For cocktails, my husband ordered the Mango Sunshine & I ordered the Cucumber Mojito. Both were refreshing & tasted good overall, but did seem quite weak. For dinner, my husband ordered the braised short rib from the Specials menu & I ordered the lamb chops, one of my absolute favorite foods. I ordered the lamb chops medium rare & they were quite overdone, with the last one I tried to eat being well done. The brussels sprouts on the other hand were quite underdone, and were solid to the point that I couldn't even stick my fork through them. I asked for asparagus as a replacement, which ended up being underdone as well. My husband felt his mashed potatoes were too salty & that his broccoli was cooked into mush, but had no issues with the short rib. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly, & the complimentary biscuits were absolutely delicious. Overall, for the high prices they charge at this establishment, it is absolutely not worth it. I do not think we will be returning.

Driving North from Florida, we wanted dinner and preferred not fast food, but good food served efficiently. Well we hit that out of the park by ending up at The Oil Lamp. My friend had the chicken & mashed potatoes (these are the real deal!!). I had the beef tips on gravy over mashed potatoes. We shared sides of braised cabbage that had a fair amount of garlic - I will be thinking about it, yes thinking about cabbage - first time for everything. We also shared creamed corn and this is NOT from a can. The corn was so sweet and there was a crunch to it, which only fresh corn can give. Everything looked delicious. I eyed those desserts, but I'd finished my plate and just no more room. I live like 4 hours away, but I'm hoping to time my return trip to return to this gem. This isn't fancy, it's good food that has been cooked by chefs that know how to cook old school. Last note - generous portions.

Upon entry, you go to the right to get in line and order. There is a sign with daily specials (you can also check out their Facebook page!). Up first are the trays and silverware and then the salad bar. After that are some entrees and sides they dish out for you. We ordered the rib-eye meal which comes with a side and bread but you can add whatever you want! I think it was $29, which at first seemed a little expensive, but my brother and friends assured me was definitely worth it! We also grabbed a drink and some dessert. All of the employees were very kind and welcoming. We went right at 5 on a Thursday evening so there was plenty of seating. The tables were big and there was room for all 10 of us (that's why we went early!) The food...was amazing! The steak was PERFECT. I asked for it medium and it was medium. So tender and flavorful! My brother wasn't lying when he said it was worth it. I also had the loaded mashed potatoes - excellent, biscuit-yummy, and the chocolate peanut butter pie- OH MY! I will definitely be returning to this establishment. We really enjoyed it.

My husband and I were looking for a place that was dog-friendly and had good drinks and food. Well well well, winner winner chicken dinner! When walking in, you're greeted by a friendly host or hostess. They saw our pup and showed us to the patio. It was a nice day so the temperature was wonderful and they even had dog bowls of water sitting out. The patio had TVs but we're not into football and just found something to watch on our phone. The waiter was phenomenal and very attentive but not overbearing. He made suggestions about the drink menu and was considerate to the fact that I drink virgin drinks only. The patio was relatively enclosed with screens to keep flies away. Regarding the food, it's an easy menu with not too many options. This keeps ticket times down and food comes out quick and hot. I had a quesadilla and my husband had the blackberry burger. It was absolutely delicious! The waiter even brought out a piece of bacon for our dog on a little platter. It really is the little things. We will definitely be back!

Well... the burgers look better than they taste. The patty does not have enough beef (or maybe not good quality beef?), which was dry for some reason and somewhat crumbly. Also, I'm meh with most beer, which I feel is the main pro of this place. There are TVs around for those who want to watch the games and drink beer, so I can say I'm most likely not the crowd this place is trying to draw. There are other places to chill with friends that have better food imo. Oh, and the ranch is watery. The chipotle ranch too. Choose a different dipping sauce unless they've changed it since I've last been. I know it's my bad for choosing boneless wings, but if Korean fried chicken places can keep them juicy, so can every other establishment. The ones here are dry. Notably, they do all day happy hour on Sundays. That's fun.

It was very easy to locate in the Kroger shopping center, so parking was very easy. It was lunch time when I walked in...there were a few people seated by not many. The menu was large and easy to ready. The interior was clean but the floor was very sticky. Since it looked so clean, I imagine it was the soap they were using but it was the only thing that I didn't LOVE about this place. I could have called ahead for a large order of chicken livers but it really didn't take that long. (And it was only $7 for a huge portion.) This was one of the few places that didn't make me buy a meal just for chicken livers. The gentleman that took my order was very nice. We had a sort of blind taste test when I got home (I knew where they all came from but the rest of my family did not.) Mrs. Betty's was unanimously voted as the BEST chicken livers!!! My parents will definitely be coming back here, probably at least once a month!

The chicken -- I got dark meat, natch -- was incredibly juicy and the seasoning was done with a light enough touch that you could taste both the seasoning and the meat. My sides were collards and fries, and both were very well-seasoned. The fries were nice and just crispy enough on the outside, and the collards came in a wonderful pot liquor. Service was wonderful, with polite, helpful staff. My only issue was that the cornbread was a bit dry. But they hit it out of the park with the other three, so it's a minor quibble. The whole meal with a drink came out to around fourteen dollars, which was itself a pretty good deal. All told, it was a good meal and I'll definitely be back here in the future.

Matthew was our server and we were never offered bread although the small plates were present at the table. The server Savannah was extremely pleasant and came through and saved this evening. But yet I was questioned when I asked for my steak to be medium. It was pretty crowded and the service reflected that. He seemed really aggravated at our table but we saw him chuckling it up with others. We should have dined elsewhere.
