Tiny amount of meat for the price. Large piece of bread. Poor quality. Would not eat here again. Service was lackluster.

Charley's Cheesesteaks remind me of the good old days. I would choose Charley's Cheesesteaks sandwiches over Subways. They have tastier sandwiches and their service is better than Subways. They always have a line but what surprises me is that there's only 2 locations available to civilians since the other 2 locations are inside a military base. The one on Ala Moana inside the food court. It's definitely filled with lots of noises from so many customers looking to buy foods from a variety of restaurants. What's great is that they have a huge dinning space so you're always able to find a table and chair. I got Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It looks simple but pack with flavors. I got it paired with their Cheese and Bacon Fries. It was sooo cheesy and bacon yummy!!! I forgot to take a picture but I got my meal paired with strawberry lemonade. It's sweet, tangy and a perfect combination to stimulate your tastebuds. Thank you for reading my review. Have a great weekend!

Closer view of the KIMCHI FRIES

I walked by Charleys Cheesesteaks at the Ala Moana Center (AMC) food court on the street level, with my walking buddy today. My buddy was picking up lunch at a nearby establishment for her mom. I walked around and I spied a "New Item" promotional sign at Charleys Cheesesteaks for Kimchi Fries. Hmmm. I really enjoyed the Wagyu Kimchi fries from Seoul Mix 2.0, in the Lanai food court at AMC, so I thought I should give it a try! I ordered the fries and waited a while for my order. I asked the employee who took my order if she tried it yet. She shrugged her shoulders. That should've been my first clue. When I picked up my order, I opened it to take a Quick Look. Please compare my photos with the one taken from Charleys Cheesesteaks website. The description is provided as well. It did not look good. It was like viewing an explosive volcano of goopy cheese sludge and sauce over fries. Look very carefully and you may observe what looks like diced onions, however, I think that's the kimchi. My walking buddy and I took a taste, as it was very hot and "fresh". Hard stop now! Yuck! It was sour tasting and the "cheese" did NOT taste like cheese. It was a very odd and off flavor sauce covering of the fries. It did not taste at all like kimchi and gochujang. I can't really adequately explain the flavor, other than it tasted like a sour tasting spicy sauce of liquified gochuchang, goopy "cheese", vinegar, salt, ketchup and onions? We both refused to eat anymore after our first taste. The fries were taken home for my hubby to try. He will usually try and eat anything I bring home. He tried it and after a bite , the entire container of kimchi fries met its end. Tossed into our rubbish can. I cannot recommend this "new item". Service: 3/5 stars Ambiance: 2/5 stars (Food court atmosphere and not very clean) Food: 1/5 stars

Love how they load each sandwich with lots of meat, every bite is perfect. From the flavor to the service! Love how they make your order right In front of you. So if you're looking for a savory filled sub, this is the place to get it!!

Got the Oldschool Cheesesteak sandwich. And dang let me just say that this is my favorite philly cheesteak sandwich I have had thus far!! Perfect amount of meat, cheese, and savory sauteed onions. They have options of a 6 inch, 9 inch, or a 12 inch sandwich. It's located in ala moana's food court and they have a kiosk next to the cashier if u want to customize and order on the side at your convenience. The only reason why I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that parking at ala moana isnt the best. And I'd only be able to come here if I ever go to ala moana for errands/shopping (which is not that often) Please open up another store somewhere else on island :)

Today I got to try the Large Philly Cheese Steak and it was very tasty & fresh. They cooked in right in front of me and they were so friendly and efficient.

Friday night dinner at the Ala Moana food court led one of us to Charley's Cheesesteaks, and honestly, it was a bit of a letdown. The service was...lackluster. The employees weren't exactly rude, but they definitely weren't friendly. It felt like we were inconveniencing them, which isn't a great feeling. I get it, it was late on a Friday and they were probably tired, but customer service still matters. Then there's the price. Being in Ala Moana, we expected a bit of a markup, but the cost was surprisingly high for a single cheesesteak. It just felt overpriced. As for the sandwich itself? It was...fine. Nothing special. I've definitely had better cheesesteaks, and at that price, I was expecting a lot more. It was just an average sandwich, and that's disappointing.

