My daughter, son in law and 2 great granddaughters an me. We landed here at 6:00pm on a Tuesday night. We were seated right away and put in an order for Mac and cheese for my 2 great granddaughters when we gave the drink order. When they filled our water glasses they brought out 2 cups with lids and straws for the children. A basket of bread with butter helps to settle the little ones. My daughter of course brought crayons and paper for the 2 little ones to keep occupied. My daughter had her favorite appetizer which is Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. The kitchen sent out the Fried Calamari quickly- and it was cooked perfectly! It was golden, hot, crispy breading and soft calamari interior, not over cooked and rubbery. My partner ordered the Chat Classic Burger, medium well- I ordered a medium cooked Steak with brussel sprouts and potatoes. I was only able to sample my plate because after letting my partner sample my order- she decided she wanted my plate instead. Came here for a belated Mother's Day brunch with reservations and still had to wait 10 minutes for our table even though there were plenty of tables opened. Service is pretty slow since it took a while to seat us and then take our orders. The food was nothing special, pretty standard American food. The menu is fairly big and has a good selection to choose from. We ordered the meatball and fried calamari for appetizers. Both were ok. The calamari was a bit too greasy and needed some salt but at least the batter was nice and light. For our main, we ordered the chicken paillard, the chocolate chip pancakes, lobster Cobb salad, an omelette and eggs Florentine. The chicken was ok, nice and thin so wasn't too dried. The salad on top was nice though. The pancakes was for my daughter and somehow there was a miscommunication because it's supposed to come with fresh fruit but they brought it to her with just syrup. When I asked, she said the kids pancakes doesn't come with fresh fruit but we were charged the same amount. That was annoying. The lobster Cobb salad was disappointing because it said chunks of lobster but it was more minced lobster. The dressing was too light and lacked flavor. I had to ask for a different dressing on the side to add to the salad. The omelette and eggs Florentine was nothing special either. Overall, I didn't think this place was worth the price. Service was okay. Our table server was excellent. Two different hosts were less than helpful and could care less we were there. My family loved the salad, my wife really liked the mojito, my son and I really liked the ribs and meatloaf. The service was better than adequate. The beer on tap was terrible. My server happily listened and graciously offered me the taste of a different draft beer which was somehow even skunkier and more sour than the first (both were supposed to be crisp pilsners of which I was very familiar). Extremely SLOW service and one person in our group was so hangry that he almost lost his mind. We waited an hour and half for our food. It is either under the company/owner that operates Lusardii's but Chat 19 is head and above its sister restaurant in terms of services and team works. I've passed this place a few times while in Larchmont so I decided to give it a try tonight for dinner. Chat 19 is a nice looking restaurant - it's spacious, nicely decorated, and gives off a warm aura. Moreover, the staff is friendly; the hostess and our server were both friendly and attentive. The menu has a nice variety of traditional and new American dishes. We decided to start with the fried zucchini strips - they were served with lemon wedges and marinara sauce on the side. The zucchini was crispy though the marinara sauce lacked flavor. For my main I had the warm brussels sprouts salad which came with bacon, dried cranberries, and greens dressed in a bacon vinaigrette. The salad was okay, it was tasty but the brussels sprouts were either intact or halved which made it a pretty chunky salad; I personally would have preferred they sliced or chopped them. Though the staff was friendly, the food was average and kind of pricey. I would consider coming back here to explore the menu more, but I'm not running back. read more

I arrived for an early brunch at 10:40am (as per their schedule they open at 10) we were instantly told by a waitress to wait 15 minutes as they were not ready. NP we went and waited in our car. A minute later we see that 2 women went in and were seated. I went in and asked why we had been told to wait but not the others. A rude waiter began yelling an answer though I was speaking to the manager. This was before noticing my partner who was behind me (and twice his size). The manager (i think) was kind and apologized and said we no longer had to wait. Our waitress was also rude, and appeared annoyed. We were so uncomfortable, but did not want to allow poor customer service to deter us from trying the food in our new town. I had mussels which were delicious. So was the sangria. Our meals; eggs benedict and steak and eggs were good. I probably would have returned for the food, but with so many nice places nearby I rather not. For American style grills it's the meatloaf (at least to me.) Meatloaf seems like such a simple dish but when you love homemade meatloaf, it's hard to find an "outside" meatloaf that lives up to it...until now. Made a reservation for 8 on Friday night. Arrived and the place was 80% empty. We were jammed into the corner at a round table. No room for glasses on the table and yet they were unable to give us more room. Service was poor. Food was ok but they ran out of their signature dish and some dessert.
