The food is tasty, warm and fresh. They usually take 15-20 mins to get the food ready and pick up is smooth. I like their pad see ew. I'm not a spicy girl so I usually get a 1/5 spice level. My go to Thai spot in the bay! I've been recently watching White Lotus every Sunday and since it takes place in Thailand, it has become a weekly tradition to order Thai food on Sunday nights. The red curry is amazing and so is the Pat Thai. I always get it on level five spicy and it's so hot and delicious. I'm obsessed. It's a cute small spot located in downtown. This restaurant is very modern, has air conditioning, and very good food. Inside is quiet, comfortable, and not too busy. The food is very good and you can see from the menu that they have everything. Take-out orders come in through a side entrance. That keeps the kitchen busy and makes this restaurant a good place for a quiet dinner or conversation. It is on South El Camino and there is plenty of parking on El Camino just past the restaurant. Loved getting the yellow curry chicken here. It's a little on the liquidy side in terms of texture but tastes great and the portions are good. Wish there was a way to get the chicken to not be so tough but I think that's just how lean meat is sometimes. Hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in the peninsula! It is a small restaurant with few seating - I have always only ordered takeout from here so I can't speak for the service. But I swear this place is a guilty pleasure and we get take out here multiple times a month. While the restaurant is small, I am sure they get a flood of to-go orders as they made the pick-up process efficient by having a separate take-out window to the right side of the restaurant. This makes it so easy so that you don't have to walk into the building and stand awkwardly around the tables while others are dining in. Our go-to orders are the the Pad Se-Ew with beef and yellow curry with chicken and a side of coconut rice. Yummmm!! I am very picky with my Thai food and this place is a solid 5/5. For most stir fry noodles, I like to be able to TASTE the fire from the wok and their pad se-ew has a delicious smokey taste to it. One of my preferred local Thai food restaurants when I was living in the Peninsula. My go-to's are: pad thai, pad se ew, papaya salad, green curry, and mango sticky rice. The pad thai is great - I don't like it when it's sweet but this wasn't the case. The pad de ew had a good amount of veggies which is always a plus. The papaya salad was the perfect amount of spice and savory (you can select your spice level). The green curry is my all time favorite, they have a good amount of veggies and protein plus the soup is so delicious! And of course, have to end the meal with mango sticky rice - their mangos are usually the perfect tart & sweetness + their rice is soft and sticky. Overall, the food is not bad, and I feel that this style of Thai food (at least for the four dishes we tried) is definitely more catered toward a western palette. Not a positive or negative, just a note on the style of cooking. Tom kha - this was tasty and full of goodies. It leaned much more toward the creamy and mild end of the spectrum versus other much tangier versions of Tom kha that I've had. Crab Pad Thai - this was tasty! The crab is pretty disintegrated into the dish, so unfortunately did not get any good chunks of meat, would probably go for the regular pad Thai in the future. Gra pow/ basil wok - this was definitely the most disappointing. There was no flavor whatsoever, not even salt. I assume a mistake was made in preparing ours because it is hard to believe that this is what they normally serve. Planning to re-fry this in my wok with some additional salt and flavoring. We ordered the following: -Yellow Curry w/ Pork: The curry itself is fairly decent, with chunks of potatoes, onions, slices of carrots, and generous portions of pork bits. Rice is not included, but can be added for an additional cost. -Pad Thai: While ok as far as pad thai goes, it was definitely does not rank anywhere near the top of great Pad Thai. There are some scant veggies mixed in, along with bits of chicken. The sauce used has a slightly sweet taste to it. -Golden Triangles Tofu: Beautifully fried tofu, which comes with a sweet chili sauce that tastes more like a sweet and sour sauce. While aesthetically pleasing, the tofu was a bit bland and lacked a crunchy outer layer. Overall an ok dining experience. If you are looking for Thai food in a pinch, Charm Thai will do. Ordered the Thai samosas and they were very tasty. I would have lived to have curry sauce as an option for the sauce versus their sweet and sour sauce but overall it was tasty! I also ordered the spicy noodle soup (forgot to take a pic cause it was so enticing). The soup had good flavor but for me I should have asked for spicier because the spicy was very minimal; easy fix because they have hot sauces upon request. Also I agree with another reviewer who stated it wasn't very tangy/sour in taste however, that was easily remedied by requesting lime, which they were very kind enough to provide. Last week we were there for Lunch. Upon entering in and sitting there waiting for my friend I smelled a very very strong incense . Pad Thai tasted a little bit like ketchup, but it was still edible. The Basil fried rice (Thai Spicy Fried rice on the menu) didn't have that smoky flavor/taste and slightly brown color we are used to so it was disappointing. The last item we ordered was the Sweet Sole- panko crusted sole filet with a sweet and sour dipping sauce was soo good! The fish remained crispy and the sauce accompanied it well. Probably the best Thai restaurant we have tried in the Bay Area. We are not generally in this area or dining here, but picked this location due to a pick up at the airport The restaurant is very assuming from outside and has small indoor as well as outdoor seating. We could have been seated right away but opted to sit inside as it was just too cold!! We had to wait for a table about 30 minutes as they had two large parties who had made a reservation. The staff was very efficient friendly and helpful. We tried 6 different dishes and every one of them was delicious. Do try their daily specials, we tried the fried fish that was the day's special and it was wonderful. The green papaya salad was amazing and very flavorful. Loved the yellow curry chicken. This Thai restaurant is a good spot if you want a quick, nice and not expensive bite to eat. The place is quaint and the service was quick. I did go on a weekday in the early afternoon, so other times might be busy. This place is small and has a limited number of tables. My friend and I ordered individual plate each, but was enough to share. We started off with a Tom Ka soup, which is the coconut based soup with chicken. The soup was pretty good with nice portions of chicken and soup was thick with coconut flavour. The only complaint is it was loaded with white onion. So much that toward the end of the soup, there was nothing but large chunks of onions. A bit much I think. I ordered the minced chicken with basil and bell peppers which was good and I opted for the brown rice. My friend ordered the yellow curry with coconut rice. We ordered delivery from Charm Thai recently and was pleasantly surprised! A lot of Thai restaurants are just ok in the Bay Area but we really liked the food here. We opted for noodles this time (Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao) and they were good. You can customize spice level on the app and we liked our levels 1 and 2. I might try 3 next time. Levels 1 and 2 have a slight spice lingering but I could probably eat more. My pad see ew noodles were the right amount of flavor and oiliness if that makes sense. Chicken is a tad bit dry but still pretty good all things considered. Really liked the amount of broccoli and carrots they had in the dish. Not too salty either. This place continues to impress me. I have been craving pineapple fried rice and thought I'd give theirs a try today, and it was completely amazing. The addition of the yellow curry surprised me, I thought I may not like it but it was delicious and packed a good lunch of flavor.
