place to go and just goof off and play. The selection of video games and entertainment inside was quite impressive. Also, a number of people ordered food which was very tasty and it was also nice that you could order beer and take it out on the mini golf course with you. The go-kart track was fairly simple but still provided some fun (even though we could not spin each other out no matter how hard we tried). Mini golf was a lot of fun and the course had a nice variety of holes. They unfortunately had not blown all the debris from the trees off the greens so it was a little bumpy but all and it was a fun experience. Went here to play Mini Golf. It felt small and cramped. Inside was also small in comparison to other places we have been out of state. Well its SC. I dont think anything is big here except for traffic. My children were bored after 30 min and insisted they would have more fun going to the beach. read more

Tweens love this place, especially on a raining day. All the games are top quality and look brand new. This place is clean and spacious. Kids can load $ on a "card" and collect points on the card for "prizes" later. There is a good menu for everyone, including an adult beverage for the parents. It didn't start off great-there was no setup for a line so it was a mob and although there were 2 registers, only one person was using a register. A second person was at the counter but she seemed unable to help anyone but when a third person arrived, he helped the people behind us first... With that being said, the kids had a great time-we bought the Mutiny pass which included a variety of activities (laser tag was shut down, however, due to refurbishment). They drove the go-karts, jumped in the bouncy castles, played putt-putt and tired themselves right out. I didn't get as many pics as I would have liked because the bugs were bad outside and I went inside to avoid more bites. read more

Blackbeard's Cove has a lot of potential but unfortunately it is unrealized. This review is mainly for the minitaure golf which our party felt was in need of cleaning and a little creativity. The course has 4 or 5 pre-set holes that the owners just recycled over and over again. The course also needs to be swept more often because leaves were all over it when we played. The price of this place is a deal though and I would love to come back and ride the go-carts! read more
