This was our first time at this groomer and also our first-ever grooming experience for our puppy, and it was wonderful from start to finish. Marysol at the front desk was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She took the time to help us feel comfortable and explained everything clearly, which we really appreciated as first-time dog parents. Ana, the groomer, did an amazing job with our five-month-old Shih Tzu. She truly listened to what we wanted in terms of the cut and paid close attention to detail. Our puppy came out absolutely adorable, and we could tell she was handled with so much care and patience. Overall, such a great experience. I want to preface and say that I do not think my dog was intentionally injured. I wanted to find a groomer that was close to me as I drive an hour for the groomer that we are used to. Charms is right next to my home. The environment is calm and doesn't seem to be anxiety provoking for dogs at all. My issue is only with the concern we brought to them. My dog came home and immediately I could tell his eye was in pain. The squinting would not stop. Long story short- he had an abrasion on his eye. I was stressed for a couple of weeks watching him and lasting to this past week. Vets described abrasions happening due to soap in eyes etc. I do also remember filling out the paperwork where we acknowledge that we will not take action for normal injuries that may occur during grooming. I would not do that unless I could tell it was negligence. My dog is calm - overly calm and not sure how the abrasion occurred in the grooming room. My concern is with the response to us bringing this to them. They outright said they are not sure what happened and he could have rubbed his eye. We told them we were going to the vet and they did not respond after . No check in or even them offering to do some restorative action. I didn't even feel comfortable asking them a play by play on what happened to explain to the vets because of how culpability was put onto my dog for possibly rubbing his eye. He has been groomed at the same groomer for 9 years and my first time trying another place - this happened. I just wished there was more care for what we were going through with vets etc and even just alerting them to the issue of his eye. Again, don't think they injured him out of negligence but things like this happen and restorative actions should always be done and simple care for the animals when these things are brought up is all I ask for. 5 stars for Charm's! It was my 2 year old mini labradoodle's birthday , and her first time at Charm's. The booking process online was clear and easy. Canela was welcomed by Ana- so so kind and sweet! She got a special birthday bandana. She was nervous but Ana reassured us. She was very attentive and welcoming. I was nervous to pick her up because my son would be with me later in the afternoon- he has severe autism and it's hard to take him inside places. I explained this to Ana and she was so compassionate and accommodating! I got a text when it was almost time for pick up, and Ana brought Canela out to my car for me. It was so nice and stress free, my son didn't have a meltdown. I'm so grateful to have tried this place. Canela came out looking so great, her breath even smelled so fresh and good! Where can I start to even scratch the surface on how much I love Charm's Grooming! I had a 16 year old dog named Gracie that had a harder time as she got older with grooming. Ana & Jose were so good to her. When I went to pick up Gracie, Ana was holding her & comforting her until I got there, rather than just sticking her in a cage. It was so different from any other groomer who I had ever been to. I knew Ana cared & that's what all pet parents want, to feel like your dog is just as special as their own. I was especially impressed when I came by about 2 months later, after my Gracie had passed. Ana remembered me by name & my Gracie. Ana let me share my grief & gave me a comforting listening ear. I had the most wonderful experience at Charm's Grooming. My pup unfortunately has had a pretty bad experience with her past groomer and a close family member highly recommend them. I was not disappointed one bit. I got ongoing text messages reassuring me Luna was happy take in mind my pup gets anxiety so this made me be at ease. I got a text message that Luna would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived Luna was beautifully groomed and most importantly she was happy. I have a very vicious chihuahua who does not like anyone but her family. she will bite, show teeth, the whole 9 it is VERY hard for me to get her nails trimmed. At the vet they want to charge me for an exam which is over $100, the nail trim which is $75 plus a "inconvenience" fee (for the aggression) and medication to drug her. so after everything close to $300 for a nail trim..last time I did all of that and I had to watch my poor little baby be drugged and it was awful, once they were done I could barely tell the nails were cut! So this time I googled and Charms Grooming was the first to come up so I called and let me tell you the customer service was excellent! she assured me they had experience with aggressive dogs and when I asked the price $25!! i was sold! of course I was still nervous because another time at the vet they couldn't do it and sent me back home with her with medication to try again..so anyway I took my dog today to Charms and they were excellent! they did amazing with my dog and I am just so impressed! they did what the vet couldn't! and I honestly feel like my dog liked the lady! now I am at home and her nails look so so good! I would definitely recommend this place and I will be returning from now on! read more
