They split our super lengue burrito in half with extra grilled onions and peppers without us asking! Super nice

We came back today and shared another lingua burrito and this time it was even better than the last. It was 90 percent meat! We also received another complimentary guacamole with chips freshly fried for us, so generous!

Lengua Super Burrito, picture does not do it justice!

This place was good! You can really taste the care and pride behind the food. The cashier was very nice and helpful. I went and ordered a lengua super burrito and an horchata. The horchata was good but it was not overly sweet. The burrito came back packaged in a little box with freshly fried chips to order. They had a salsa bar with take away containers to take all the condiments you want such as cucumbers, radish, cooked peppers. The salsa bar had three salsas. One for every spice level, mild medium and hot. The burrito was charred and had grill marks, the meat was flavorful and tender. The restaurant was small but the flavors were big. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for take out!

I had high hopes for this place given the reviews, but this didn't satisfy my craving like I hoped. The burritos weren't as flavorful. The salsa was good though! I also like that they give you chips, grilled onions, and jalapeños. Can't speak for service since we didn't dine in.

Carne asada super burrito sub fries for rice

I am always a big fan of a place that allows you to make a burrito California style and Carrillos definitely allows that substitution. I grabbed a Carne asada super burrito sub fries for rice. The space itself is nice looking. It took over an old afghan restaurant that used to be there. Parking can be tricky. Service was fine. Easily understood my request and knocked it out in about 5 minutes or so. Burrito: Fries are superb! Crispy, have good flavor. No complaints about good fries. Tortilla is probably the top item of the entire burrito. It tastes fresh made and I love every minute of it. The carne asada itself had tough parts to it and lacked that flavor I am seeking for in a really good burrito. It was on the chewy/tough side and I was really hoping it wouldn't have been as it dragged the burrito down. Overall it's good, a 7/10 in my book. That's respectable, but I'd want to try a different meat with it next time.

Had to try the new spot that opened up right down the street. Will be making this one of our go-tos! Had the pastor, asada, and pollo taco. They were all great and well priced, but the pastor was the winner - and we all know if the pastor is good then it's a go!

So happy we tried this spot out. We've been in a rut with taquerias lately and needed to find a new place. We used to love the taco truck parked off Detroit Ave by the park and were super sad when they disappeared a while ago...this spot tastes very similar! Wondering if it's the same owners? Service is friendly, prices are reasonable and the food is really fresh. Free chips and guac with our order. The chips were piping hot out of the fryer. Yummmyyyyyy!

    Really good birria quesadilla
    Jon L.

I had the birria quesadilla. It was excellent. Plenty of meat, the birria was tender and juicy, the tortilla was slightly browned without being burned, they give plenty of onions to add, and the consome broth was nicely flavored. Reasonable prices, plenty of parking. Overall I definitely will be back. I think their opening hours on Yelp is wrong, they open at 11am.

Not sure why there's so many negative reviews. This place is amazing. Great burritos, great service eating chips and block when eating. When eating inside my number one burrito in Concord they also have a food truck!!

06/08/26- Went here as I trust my fellow Yelpers when it comes to reviews. And I have to prove it myself, if the verdict is true. And sure thing, this one is forreals! Located in somewhat a sketchy place but not too bad. You should bring someone with you if you stop by here to try their superb menus! Greeted as soon as I walk in- Genesis is the name of the nice lady. Ordered tacos, and birria ones. I just ordered the basic ones first to see if it will live up to the expectations or will be a disappointment. Boy, it did not disappoint! Service is great, first of all. Workers are hardworking. The fresh chips along with the fresh guacamole is a great starter (for free, it is a plus that most customers will appreciate). The consome is tasty and pairs well with the birria. Most consome that I had were very salty. The food is well presented. They bring your food in your table of choice. The staff were all nice and respectful. They don't bother you or look at you while you enjoy their scrumptious food! They also have a salsa bar equipped with containers, covers and fresh salsas or whatever you may need! I will return to try more of their other good stuff! Keep up the great work! Kudos to the chef and stafg of Carillo's! People will find you anywhere, for as long as great service and food are combined- this business will be here for long! See you again next time! Yes, there will be a next time, I guarantee! Thank you very much!

