This food is so messy and delicious. Some of the best fast food chili I've ever had. Some things were a little heavy on the onions but overall great experience. I will say this again. This is messy food. Or at least I chose poorly by ordering a lettuce wrapped original burger... the flavor was fantastic but by the last bite I was scooping the food in my mouth. The caliente chilli fries were sooo good. Just the right amount of spice while the fries were still giving a good crunch. My wife placed a pickup order online, and when I arrived at the drive-thru, no one greeted me. I ended up having to drive all the way up to the window just to get someone's attention. I was then told my order was not ready, which honestly was not a huge issue, but the wait ended up being over 25 minutes. The young man who handed me the food did apologize and explained they were busy inside, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, when I got home, my wife's burger was completely missing a bottom bun and both double cheeseburgers were missing the yellow chilis and grilled onions I requested. Being from California and genuinely loving this burger spot, this experience honestly made me really sad and disappointed. After waiting 20 minutes at the drive thru window, it ended up being the absolute worst Tommy's I've ever been to. Breakfast sandwich had a hamburger patty and bun vs sausage and an English muffin. Both chili cheese dogs were old and rancid tasting. I ate half the cheeseburger and threw the two chili cheese dogs and breakfast sandwich in the trash. Hoping they go out of business soon. It had been over a year since my family and I visited Tommy's -- the last time, the chili had a really strange taste (we honestly thought it might have been from the water or something), and it was such a turn-off that we stayed away for a while. We decided to give it another shot today, and I'm so glad we did! Whatever was going on before seems to be fixed -- even the smell outside was way better (maybe they fixed a sewer issue or something). The food was great, the service was friendly, and I didn't realize how much I'd missed their fries until I had them again. The chili tasted like it used to -- delicious and comforting. lol so yeah! Re-reading my older post, and now months later, I can say that it still stands up. The drive thru visit today was pretty much the exact same. In the positive sense, I'm saying. I was the only one in line, so lucky again. Clean, and friendly service remains consistent. Still the stick-to-your-guts bad idea but oh so delicious goo, and I'm guilty of multiple orders lol! I ate at original Tommy's in LA (Rampart) over 55 years. Never seen lettuce at any Tommy's. Until I visited Tommy's on W. Craig in Vegas. The chili was luke-warm and not fresh. The bun was cold and not toasted. The burger I use to pay 25 cents is now nowhere near the same taste at $5.95. Tommy they have ruined your master piece. Its like losing a family. read more

Haven't eaten here in years since I moved from the east side of Vegas. When I was driving home I noticed it out of the corner of my eye. I hopped off the freeway as I felt a moment of nostalgia. I ordered cheese fries and a chili cheese burger with no tomatoes or pickles. I was at the window for about 10 minutes before I decided to pull around front and go in, since I needed to use the bathroom. Bathroom was dirty had paper towels littered over the floor and a dirty toilet seat. Back up front I informed the man who I assume to be a shift lead or manager, that I was in the drive through but needed to come in to use the bathroom. I asked if my order was ready, he asked the lady who was handling my the window and she looked confused. I was asked to recite my order which I did as he tried to find my order on the screen. Unsuccessful he started to prepare the order and dropped fresh fries. I think he noticed the quizzical look on my face. Things weren't too tidy in back and I started to question if in should continue. A moment later he placed my bag on b the counter, once in the car I opened up the fries to try them. To my dismay the fries were soggy and soft. I knew they couldn't have been ready as they were just dropped in front of me. The burger had so much chili it was hard to distinguish the meat. I am not pleased with the service or food. I'm highly disappointed in wasting $12 and I think this location needs intervention. The 3 workers need guidance. read more

We purchased three 12 oz containers of chili to go. They seemed very light an in smaller containers, more for an 8 oz serving. When we got home we weighed them and they were only 9.5 oz each including the container weight. The cashier and the receipt both said they were 12 oz containers of chili. We were incredibly disappointed as these were gifts for some friends who adore Tommy's chili. We will not be returning after spending more than $30 and being cheated on the actual chili weight. read more

