My husband and I stopped by Charley's for lunch around 11:30 A.M on a Friday morning. This Charleys' location is inside the Walmart at Tropical/Centennial. You can get here by taking the Ann/95N exit. There are plenty of parking spaces available. If you enter the Walmart at the right entrance, near Sam's Club, you'll immediately see Charleys. Charley's sells a variety of items from wings, French Fries, Philly cheesesteaks and sub sandwiches. Inside the restaurant, most of the tables were relatively clean. There were a few tables that were dirty which we avoided. Looking over the menu, we had decided to order the following Old School Cheesesteak (Large - $14.79) with a drink and a side of mozzarella sticks. Parmesan Peppercorn: Lettuce, Tomato, Beef, Parmesan Peppercorn sauce and a few other ingredients. A side of French Fries. Once you placed your order from the register, we were provided a number. We sat down, and didn't wait too long, approximately 20 minutes. It was pretty slow at 11:30, but once it turned 12:00 there was a huge line outside the restaurant! I was slightly disappointed with the old school cheesesteak. The beef wasn't shredded up like a normally Philly cheesesteak. The beef slices were relatively long, almost like gyro meat. The sandwich was also quite chilly, almost like it was sitting around for awhile. There was little cheese on the Philly Cheesesteak. The side of Mozzarella sticks weren't cooked through all of the way and the marinara sauce was cold. My husband thought his Parmesan Peppercorn cheesesteak was more of a sub sandwich since it included the typically ingredients such as lettuce and tomato. It was okay. The price wasn't too bad, a little under $40.00 for the entire order. I don't think I'll be coming back here again. read more

The food appears to be made hot and fresh since there is a slight wait time after ordering. I decided to try a small buffalo chicken sub and fries, which was advertised as a value special for $7.49. When ordering, I was asked what kind of drink I'd like and was presented choices of either lemonade or Hi-C. I asked if the special came with a drink since it wasn't pictured. The cashier said yes, but when reviewing my receipt, I noticed I was charged $1 + tax. Not a big deal, but their business practices are a little deceitful, especially because I didn't actually want a drink. The young man at the counter was very nice. Helped me place my order which was suppose to be a 9" cheesesteak with all the fixings. Lite on the mayo = no mayo Yes to jalapeños = 1 jalapeño !! The employees were giving out samples of the chicken cheesesteak sandwich and the strawberry watermelon lemonade. They hooked me in that way (happened to be noon & I was ready for lunch) plus I saw a sign for downloading the app & you get $5 off if you make a purchase of $15. Their wi-fi was down so they were accepting cash only. I also was unable to redeem my $5 off due to their internet being down. I ordered a 6-piece buffalo chicken wings with ranch, fries and an Oreo shake and then a regular chicken cheesesteak with fries and a strawberry lemonade. I really loved their lemonade, they offer regular, strawberry watermelon, strawberry and then peach. I like how they have fruit chunks added to the bottom. The chicken cheesesteak was really good, bread was fresh and soft. The fries were just okay I'd give it a 3/5. They also forgot to give me my ranch that I paid an extra $0.60 for. They have different sauces for the chicken wings from garlic Parmesan, lemon pepper and more. If I come next time I'll just skip on getting the French fries. The service is as bad as any established can get. Orders wrong, long waits. Which is a shame because the food is actually good. But too much of a hassle to order and wait for it then to have it wrong. They need to clean the skate get rid of everybody especially because they just all stand around staring at each other and there's a line waiting for food and to order. I've been thinking of trying this place since it originally opened but just today actually tried it. I got the small cheesesteak without toppings. 1st thing I noticed was that the meat was way overcooked!! The flavor was pretty good but it needed less time on the grill top!! I didn't try the fries so can't speak to that right now.
