Stopped in for a midweek lunch with my wife and daughter. The restaurant is very clean and our server was responsive and courteous. Overall the food was good but not great. Overall the food was very good. My only criticism was that my Tandori Chicken was on the dry side which was unexpected given the quality of the other apps and entrees. Also, the prices were on the high side. Will probably try again. I've heard the weekend lunch buffet is especially worth it. read more

Food was pretty good overall but not good enough to overcome a problem we experienced. Ordered takeout and had other things cooking and people waiting at home for a specific dinner time, so timing was important in this case. We arrived at the prescribed pickup time and were told the online ordering system wasn't working properly so they had not received the specifics of the order. They admitted it had been like this for a few days. We were certainly able to order from home... and it sure charged our card properly! So, the result was that they didn't start preparing our order until we arrived to pick it up. It was 25 minutes later when we left for home. No discount or extra items were offered to make up for the problem. You just can't run a business like this! read more

The food was bland had very little taste and was dry. The food was also cold and not fresh. The hen we told them that it was cold we responded with a unpolite 'ok'' And didn't change anything when we walked we were not greeted at all and the same when we left. They had very little customers. The food was not authentic Indian food, that people look for. Do not come here and drive somewhere else. Consitently excellent meals with pleasant service! Pakora, spicy chicken wings and samosas are memorable appetizers. Butter chicken, biyrani and goat vindaloo ate among our favorite mains - don't forget a bread basket filled with a variety of naan. Malai korma is an excellent vegetarian option. Solid 3.5 2 friends sharing a meal. Naan basket was yummy. All flavors were great. Fresh. Better than Zeera. Tikka masala chicken was good but very little meat. Delicious sauce. Once extra rice was purchased I was able to fill up. Zeera has morequantity. For a tiny side of spicy mango pickle the price was high and most of it was inedible. You have to pay extra for relish tray. Zeera does not charge. Customer service was odd. Waiter seemed shocked we were sharing and kept saying "that's all?" It was off putting. My mom and I dined at Chaska on a Sunday for lunch and the experience was just okay. We both opted for the buffet which was a good option to try different things but was not worth the price for us. Food was great. We ordered Goat Curry, Aloo Gobi, Bhindi Masala, and Rogan Josh Chicken. (We ordered the Goat Curry and Bhindi Masala medium spicy and Aloo Gobi and Rogan Josh mild). All were good, but the Bhindi Masala may have been one of the best versions of that I have had. Service was just ok. I had ordered for the table and despite saying that, they brought everything out as individual plates of rice with a bowl of the dish. When the first two items came out, I asked for additional plates and they told me that I didn't need them because each dish was going to be a plate. Also, we had come from a long day and kept emptying the water carafe they brought us. We had to ask each time for them to bring us another one. read more

Stopped by for lunch. Scanned the menu. Waited for five minutes. Someone then handed my husband an actual menu...waited another 10 minutes: no one came to take our order. Another family walked in, and we all ended up waiting in the front for someone to take our order: not a person in sight. There was only 1 family of 3 sitting in a booth, the rest of the 15+ seating was empty. Not sure who got distracted, didn't care, or what took place that day: but my husband and I walked out. Oh: we went to another store for quick errands, walked past: and the same family that came in behind us was looking for a host/waiter/ Someone! Soooo, yea. Absolutely amazing food. We ordered the samosa chaat, chicken curry, shrimp korma, garlic naan, and finished with some chai. Everything was spot on. The curries had so much depth and warmth, the nuttiness of the korma was perfect. It's so hard to go out to eat these days for us due to having young children and just the overall cost of living, but dang this place is worth going back to time and time again. Honestly it was priced very fair, I wouldn't even be mad if they increased their prices a little because the food was just that good. Very expensive. Food took over an hour. We repeatedly let the server know we had a movie to make. No change in time. Then we asked them to box it up and they brought out plates. We had to leave w/ no naan or silverware or anyway to eat it because they ignored our requests to get it to go. No discount. Came for a weekday lunch which doesn't include their buffet but their menu options were plenty. The bread basket was perfect and left me and a friend with left overs. I liked that they offer a spice level for every entree. I usually order a fried cauliflower dish at Indian restaurants but the aloo gobi was still full of flavor. Went in over the weekend and got the buffet. Lots of good options, but nothing truly amazing. The naan bread was also mid. Service was ok- one person at the time handling all the tables...so it was a little slow. We've had better food and service during the week and highly suggest that over the buffet. read more

