Since I work right next to this branch, it has been super-duper convenient to run all my banking errands during the week; yet alone, having the Hayward staff so vibrant & hospitable - shoutout to Brenda & the rest of the team! Super helpful & don't leave you hanging when you've got any questions/concerns you may have about your account or any information you would like to know. In addition, they also have perks throughout the year - whether it be freebies or some knick-knacks & giveaways as an appreciation to its members like me, who continue & will continue utilizing their services. They are a cash-less branch, though; meaning that you won't find the traditional teller windows here & being able to get cash on hand. They have 2 ATM machines inside that can help you deposit and/or withdraw from your accounts, in addition, to being able to check your balance, as well. They also have an outside ATM machine, just in case you're in a hurry or you come across to this branch on weekends (yep, they are closed on weekends!) - and they just installed a brand new one within this last month. Ample parking is available (they have their own lot), in addition to street parking along Amador - and its members are predominantly Alameda County employees, so make sure to acknowledge your co-workers when you see them here! And I have been at five different Wells Fargo branch offices so far. The branch at Southland drive is quite possibly the nicest branch I've ever been to. Every Time I am always warmly greeted at the main entrance, and everybody is so friendly who always has the same positive and warming attitude every time I come. Today the banker is Jaiprit. She is extremely friendly, polite, kind, helpful and professional. Jaiprit was able to complete everything within 10min. The service is just amazing. The service at this branch will exceed your expectations guaranteed. This is a much nicer branch than the others location in East Bay. Definitely this is the place to bank!

For years, I've been logging into my home screen and it never showed a balance due. I also never got a billing for the annual fees. But this morning, when I clicked on my HELOC account button, it showed a balance due of $225. I phoned their customer service line and was told that I'm charged $75 per year to keep the account open. They never sent a billing for that annual fee or I would have closed it earlier. To close the account, I will now have to pay $225 plus around $175 in fees. I wonder how many elderly people forget about their Fremont Bank HELOCs, only to discover they owe hundreds, if not thousands to Fremont Bank when they, or their heirs, go to sell their homes? Update at 5:58PM, same day I posted, I got a call from Valerie and she waived the $225. I'm impressed with how responsive they were. Sure, I have to pay the recording fees, etc. to record the reconveyance, but that's just a pass through expense so I'm fine with that. Thank you Fremont Bank!!

I was informed that either a driver's license and ID or a passport would be acceptable. Later, the representative stated that a driver's license and ID were sufficient, and then changed the information by saying the account could not be opened because both documents have the same identification number, which is completely normal and expected. Instead of offering a simple solution--such as requesting the passport to properly complete the process--the representative left the matter unresolved and a letter was sent stating that they were unable to identify him, despite the fact that my son has a Social Security number, state ID, driver's license, and passport. This situation reflects a lack of consistency, professionalism, and willingness to properly assist the customer.
