This is a biker "Steelers Country" bar. Super friendly place with karaoke on Thursday- Sunday nights at 9:00pm, til close. Pool tables. A patio. Chill crowd from young to old. Good bar food with specials. The drinks are strong and inexpensive and if you don't play nice at least you do not have to worry about being escorted out back like many biker bars, I think. Decided to give it another try after several failed attempts under different management/owners. Wait staff had attitude, like we were bothering them. One waitress was sitting with a table eating/drinking (soda I will assume) and working at the same time, she would sit, get up, go back and sit, get up.......so she was not on a break! They have previously double charged us, and this time was no different.... Talked to the manager, and he was defensive, unprofessional, and disrespected one of our friends. Something that with a little finesse could have smoothed it out, but instead he got "ghetto" like he was dealing drunk and disorderly trouble makers at 2 am. Then his wait staff started to threaten (putting hands up in the air like come get me).... I will never ever step foot in that establishment ever again!! read more

Came here for a beer after work on a Friday and wasn't too impressed. I don't think I am asking too much for my beer to be cold. I think it was served in a glass that came right out of the dishwasher. read more

I love this place! I know Larry and Diane, and they are like the nicest people. I have been coming here since 2004. It's a great place to hang out and blow off steam. I personally have never had a negative experience with the owners, staff, or other patrons. I recommend it to anyone who likes places like this. Description: I hate using the term "dive" because that implies the place is a dump, and Charley's certainly isn't that. It's more a sports bar, really than a dive, that is also a biker friendly bar (I would not say it's 100% biker bar, just there are regular patrons who are in bike clubs that visit on certain nights), but it is kept clean, and is always kept nice and cool in the summer. On Friday and Saturday nights it does get a little rowdy at times, with karaoke and hosted games. This is more a bar than a restaurant, so you do have a few regulars that are almost always there, and a couple are almost always wasted, but everybody minds themselves, no one really gets out of line and respects both Charley's and its patrons. For the most part, the patrons are friendly and respect everyone else's space, even when it is crowded, and the owners are on top of it if someone does step out of line. I've never been made to feel anything but welcome, there. In 10 years, I've only seen one case where they had to actually kick someone out, and the person was just wasted and out of line and were treated a lot more respectfully than they deserved, but things weren't physical or at a level where police had to be involved. How many bars can say that? Basically, its just a locally-owned, neighborhood working class, sports-party bar that serves great food and drinks at great prices. If you don't mind that, then this is your place! About the drinks, food, and staff: The draft beer is always fresh and cool tasting, and mixed drinks are poured with either an even or heavy hand. I've never had a weak drink there. The food is actually great. I go there on steak night, where you get a good size 10 OZ steak for $11. But they also have awesome burgers, wings, and Phili cheese steaks, the latter being among the best I've had. The food has always been well-cooked and I have never had a bad experience ordering the food. The servers are always pleasant and friendly, and are very attentive. Sometimes it gets busy and you may have to wait a few minutes to get a refill on your pitcher or take your order, but 90% of the time, you get served right away. Even when you do wait, it's because the servers are taking someone's order that's ahead of you, which is reasonable, and you typically don't have to wait long. Very dirty dingy little dive bar. The crowd is all regulars and they are very friendly. If your looking for something in the area to just drink this might be your place. The tvs are not great in here either. read more

A neighbored dive bar. Dark, just a few TV's scattered around, some dart machines and pool tables. Nothing special at all. Very limited selection of beer - just the standards like Bud and the various lights. No porters or stouts. Food is cheap and deservingly so because although it's not bad, it's far from good. Wife had a BLT - two pieces of thin commercial bread, a slice of tomato, piece of lettuce and a couple strips of bacon. Looked like a school boy's effort to make his lunch. And then pick a mini bag of Lay's potato chips. I had grilled ham and cheese with fries. Standard bread, two slices of processed cheese and maybe three thin pieces of processed ham. Fries must have been right out of a bag from Costco. Unless you live within walking distance, there's absolutely no reason to be there. read more

The 5 stars is the for the Saturday Night Dinner Special. Really is hard to beat for $12. The Sirloin Steak is above average, and they do a nice marinade on them. The Shrimp that come with the Dinner are the Sea Pack frozen pre breaded ones, but they're still dang good. You can never go wrong with a twice baked potato, their fries are thin, crispy, reminiscent of McDonald's. The Salad they bring for starters is good. All I can say is one helluva a great meal for $12. Larry and Diane are nice folks and obviously great business people as they have a thriving place here! read more

Went two weeks ago on a Saturday night for the 12.99 steak and shrimp special...sirloin btw. GOOD LORD!! PRIME STEAK! Was seriously fantastic. GREAT flavor and cooked perfectly. Skip the overpriced metro center chain steak restaurants and go here! Salad, steak, shrimp and choice of potato side, prompt service and a cold one, of course... Can't beat that! read more

Everyone here is friendly. No fights, no BS. Just down-to-earth people sharing drinks and GREAT food (try the patty melt) with everybody else. Buy a round and watch what happens! I have been coming here for 18 years and I must say that it is my favorite hang-out. Wednesdays and Saturdays (with shrimp!) are steak night. 10 oz. top sirloin, salad with your choice of dressing, baked potato with butter and sour cream, vegetables and texas toast. Oops. almost forgot. Cowboy beans. Moosie, Eric, and Joe are the chefs. Great job guys! Charlie is the Karaoke host and knows how to keep things rolling. Come up and have a good time. Been going here for 8 years. Great place to hang out, have a cold one, eat good food and make new friends. I've been plenty of places, but this place has a homey feel to it that will always keep me coming back. The staff is great and friendly!
