I got there and there was no one in charge or to take care of customers. I had to breakout my high school Spanish to get anyone to assist me.I had to double check the technician's work. He was going to put on a 60R instead of a 65R and charge me 10 dollars more than quoted for the wrong tire.Then when he had mounted the tire to my rim. He looks up at me and says listo (meaning ready) I looked at him and said what about balancing the tire. He smacks himself on the head like damn I forgot that. I made sure to watch him balance the tire. Prices are reasonable but you get what you pay for and shame on you is what someone would say to you if you don't watch and pay attention to the clowns working on your car. read more

Driving home from a visit to Grandpa's in Florida, we found our SUV had a nail in the tire. I had a spare buried under all the luggage, and it was a donut tire as well. So, I called Indy Tire (now BestOneIndy - where we bought our tires in Indianapolis) and they asked where we were and suggested we go to Charley's Tire and Wheels. It is a big lot, nothing fancy. It bays where they work on the cars. The customer waiting room is pretty much non-existent. We pulled up and talked to the owner (I will call him Charley, but I don't know if that is his name or not). Charlie said we could wait in our car. He came out with a jack, lifted the car, took off the tire, fixed it, brought it back all patched up. We were back on the road. This place was super busy, so it was not fast. But, we did get good service and didn't have to wait for a bay to open up. So, BestOneIndy is part of a group of small tire shops. Charley's is in that same group. There are companies across the country in this group. If you get in trouble and are not close to your tire company, you call a number, they hook you up. First yelp complaint EVER. That's how bad it was. Went in yesterday to have two rear tires on our BMW changed. We called around a few places looking for a somewhat uncommon tire size. Upon calling I was told over the phone a price and that they had the tire size. We were already driving around so we got to the shop about 10 min after I got off the phone with them. We Get there and we're told a different price.. despite that we paid for the tires and were waiting for over an hour before I finally went inside to see the hold up. The "manager" or "owner" (not sure who he was) was on the phone arguing with one of his guys about why he wasn't back with the tires. ????? I ask him "so you sold us tires that you didn't have? Why would you do that?" He says "that's how it works we cannot stock everything" and he WALKS AWAY FROM ME. Had he told us he did not have the tires in stock we would have gone to a different place and saved ourselves 2 hours! Instead he took our money, took our tires off and had us wait. No communication at all. Nothing. I felt played in a sense honestly. Completely unprofessional and not to mention NONE of the workers were wearing masks. Very bad experience and I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. read more

If I could rate this shop a 0 stars I would here's why. I was extremely disappointed with the manner in which this shop treated me. I was told by one of the guys that he could fix my tire, and then he began to work, but then he stopped. After asking what was wrong, I was informed they were unable to complete the job due to their working hours and operations. But keep in mind I was there with a whole bunch of other cars that they were working on so they said they can assist me and I stayed . They stated that they had to close the shop and stop working on my car. To top it off, the unprofessional so-called owner tried lowballing me for a new tire for more than it was worth because I am a female. Being that I know about cars and fully aware of how much everything would run me they were unable to overcharge me. I never got a new tire they left me stranded ! The owner came and I tried speaking to him he completely ignored me and proceeded to apply a spare tire that one of the helpful employee out there try to help me with and put it on . The owner ( Charley ) threw my messed up tire and left my equipment on my tire I had to then put the tire in and the equipment in my car by myself one of the employees name derrin I believe that's how you spell helped me put some of my stuff in the vehicle. He was so helpful and really was dedicated to helping me out .there was another employee there I'm unsure as to what his name is but he was wearing a boiler suit and a black wig cap he knew I had a long way to go after I explain to all of them he started helping out but then switched when his owner came and try to make it seem like the employee was at fault and did nothing wrong. Even the employee derrin knew that I had a long way to go and seen that they was working on a lot cars out on the lot but did me very wrong. This shit was very unprofessional and uncalled for and the owner pull away very fast and left my equipment and tire out on the lot . I will never come back they treat people horribly and will start to assist you but not follow through. read more

