I recently switched to Patelco and I'm really happy so far with my switch. Today I simply needed to swing by the closest branch from where I was and Sunnyvale was it. I walked in and was promptly and kindly greeted and assisted. All I had to do was deposit some cash but the gentleman helping me was so professional and kind, not to mention had a great sense of humor and was highly personable. If I'm ever in the area and need to go to a physical branch, I'll definitely be back. He was also very quick and efficient. read more

My wife and I met with Alex Quebec today to work on our Trust account name transfer. What a great experience and professional service. We originally completed the Trust name transfer at another location, but there were issues related to additional accounts and creation of a new account. Alex helped fix all those problems and just used the existing account that we had in place. Additionally he was personal about making no new issues will arise and mentioned he help talk to the previous folks involved to get them up to speed on the process/re-trained. This Patelco location looks pretty new. It's located in the Trader Joe's plaza. There was ample parking on a weekday on the side. I was very impressed with Patelco. I had an appointment with a financial advisor- Mani. He was very helpful and knowledgeable on how to set up a traditional Roth. He took his time with us and answered all questions thoroughly. He also gave some great recommendations and sent us a summary email afterwards. The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful as well. I also love that they have coffee, water, and tea for their members! :) I highly recommend Patelco for your financial needs. read more

Everybody be warned, this credit union is not NOT open on Saturdays. I drove all the way up here from Sam Jose to make a deposit and found the doors closed and it clearly says not open today. Very frustrating yelp please make this update or I will have to change banks. I need a bank that is open on Saturdays. read more

I came in here to make a payment and walked right in as soon as they opened on a weekday. I saw a lady looking my way and told her I was here to make a payment and the lady next to her called me up to help me. Unfortunately my visit was during the COVID-19 pandemic due to this credit union making it so difficult to make the payment online or over the phone. All the safety measures were put in place and the banker notified me that when she walked up for me to step back to keep the 6 feet distance. I made my payment and it was completed within 2-3 minutes. While the transaction was fast I would have preferred to do this over the phone or online due to the current circumstances. Overall the establishment is clean. It's a small space so I'm glad I came in as soon as it opened. The staff was efficient. Under different circumstances the visit to this credit union was an efficient use of my time as they completed my transaction in a timely manner. read more

I went in today for a vehicle refinance and tell you what! the loan officer who assisted me was fantastic, amazing, helpful, friendly and she also knows what she's doing. Her name is Maria Enriquez and she really did made my day with her highly professional service. Maria helped me out on my loan request and she made everything smooth and fast. I brought a co-signer with me thought I'll be denied if I'll applied the loan myself and when Maria collected my information, with her confidence she thinks that I'll be good. Therefore she gave me an option if I want to try myself or apply with a co-signer ,we went ahead and applied myself and she had to call the credit coorperate to find out the result of the application right away because she don't want my co signer to wait. I got an approved which was very exciting. I have been a member of Patelco Credit Union since way back when I was still in California. I have moved to British Columbia, Canada and I kept my accounts with Patelco. Calling CUSTOMER SERVICE on the phone and to expect a live person to answer the call is an impossible dream. Allen Pineda is fantastic!! I actually called to get my pay off amount for my car to refinance with another lender, but she was able to help me get in a much better deal through patelco. Then not only did she do that, but she was able to look at what was going on with my credit and helped me to consolidate a few other things. She also pointed out to me that my current financing for my new air conditioner turned out to be some crazy 12-year loan. That I didn't really realize I had. She was able to turn it into a 5-year loan and save me so much money. Allan you're amazing! I hope patelco reads this and realizes that they need to promote you! I am having a similar experience as Shams F (Nov 13, 2020) in regards to Patelco. The staff at the Patelco Credit Union branch have been helpful, but my main concern is about their process and customer service through their 800 number. God have Mercy on this organization. Do no assign funders to borrowers if your funders have no desire to help the credit union bring in business. Easily pre-approved (because we have good credit and income) while filing the online documents and even submitted all of the documents that were requested! My "funder" is supposed to contact me but when I call the 800 number, every service representative responds, "Let me ask the funder..." Sorry, the funder is the one who has refused to communicate for over 3 weeks. I understand we are in a COVID-19 era, but even in my line of work I respond to all clients and customers within 24 hours and Patelco cannot reply in 3 weeks? After finally speaking to a senior manager, they say please hold, bam we receive an email saying the loan is DENIED. What type of service is that? Patelco, if you want to survive in this era, I highly suggest you look at performing professional development for your staff especially on the Loans department because no customer wants to interact with unprofessional staff. TL DR: If you have good credit and want a loan from this organization, look elsewhere. They have no incentive to help. read more

He explained the details to us and the information we needed to provide. Communication was on point through email and over the phone. He was able to help us get the loan we needed at a good rate. I had an auto loan with Patelco that needed to be transferred and the staff was able to process it within a few days. I was in the middle of a pre-approval for another dream home so I needed that loan out to qualify for a higher amount and they made it possible within a few days. Found out about Patelco through recommendations online and they did not disappoint. Initially just wanted an auto loan but decided to get one of their credit cards due to their low APR. Allen assisted me with membership and application and things went well for the most part. I was declined for the auto refinancing loan I requested even though I was pre-approved.