I haven't had a real cheesesteak in close to 5 years since moving here 2.5 years ago from LA so I thought I would try this place out. I tried the regular size kim chee cheesesteak combo, which was slightly under $20. I hate to say it but it wasn't anything remarkable. It was a star above anything from Subway. The sandwich roll was on the chewy side, like either it was not that fresh or it had been slightly microwaved to keep the sandwich hot. The flavors from the kim chee, cheese and beef were there but nothing to bring home about. I just finished it about 10 minutes ago and I honestly can't remember it enough that I have something to write about. The amount of food in the sandwich did not match what was shown on the sign advertising this limited item offering so that is a definite deterrent if I want a cheesesteak again next time. I was looking forward to the fries since they looked like thick cut fries. Although the fries were hot, they were bland and it seemed like it was cooked from "frozen" or "fresh frozen." Adding ketchup did not help it any. Hahaha! It's in the food court of Ala Moana so no need to write about that. The service was "meh." My order was called and the server didn't even give any napkins. She gave it only when asked. Like who works as a server and doesn't check something as easy as giving napkins when you know the food you're selling is a bunch of finger foods? Anyways, most places around aren't home runs when it comes to flavor so it's just middle of the road. I started giving it 3 stars but after thinking about the chewy bread, seemingly cooked from frozen fries, slightly below average customer service, and chintzy amount in the sandwich, I downgraded it to two stars.

The best, most comforting yet healthy food at the best price point in the entire Ala Moana main food court!! I love their sandwiches and their gourmet fries with cheese, ranch sauce, and bacon bits!! Very satisfying and delicious memorable!! Great staff and great vibe!!

    Meat to bread ratio

$17 for a Philly that wasn't filled with the meat, peppers and extra mushrooms. More bread than anything.

    Heidi K.

Chicken California sandwich, regular size. It had a lot of chicken. Messy to eat - get lots of napkins. Also got the bacon/cheese fries and regular fries. Along with the cheesesteak sandwich. My family inhaled their sandwiches before I could take a picture, along with the fries. The regular fries were a little dry. But I liked that they had the skin on.

    Chicken Teriyaki & Fries
    Jarod H.

Five stars. Recommended. Always a good hot, fresh, and delicious sub sandwich at Charley's Cheesesteaks. I love the chicken breast subs, especially the teriyaki one. The chicken is grilled fresh on the grill, right in front of you. The sub is then made after that and served hot to you. The fries are made fresh and hot. It's a thicker cut fry, so it has a different texture to the thin fries at other fast food joints. It's good! All in all, if you want a hot fresh chicken sub and fries, Charley's is the place to be!

I love this sandwich. They used to have menu of Jalapeño cheese steak sandwich but there is no menu now. But server told me, can add Jalapeños cooking with steak. Sounds good. Very very good service, and very efficient friendly service. I always love this place. Sandwich? Yes. Of course, so delicious fresh made, beef steak, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, pickles and jalapeños. French fries, freshly cooked, hot and crispy. I love this place. Price is not bad with quality of food and service. At work I shared with my team, they loved it too. I come here very often. I never get tired. I am addicted. Ha Ha Ha...

Chicken Philly- get the beef, it's better!

The food was absolute garbage and I do not recommend wasting your money here. My order was through Door Dash and even if it wasn't, even if I picked it up myself and ate it right off the stove I don't think this experience would have been any better than it was. I actually spit this disaster out into the trash. . . The bread and meat were and flavorless and the vegetables were just SATURATED in oil. As a matter of fact oil was the only flavor I could discern from my sandwich, it left such a horrid after taste in my mouth that I had to brush my teeth. A catchy name and professional pictures aren't enough, you actually have to be able to put out the food and unfortunately they don't seem to understand that. I cannot emphasize how much I regret the decision I made to order from this place. -500/10