After watching a movie at the Santa Fe Movie theater, I was craving a hamburger for dinner. Looking up hamburger restaurants in the area, I noticed I still hadn't had a chance to go to Original Tommy's World Famous Hamburger! This location is off of Craig/95N exit. It's in a shopping plaza. There is a drive-thru for the restaurant. We opted to go through the drive-thru. Tommy's World Famous Hamburger is known for their chili cheeseburgers. There are other options too such as a chili cheese dog, breakfast burritos with chili, chili cheese fries, and so much more! We had ordered the following Double Cheeseburger: [2] Beef patties served with the chili, beefsteak tomato, mustard, pickles, cheese, and chopped onions. [1] Plain Cheeseburger: Beef patty with cheese and pickles! There is one window for paying for the order and picking up the food. Only one vehicle was ahead of us. It was relatively slow, though. We waited about 10 minutes before going up to the window. When we reached the window, one of the team members asked for payment. The team member still had their gloves on for working with food. We saw through the window that the person who took the payment was also making and preparing the food with the same gloves on. It normally is separate people. The order took about another 15 minutes to prepare. We risked it and still ended up eating the food at our residence. The burger patty was relatively small, but the flavor was decent. The burger bun was inedible, though. It was stale and hard. The price was inexpensive for both burgers, approximately $12.00 for both burgers. I'm glad I had a chance to try out the original Tommy's World Famous Hamburger, but I don't think l I'll be revisiting in the future. read more

I first tried Tommy's at their original location in California. The craving hit in Nevada so I thought I'd try. It was ok but it definitely missed something when it crossed the state line. The kids working were fantastic! They were friendly, efficient, and had great communication skills. Honestly that's what's saving this review. My pallet could have changed in the last couple of years. I don't normally eat chili burgers. So i will try again and see if it's me or the burger. I like Tommy's burgers but I can only handle a small amount of their chili. My husband's 'go to place' for burgers and he loves their menu, so we go to get his fix often enough. It's always empty when we go but that's odd hours just to avoid the crowds. Plus this location has really scarce parking up close. I get the California burger or as my husband calls it, the 'Haole' burger. It's meat, cheese, LTP, and sauce. As a combo it comes with fries, they are cut fat and if right out of the fryer they are really crunchy and delicious. And you get a drink. My husband gets the burger with the chili, fries and then orders the tamale/chili. I'll eat about half of it because that's about how much of the chili I can get away with. It always gives me indigestion so I learned the first time I came, limited chili for me! For me just a regular burger and if you love their chili you might enjoy it more. Worthy of a try. read more

It's very rare that I feel like I wasted my money, experienced subpar Grade D but edible food, and felt that the best part about the place was leaving. The food here was horrible. The chili resembles poo in a tray (see photo) . The hamburger is a wannabe Fat Burger that came up short. Definitely not using fresh beef but it have a little taste to it. I am recovering from knee replacement surgery. I do therapy about 100 yd from the Tommy's on Craig Road in Las Vegas. I have eaten at Barstow, Long Beach, Chino and downtown LA. My opinion. Maggie at the Craig location is the best employee I've ever seen. She is so friendly and so gregarious with the customers. I am in here a couple of times a week cuz of therapy- she knows what I will order when I hit the door. She treats me as much more than a customer. I'm from California so I've been to the original Tommy's location. The fries are crispy, the chili has a smoky, cayenne, peppery taste to it. The chili is full flavored and silky at the same time. When you combine the chili and the fries with the white onions It's a great marriage but just keep in mind I'm referring to the original location. For some reason, this particular visit, the chili and the fries just doesn't taste the same. The fries were soggy and not crispy. Chili was good but it was just lacking flavor and just fell flat. Even with the onions and cheese, to be honest, it sucked. I know that's a little harsh of a review but I was super pumped to visit this Las Vegas location coming from Texas since I live in Texas now but the hype was just dull. On the other hand, the cheeseburger was great it's exactly what I expected fresh vegetables clean and crisp with a soft bun and a well seasoned beef patty. Well I was going to give this place 4 stars for being clean & almost as good as In & Out until we made it to the last burger and found a PLASTIC WRAPPED SCREW IN MY BURGER?! It was wrapped in with everything, there is NO way the person preparing the food didn't see it. Came in at 5PM 5 Oct, 2022. I hope management takes care of it, because it is a serious sanitary issue.