Love this place, we live close by and are so glad Carrillos moved in. Over the last 5 visits we've had their tacos, burritos, quesadillas, birria and tortas and have loved each one. Their chips are fresh and amazing and with each order you get a pile of grilled onions and jalapeno. Some of the best Mexican I've ever had.

My new go-to spot for tacos, burritos and tortas. Portion size is great and the price is very affordable. I had the birria torta and 3 al pastor tacos. Torta was huge, came with side of chips, caramelized onions and chargrilled pepper. Also came with the consomme for the birria torta.

The zucchini was cooked perfectly and not overcooked or soggy at all, which made the whole burrito taste fresh and flavorful. We also got the appetizer with the chips, zucchini, arugula, and cheese and that ended up being one of my favorite dishes. Everything paired together really well and had a lot of flavor without feeling too heavy. I also tried the mango margarita with tajín on the rim and really liked it because it wasn't overly sweet. Super refreshing and balanced. The Dude ordered the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and really enjoyed those as well. Customer service was also really good. They checked on us periodically throughout the meal and everyone was friendly and attentive without hovering. Overall the restaurant felt clean, relaxed, and comfortable. I noticed how enthused and attentive they were to other patrons in comparison to how they were with me and my daughter. I'll leave it at that. I purchased a chicken burrito, a steak burrito (burritos came with potato chips), a mango margarita, and a cheesecake. Pros- the food is fresh and made with quality ingredients. The mango margarita.... Best thing I ordered! Cons- Burritos lacked flavor and was pretty unremarkable. The cheesecake. Idk if it was spoiled or a different type of cheesecake but it didn't taste good at all. My daughter ate it bc she's greedy lol and said that it tastes "interesting". I do feel like the food we ordered is not prepared the way I'm familiar with, so I'll own that. BUT flavor is flavor and this place did not do it for me at all.

We did find one that had excellent street tacos but they were very pricey, three tacos for $16.99 with no chips. I would need to get two orders so 6 street tacos with tax and tip would be well over $40 which is No Bueno. We weren't sure what to expect from La Tapatia but I liked that the menu had crunchy tacos. I ordered a pork tamale, a crunchy ground beef taco and some arroz. My friend ordered a chile relleno and a crunchy ground beef taco. The food came with complimentary tortilla chips and a salsa dip with frijoles. The dip and Chios were fresh and the salsa with blended with frijoles was enjoyable. The crunchy tacos were fried nicely and had a good amount of filling. I thinking about trying carnitas as the filling but there a bit of a charge. The tamale was pretty good. The masa was not too dry or too wet. The meat to masa ratio was about right. My friend liked his chile relleno. The rice was more well done than I usually prefer and needed a little more seasoning. Overall, the food was delicious, service very attentive and pricing was a bit higher than other restaurants but still fair. I plan to take the family next trip and try other dishes. For a good family meal or with friends, drop on in for good food and service. You won't be disappointed.

I pointed out to he waiter that he had a crumb on his chin and he wiped and chuckled like a nice champ. The music is pleasant but a bit louder than needed so I brought out the earplugs. The entire indoor setup is nice. Our food is arriving after what seems like a long wait meaning either the food is being served fresh, hot and tasty, or we are in for a mediocre experience. Our two plates arrived. Chilli relleno and Grilled chicken enchilada. I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of the smallish squair white plates. Reminds me of trying to look upscale. We own plates like these and that didn't work. Wife's enchilada plate was covered with three hot and very tasty chicken filled food bombs plus sides. The chili plate looked a little weak (too much plate showing) but that was the tastiest chilli relleno ever in 40 years of me enjoying these. Served hot with cheese filled up to the ying yang, an extra spiciness I have never had before that I loved and me wishing I had a spoon to scrape up the end of the sauce. Unfortunately the smallish rice and bean servings on both plates were luke warm and tasted so so. . I had similar hotter to those with tv dinners back in the day. Isla's fish tacos are phenomenal--easily the best in the area and a must-have every single time. I usually go for the tilapia, though I've sampled the red snapper as well. They come out super crispy on the outside yet remain incredibly moist inside, with the salsa and toppings melding together perfectly. I also visited their new location today and was pleasantly surprised by the ample parking and comfortable seating.