I thought it might be a scam but thankfully there were confirmed orders on Yelp.my husband ordered a bunch of stuff: Mac and cheese burger, chicken sandwich (for me), fried pickles, French fries, steak and cheese spring rolls, bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. I was surprised how quick the order came to our hotel room-30 min! Food temperature - The food overall Luke warm. Obviously it's going to loose some heat with delivery. Taste - the fried pickles were standard tasting. The dill ranch was very good with it. The chicken sandwich had no taste. I don't know if it was because the chicken was thick but whatever seasoning it was coated in or sauce on the sandwich, there was no flavor. I even added some of the dill ranch to my sandwich and no improvement even though the sauce was very flavorful by itself. My husbands Mac and cheese cheese burger had no flavor besides the bacon. He said the best part was the Mac and cheese which I didn't get any of once he handed me the rest of his burger. The fries were good but would have been amazing fresh. The jalapeño poppers were flavorful along with the spring rolls. Nacho cheese came with the spring rolls and a spicy tasting ketchup. Good selection of sauces. Convenience- My husband wanted extra ranch and there was no way to add that on the door dash app and calling them was ineffective. Could be problematic if an order was incorrect or missing items. Overall - for a restaurant with flavor town in its name there was very little flavor in half our food. Disappointed by that fact. Service was quick but they wouldn't deliver it to the room. Might depend on door Dash drivers since our order last night was able to come to our hotel room. but since it seems most are ordering through the app that might be a deciding factor for some.

How could this possibly be true, but yet so elaborate? I went online to see if this was a scam and there was a mention that he is doing this ghost kitchen concept in about 23 cities to help the restaurant business through the pandemic. Then, I did see this pop up on food delivery apps (door dash) and then looked up where the ghost kitchen could possibly be - which turned up to be Buca di Beppo in ward. Knowing this made me feel so much better. The downside of this is that it's delivery only - so your food might arrive cold (which it did). I had to reheat some of my sides in the air-fryer. The second downside is that because it's delivery - you have to pay an additional delivery fee and tip so it does come out more than expected. For 2 burgers, 1 appetizer, and 2 fries came out to $50. After delivery fees and tip was about $66 which is a little pricey In my opinion. The delivery came out of post mates when you put in the order through the link on yelp. The delivery person was in a unmarked car but there was this link they send you after you place your order to see the progress (and they were late by 10 mins also). What I ordered was the following- Bourbon wings (award winning) and definitely the star of everything I ordered. It is about $13 for half dozen wings and comes with a side of ranch that had a nice dill taste to it. Fried pickles (6-7$) and was on the spicy side a little. There wasn't much in there and also arrived warm/cold. Fries ($5) had good texture and flavors but was cold! I had to reheat them in the air fryer. Chicken sandwich ($12) was huge and was tasty. I'm sure it would have been awesome if we got it fresh. Mac and cheese burger ($13) was also huge and held up better than the chicken sandwich. I would probably get the burger over the chicken sandwich. It was definitely filling and we have leftovers for tomorrow. Do also note there's no additions or substitutions to your order.

Delectable Southeast Asian and Filipino-inflected food, skillfully crafted to highlight the fresh ingredients! Check the menu for daily specials; ongoing offerings include bowls with different protein options, pickled veggies, salad, and rice; banh mi, beverages, and various desserts. We sampled a wide assortment of food and unanimously agreed everything was delicious: banh mi with lemongrass tofu, banh mi with tender, flavorful brisket, crisp truffle-parmesan fries. I loved my lemongrass chicken bowl: extremely flavorful and bright marinade, moist chicken, topped with (I think!) crispy shallots, and served with a generous helping of Vietnamese-style do chua: pickled carrots and daikon, on a base of pristine mesclun greens with a side of wonderful tangy, creamy Asian-style dressing (had turmeric, sesame, rice vinegar, and maybe a touch of miso in it?) and aromatic, mouthwatering `olena rice: coconut rice seasoned with turmeric, cinnamon, lemongrass, and cloves. The plantation iced tea and Filipino lemonade were wonderful, but for something even more special, try the refreshing Royal Filipino Lemonade, made with caramelized diced fresh pineapple, calamansi, and butterfly pea: beautiful to behold and to sip! As a family that loves to cook, we're super-picky about our banana bread, but the banana-poi bites were splendid: not overly sweet and perfectly springy, with just the right hint of vanilla to complement the fresh banana and taro flavors. We took home a delicious vegetarian soba salad for later! Food is available to take out or eat in the A/C food court, and OlenaHi also does catering.