I have to start this review leading with the service! My BFF and I decided to celebrate our Christmas over dinner at Chaska. She is local to the area and has been wanting to try it. I'm driving up from Sanford so she knows that the weight is on her shoulders if not good, LOL! Our server Sai was most helpful to ask us what we like in food generally. He didn't stear us towards a specific Indian dish like, 'what would you typically order' but more general questions about flavors and spice level, proteins, etc. My BFF ordered a dish that was very new to her. I got Curry because I love Curry! We also order the Vegetarian Samosas which were the BEST! I've ever had!! Sai helped us with the spice levels depending on how how we thought we could go. My BFF got 10 because she loves things hot and I ordered Mild to Medium, which I found out later was a 6 but I'm not sure because my curry was not spicy at all. Anyway, the Bread Basket was also a hit! Loved the variety. As for entrees, the Chicken Rogan Josh at a level 10 was very spicy that my BFF said she may need to temper it down next time and I have NEVER heard her say that! LOL My Curry was flavorful but it didn't have any coconut essence to it like I usually get from Curry. This was actually a bonus for my BFF because she doesn't like coconut thus she doesn't eat Curry in most restaurants. She sampled mine and liked it with the exception of the mild to medium spice level; I think she is trying the Curry next time! The ambiance and atmosphere was pleasant and family oriented. Finally, back to the service; they remained on top of refills and where there was a sweet tea refill when ordering an unsweet tea am apology was given but for that small of an err no worries. I think this place will be a highlight of Holly Springs if the keep up the experience we had this weekend!! One thing I forgot to share was how we do breakfast when there's leftovers. The food is excellent. The bread basket is a perfect compliment to any of the various foods that Chaska offered. The staff was polite and attentive, and it was very fresh and hot--both temperature and spice. Medium spice is plenty for the American palate. I'm basing my review much more on the food, rather than the service. It just opened, so I can understand some challenges as they figure things out. While the staff is very nice, I had an extraordinarily challenging experience picking up my order and it seemed like wait times for food at the tables weren't great. Hopefully they figure it out soon. The inside was reasonably nice, and there is a fair amount of seating. We ordered two appetizers - Samosas and Gunpowder Gobi. The samosas were good, but I thought the Gobi was disappointing. It's essentially battered and fried. It's not bad, but I think would have been much better with sauce, like Gobi Manchurian. At $14 per order, I'd expect something better than what was served. For dinner, we had Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both dishes were excellent. The portions were good, with plenty of chicken. The curries were smooth, creamy, and very flavorful. It was a good meal, and I'm happy to have an option for Indian food in the neighborhood. If they can hit their stride with ticket times we'll be back often. read more

We tried Chases tonight--soooooo good! We had shrimp korma and Biryani. The spice on the biryani, for this white girl, was spicy enough. The korma needed more spice. I will order that "medium" next time. Great portion sizes too! And the bread basket was also very good! Our derive was wonderful! We were well taken care of by the staff. All checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was very nice. I read that the background music was very loud... not at all tonight. Went tonight, excited to try the new Indian restaurant in town. I had read several 'just okay' reviews, but took it with a grain of salt given this is a new restaurant. We were seated quickly and the server took our order quickly. I expected to wait a while as there were a number of parties there already. Shockingly our order came in 10 minutes. The food was hot and everything delicious. The best naan I've had. The servers were attentive and checked on us regularly. I'm so happy to have a good Indian restaurant close by and look forward to returning and trying more of the menu. read more

Wow! Soo glad to have an awesome Indian restaurant in Holly Springs! The staff were all so kind and attentive and the ambiance was very clean and beautifully decorated. They even helped a gentleman in a wheelchair out of his seat and wheeled him out the door for his wife. Now, the food was so so good- I could not stop eating!! I have ordered from here a couple of times in the past, and it was good. Tonight, however, was a different story. It seemed like we were served last night's dinner. The lamb was mushy, the dahl was watery, and the tandoori was floating in oil. I have ordered the same items in the past, and they were excellent. I don't know what happened tonight. We tried this place based on excellent reviews on a local Facebook group page. Ordered Rogan Josh with chicken, garlic naan and chicken with Makhani sauce. First off the staff was very friendly on the phone and when picking up the order. They were quick and helpful. The food was delicious! Our two year old loved the chicken with Makhani sauce (as did I) and my husband loved his Rogan Josh. The naan was soft and fresh. I would definitely like to go back and eat there because it was a very warm and inviting space with a cool vibe. We will definitely be regularly ordered here! read more
