Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese with potato cakes
Kathy T.

Husband and I came back for breakfast for the first time in awhile... We were greeted like we were part of the family, which made us feel good. My husband ordered 2 over medium eggs, home fries, bacon and toast and I had my regular there which is there waffle asked to be cooked well done, covered with extra whipped cream and bananas. We both ordered coffees. Everything came out hot and fresh. We definitely left full.

Chicken Croquettes with mashed potatoes and filling

My friend & I stopped here for lunch today. It was our visit. It was FANTASTIC!! We both had Chicken Croquettes and they were the best I've ever had! They were HUGE, tasty and not alot of fillers. We both chose mashed potatoes and filling for our and they were equally delicious! The portions were also huge, enough for leftovers later! The price was great for the amount of food we got! And last but certainly not least, our server John was AWESOME!! He was so pleasant and personable! He was attentive to us and our requests. We joked with him about cranberry sauce and he brought some right out for us! Besides the excellent food, John made our experience even better! I highly recommend you stop in for some great food and excellent service! Thank you John!

Cheeseburger soup

Not too much to say really... I was pretty hungry and in the area... found this place on here.. so we went in. The menu said homemade soup, and I'm a big soup fan. Since I generally don't like to order breakfast after 11 am because it's usually not very good at most places that late, I decided to try the soup. They had 'cheeseburger soup' as one of the options, and the one I went with. Before I go further... let me tell you that there was no hurry in this place. No hurry to bring a menu, no hurry to take your order, and no hurry to bring it out. For the size of the place and how not busy they were, I couldn't see any excuse to be so slow. Back to the food. So I ordered the soup and french fries. I was thinking it would be a delicious version of a cheeseburger, with a side of FF. The soup was barely manageable, and painfully disappointing. It was extremely thick, luke warm (bordering on not hot enough to eat, after waiting too long for it to come?) and just a very off combination of textures. The fries were ok.

Thanks to YELP we found this awesome diner on our way to white water rafting in Pennsylvania. It's a small diner with a lot of personality! And it's owned by an Egyptian family!! We were seated quickly and our waitress, Barbara, came right over with hot coffee. The coffee was fresh. The prices are unbelievable here. In New Jersey an omelet is two times the price. I got the West End Benedict which is two pouched eggs on an English muffin with cheddar, bacon, and tomato. I didn't want the bacon or hollandaise sauce so I asked if I could get spinach instead of bacon and the sauce on the side. The waitress had no problem with my request. It also comes with homefries. I got my homefries well done with onions. Sooo good. Three of my friends got omelets, their homefries well done with onions and my other friend got 2 eggs scrambled with sausage links. They all raved about the food. For five of us to eat breakfast with coffee and juice included it came out to be $42. WHAT! For the amount and quality of food you can't beat it. In Jerz for five people to eat breakfast it would easily be over $100 at any diner... probably more. If you're ever in the area stop here! You will not be disappointed!!!

Eggs and pork roll

Stopped here on way to friends house for Breakfast. Okay we were a bit put off by the Trump Store next door lol but hey that's not their fault . Unlike many we are a bit paranoid about masks and social distancing so we were thrilled when we saw every other table blocked and all staff wearing masks. So glad we went here . Food was great. Just what you want for a big country breakfast. Service was fast and excellent and cheerful. We really felt like we stumbled onto a real find. I had the eggs and chicken fried steak with gravy ... glad my health conscious friends weren't there... worth every calorie Definitely this is a great breakfast place .. the breakfast skillets also looked amazing. Check this place out !

Turkey club n citrus salad

Solid diner. Can always judge a diner by quality of turkey club. Good size, fresh turkey, lots of bacon and a good price of $9.95. Small diner. It's clean with efficient service. Big menu for such a small place. I will return.

I have never gotten what I ordered and it wouldn't matter if I did. ALL of their food is horrible. Staff are completely incompetent.

I cleared off my own table, so I can sit down. I brought a large Nutella iced coffee. For $7 and was there for about 30 minutes and tables were still dirty. My iced Nutella coffee was ordered because I heard from multiple people that it's their best iced coffee. I thought I was crazy, because my Nutella iced coffee, looked and tasted like iced plain coffee with cream. There was no Nutella or any sweetness at all. I met my daughter and asked her to taste my iced coffee and she said the same thing, it tastes like coffee, cream and ice. No other flavor. For $7 , that's insane. Since it was New Year's Eve, I get the staff was having fun. Just should of made sure tables were cleaned off for new customers to sit and to make coffee the way it should be made, instead of getting confused because you were talking about that evening and what you're all gonna do. They do have a membership, to enter your phone number , and after a certain amount of coffee you get a free cup. I at least got credit for my iced coffee that I couldn't even drink.

Super-bowl catering 1/2 tray of eggplant parmigiana for the WIN!…read more I placed the order with staff a couple of weeks ago and knew right away when I picked up the tray it was going to be delicious , it was heavy and filled to brim with goodness. Shout out to Mr Sauce for preparing and assembling the parmigiana. Layer after layer of awesome sauce, eggplant, cheeses and seasonings. Truly tasty and satisfying and can't remember the last time I've enjoyed eggplant parmigiana for this good .. . aaah, yes, my moms! While there, I also purchased a container of broccoli rabe and one chocolate chip biscotti. Both were authentically prepared with quality ingredients resulting in great flavors. If Italian is your crave and you want to eat like your nonna cooked, stop in, sit down at the family table and order a daily special or just from the regular menu. You will your choice!

The plates may look a little messy at times but the taste is there. The place is small. REALLY small. Just a few tables inside and a few outside when the weather is nice. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table when ready. Drinks are cans/bottles from a reach-in and desserts are available as well. The staff is great. Definitely a small family operation. They always have a smile and are willing to accommodate you to the best of their ability. My only little complaint is that they seem to close randomly for different reasons. I'm not saying they aren't good reasons, but they happen pretty often. Get here if you can, you won't be disappointed.

The Meadowbrook Diner has been around for decades (most likely built in the 60's from old aerial…read moreviews I found) and is more of a cozy old fashioned cash only dining car experience. It was the most expensive of the breakfast diners in the area, but they probably have the best crispy home fries you'll get in these parts. We sat in a window booth with a view of the parking lot and 209. You get a feel of nostalgia when you look around. Paper advertising placemats, small pattern tiled floors, stainless steel accents mixed in with wood paneling and a line of classic counter stools with a fountain base. I remember when this area had a lot less traffic (a lot less City folk). Our server was a really nice older woman who was sweet to my kids. Food wise you'll get breakfast on one side of the menu and a mix of sandwiches, platters, soups, sides, salads and desserts on the other. The kids loved their hot chocolate with whipped cream and the coffee was a delicious roasted blend that was topped off frequently. I ordered eggs over easy, home fries with rye toast and house made sausage. The sausage was alright, a little chewy, but man those home fries were so crispy and delicious. I would order this meal over and over, but probably substitute a different meat. My wife enjoyed a sausage omelet and the kids enjoyed their Mickey Mouse pancakes and scrambled eggs with a bagel. Remember cash only and I didn't see an ATM on site. If you want to enjoy a country feel in a place that's been in this area for a long time you'll enjoy the Meadowbrook. Thanks guys!
