So this location is relatively new. It is in the spot that used to be a Sprint/T-Mobile store (next to Chipotle. Full disclosure, I've only been into a Charley's inside an airport so I was not expecting too much. I didn't realize there were more locations around. Anyways, the atmosphere inside was nice and the place was relatively clean. It also did not take much time to get my order at all! I ordered the standard 12" cheese steak minus the mushrooms. I also ordered their mozzarella sticks to check them out as well. Here is where I have some mixed opinions...while the cheese steak had a decent taste, it was more on the dry side. It didn't help that the mayo and cheese was on the lighter side which only added to the problem. Also, as a personal preference (no fault of the style of their cheese steaks), I wish the meat was cut into smaller pieces...almost diced and not strips. That being said, the other ingredients seemed fresh and were cooked well. I liked the pickle slices and onions were grilled well. Also, the mozzarella sticks were definitely on point! They didn't pop and have cheese leaking out like other places. They were not over salted as well. The cheese was firm and could actually be bitten into pieces rather than having to fight a continuous river of cheese pouring out. Overall, I'd say this place is decent. A bit on the pricey side for what I got (~$17). However, I think I will return at some point to try the wings and maybe give the cheese steak another shot. But seriously, if you go and like mozzarella sticks...You won't be disappointed in the quality. 3 Stars...

I got the Roseda Roast after seeing it in Bethesda magazine. Definitely worth the $16 in terms of size and taste. Also got the Godzilla and it is a beast! When I picked up my food it took a while before someone came over to the counter, and I had to speak up to be serviced, so expect to ask for service. Ambiance is a tiny shop feel, so if you're hoping to eat there, you need to find a bench outside. Still, for the price and taste, this is a must visit in my book.

The service is always bad and the food is expensive so the least they can do is get the order right. When you walk in no one acknowledges you even if you're the only customer there. When they finally do they act as if they're doing you a favor by taking your order...no smile, no welcome in...nothing. One time I was there, several people were in the store and the workers were laughing and talking behind the counter. About three minutes went by before I asked if someone could hand me my order. Right after that a customer who had been there before me asked if they could order, so there's no telling how long they had been waiting before I spoke up. It's never a pleasant experience. It's a local neighborhood spot so I try to support but at this point they're playing in my face.

Parking is challenging at peak times. The selection of baked goods is varied and fresh. The line to buy items can get long. There's a decent-sized space to "eat-in", should you want. The sweet potato/chili/pistachio bialy is quite a creation, really like it, zings big time. I've never seen that flavor combo in a bialy before and hope they keep making it. The gingerbread with meyer lemon glaze has a very deep ginger flavor that's quite memorable. Not as keen about the breads. The community sandwich loaf is too plain for me and the sourdough breads are tame.

The parking lot is crowded and a bit of a mess. Coming on a weekend meant waiting in line, and it was not a speedy line. The selection was interesting, but they were struggling to keep up with demand. I ordered the last piece of multiple styles of baked goods, which I suspect was upsetting for the people behind me but which was a decision that worked out well for the recipients of my haul. The loaf was richly sour and the butter I got with it tasted cultured, the other pastries and things I tried didn't quite leave the same impression. Maybe coming at a less busy time yields a better selection.

I went back to my hotel that I will be staying at for 10 months or more every week. I went to Potbelly as I barely ate today. I could not get served. Period. I waited in line, and there were three employees. The woman in front of me had some online order. The one dude went in the back forever. The other two employees are just running around. I just waited and waited. When nobody would ever come make me a sandwich I just had enough. I went to another restaurant near by and got food. I'm going to be here in College Park for 10 months staying at a hotel living on Per Diem for food. I give out a lot of repeat business for food, and Potbelly would be on the list for 2-3 times a week. That is now out. If I can't get served or it takes so long to get a sandwich I just won't go there. There is a lot of money that will be going to other near by restaurants. To my surprise, they had the biscoff chicken & waffle available for dinner too, so of course I had to try it and it was delicious. The chicken was flavorful and the waffle was well made (just the right amount of crispness). There was a biscoff cookie on top of the whipped cream and biscoff butter on the waffle, but the butter didn't add much in terms of flavor. The mac and cheese is solid and plentiful. They also participate in restaurant week so you can get a good amount of food for $35. However the sweet potato bread pudding was bland. The servers were very friendly and patient so the overall experience was enjoyable. The College Park restaurant is small so I recommend making a reservation especially for brunch so you don't have as long of a wait.

However, I would say that the music plays from a little Bluetooth on the corner of the restaurant and it's not the greatest quality, would cut in and out, and it was just blaring way too loud, making it hard to have regular conversations. Service wasn't too bad overall. There was only one weight staff who had all the tables in the restaurant which made her spread out pretty thin. But we wouldn't get regular refills or Water and took so long to get water (waiting up to 20 min to try to get her attention) and at the end of our time together she finally gave us a pitcher of Water, but a little late as we're most done. Also, it took a while to get basic things we had ordered coffee but either she forgot to bring us coffee or she didn't ring it in and we weren't able to get it until after our food was delivered. So service, while she was friendly and kind, our service was definitely subpar. Hopefully this wasn't bc she had automatic tip bc our party was so large for her lack of service. 1/5 for service The food was amazing for the most part. I had gotten the salmon BLT and it was moist and tender with good flavor and seasoning, and the bread had a great texture and flavor to it as well. The bacon was nice and smoky and the sauce that was paired with it made it great. The hashbrowns were so crispy and seasoned with great flavor and salt! This was a winner! 4.5/5 Yeah, I got a bunch of other dishes, but I only tried small bites here and there of other people stuff. What I would say, is that the Cajun pasta shrimp was cooked perfectly and was tender and had great flavor! And that sauce was amazing! The sausage I tried wasn't the best but decent! We got biscuits and wings as appetizers, and the wings were great, good flavor, good crunch, and a decent size. However, there needs to be more wings in the order for the price. The hot honey sauce as good! 4/5 The biscuits were pretty moist and had a great texture and consistency, You get two for the order! 4/5 Overall, the food is pretty amazing. However, the service was pretty bad. Maybe this was a one off but just prepared for a long waits for everything from water to getting a drink order.