I visited here to fix flat tire. I was wondering if I would get recommended unnecessary tire replacement (hey, tire ki*gd*m!!!) but the guy took care of my car was an honest hardworking professional. He quickly find the cause of flat tire and fix it within 10 minute, and charged me only $5. I give him little tip. I actually wanted give him more but I didn't have enough cash that day. I feel bad about it but he gladly accepted it. I haven't seen such honest auto business for a while after my trusted mechanic retired. I highly recommended this place. read more

Charley's tires is great!! I brought my Chevy Camaro by today because lately 2 of my tires have been low on air. I ended up getting both tires patched because they both had nails in them. No surprise!! With so much construction in the city, nails in tires are bound to happen. Everyone at Charley's was very nice and efficient! This place does terrible business. I wanted to get 4 wheels installed. And mind you, the rims looked really nice and the tires were new. Now after the installation, I noticed my car shakes bad at 60mph. I went back the next day for them to figure it out. A worker re balanced it supposedly, and it still was giving me an issue. I went to Discount Tires and the workers mentioned my wheels weren't even balanced at all and my hubs were missing. So I had to get the job done somewhere else correctly. I've spent $950 at Charley's for them to not finish the job. Very disappointing, the workers take too long to approach you as well. I'm not a complainer, this is all factual! read more

Went in to change a tire. Ended up having to change two of them because they didn't have the size for the one that needed to be changed. Service was just fine. Two months in one of the tires that was changed is completely flat again. I come to a different place to get an oil change & that's how I found out about the tire. They tell me that the sensor, and a valve was missing probably because the place where I changed my tires didn't put it. read more

Great service for a good price! Piñata(cars name) has been on several road trips, is on the constant go for work, and simply out in about so was overdue for some new tires. Had recently gotten a flat tire which was fast and easily repaired at this same shop for very cheap. They recommended I get new tired before I experienced another flat. At first I thought it was just them trying to make business but then they fully explained how to tell if your due for new tires before being stranded on the road again. They did inform I could get by with my current tires for 6-8 wks, they gave me a quote on what it would cost me for 4 new tires and after doing some research they definitely offered the best price. I showed up another day informing them I was ready for new tires, they didn't have them in stock but ordered them right away and had them within an hour. I was able to grab lunch and do quick errand within that hour and when I got back they were ready to put new tires on my car. They informed the milege my new tires are good for and also I am able to get my tires repaired there for free in the future if I happen to get a flat or nail stuck. The staff is very nice and helpful, they give you options if you're on a budget and they are willing to work to accommodate your needs. Staff also speak fluent Spanish for those that prefer spanish speaking. read more

Warning: this place looks/seems sketchy. That is not the case at all. Best prices on tires by far. My car blew out a tire and Pep boys and tires first quoted me 200-250 for a new continental tire for my Audi to match the tires already on there. Charley's had a used one literally in like-new condition for 60 bucks. Can't beat it! Nothing like taking your car out to get a rim replaced then having the guy break the lug bolt when putting the wheel back on, then breaking my special wheel lock trying to uncrew the wheel bolt to fix the broken lug, THEN telling me he's going to charge me to fix his mess up to finally not be able to fix his mess up at all and wasting 4 hours of my time. Still had to pay for the 1 rim replacement, left there with a broken lug in my rim and my special lug lock key broken. Worst customer service ever. read more

OkI've been buying used tires the last couple of purchases because of how expensive new ones have become.There was a time I paid $200-$250 for a set & now that same set cost anywhere from $500 - $600 (unfortunately my income is not increasing as fast as the cost of living...:-/). Ok, vent aside....I'd been looking for some decent used tires & could not find any in my $200 budget. Read several great reviews online about Charley's, called them & they told me they had 2 sets my size. Went down there and an 30 mins later I had a set of practically brand new $500 Affinities for $180 out the door including tax. The guys were very helpful &, when I asked, they even gave me an additional $10 off of the $180 price before tax (hey, can never hurt to save more money on an already good deal). While waiting for the installation I took a look at their stock of used tires. The quality & tread on all of the tires was very good to excellent and you could barely tell many of them were used. I'd definitely recommend Charley's to anyone on a tight budget who needs tires. Great service & quality without breaking the bank!! read more
