A Night Worth Keeping I almost canceled this reservation after reading reviews saying the staff wasn't kid-friendly and that families felt unwelcome but our experience was the complete opposite. We brought one teenager and one child, and our server Joseph was incredibly attentive. The service overall was some of the best we've had in Miami warm, interactive, and genuinely welcoming. Whatever those reviews were talking about, it definitely wasn't our night. Sharing plates, filling tortillas, passing bites the whole thing felt like dinner and an experience wrapped together. What We Ordered at Château ZZ: * Prickly Pear Margarita - Bright and refreshing. * Smoked Margarita - Bold, smoky, delicious. * Lemonade - Tart and perfect for the kids. * Guacamole - Fresh, creamy, herb-loaded. * Calamari - Light, crispy, addictive. * Mexican Caesar - Crisp, tangy, and way better than expected. * Sweet Corn Elote - Charred, creamy, packed with flavor. * Lobster Garza - Tender, rich, beautifully plated. * Chicken Verde - Flavorful, juicy, tortilla-ready. * Snapper - Fresh, flaky, bright. * Roasted Poblanos - Smoky, soft, and delicious. * Churros - Total show-stopper. * Frozen Hot Chocolate - 10/10. I added it to my cappuccino. * Cappuccino - Cozy, creamy, and perfect with the chocolate. Warm night, glowing room, perfect service, happy kids, and desserts that don't just hit they perform. This place absolutely deserves a spotlight.

What an experience! Our meals were delicious! We started with the guacamole and chips, then the ribeye tacos and scallops. Our dessert was over the top! The churros and the chocolate I Ed cream with whip cream. It truly is a beautiful restaurant!! Can't wait to return!

Enjoying a mocktail and a glass a wine at the lounge while we waited for our table.

Chateau ZZ is absolutely stunning. From the moment you arrive, the entrance feels like you are stepping into a lush garden, setting the tone for a beautiful and elevated evening. The lounge is just as gorgeous and a great spot to enjoy a wine or mocktail while waiting. We were seated in the lounge for about 15 minutes even though the restaurant itself was empty, which was a bit puzzling. The service throughout the night was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and very apologetic when things did not come out exactly right. My lamb chops were cooked well done instead of medium rare. I was not planning to reorder, but they insisted and offered to quickly prepare either prawns or fried fish. I chose the prawns and was content with the flavor of the three large prawns that followed. Overall, the food was very tasty and everyone at the table was happy with their dishes, including two young kids. The chicken was moist but a little bland. The ribeye steak was full of flavor. The spicy tuna was good, but the portion felt small for the price. Many of the dishes leaned very spicy. The only side we ordered was rice. They brought out warm tortillas that were light with a really nice flavor, and all of the sauces were delightful. The guacamole was delicious, though some felt it had a bit too much lemon. The octopus was the standout of the night and easily the best dish on the table. The pacing of the meal was slow and we were there for about two and a half hours. Everything felt overpriced in my opinion, averaging about $150 per adult for seven adults and two young children. The French Sauvignon Blanc was excellent. Others ordered beers and a passion fruit martini that they could not stop talking about. In the end, we all agreed the ambience and service were truly delightful and carried the experience. The setting is special, even if the food did not always match the price point. Rating: 3.8 out of 5

This restaurant is stunning and unique! I would recommend sitting in the solarium, the room with windows on all sides, but the main dining room is also beautiful. The star of the show for us was the chicken main entree. All main entrees come with a platter of delicious sauces and tortillas. The sauces were amazing!!! The Mexican Caesar and ceviche were also good but nothing absolutely standout. Look at photos of the tuna tostada before ordering because it was definitely not what we were expecting . Overall great meal and beautiful ambiance

Wowowowowow! This food and service was incredible! This is a hidden gem I never knew about (clearly I need to be out more). We had a reservation for a friends birthday and it did not disappoint. They wait for everyone to arrive to seat you. However, while you wait you can enjoy a drink at the bar. Upon being sat, there is marvelous service. You are not left unattended and they truly care about your experience. Our table ordered multiple items as recommended by the waiter. We were able to try multiple items and it did not disappoint. I have to say my favorite part were the beans!! All the food was magnificent. It is on the pricier side so beware.

We went to celebrate a special birthday, and managed to reserve a table in the beautiful courtyard. We had their smoky margarita and it was amazing w/ mezcal, naranja, elote and lime. We had their spicy tuna and lobster & jalapeño tostadas, they were very good. We also ordered their stuffed squash blossom and woodfired peppers. The food and ambiance was very good but our service was average which is why I downgraded it a star. The restaurant adds 20% service charge so some places do not make an effort as the tip will be on the bill irrespective if deserved or not.

I honestly had never heard of Chateau ZZ until I was invited for a birthday dinner. What an incredible experience for our party of 8. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our server was great and took his time describing the different plates to us. I can't remember his name though. The atmosphere was that of a glamour dining room. The decor on point. The meal was pricy, but we all left satisfied, happy, and looking forward to eating there again. Some of our favorites were the Wagyu Tostadas, the dual sauce fish, the rice (who would've thought), the flan, and the churros. So, SO GOOD!

Beautiful restaurant. Reservation highly recommended. Street Parking limited and valet is $25-$30 . The fish and calamari was tasty. I was not aware this was a high scale taco spot. They have very LIMITED side dished . Service was fast and quick

What a giant disappointment! The beautiful dining room and ambiance of having dinner in an old mansion unfortunately does not make up for the less than stellar food. First, they were out of half the menu. Not kidding, every single thing I tried to order they were apparently out of. And none of it disclosed by the waiter ahead of time. Out of options and out of desperation, we ordered: Two tortilla soups - so spicy I was crying, only ate it because I was starving One porchetta to share - so fatty and dry, almost inedible Rice as a side was just so-so, too firm, not cooked enough. The sauces (or moles) were the best thing about the meal and that's just sad. Wine was ok. 20% mandatory gratuity added. Service friendly, but could have been better. Valet - expensive as there are no other options for parking. Save your money and go to a place with better food.

Keep driving by this place and I wanted to try it out looks amazing by the outside and inside they have indoor and outdoor sitting and a member lounge upstairs super cool place very dark the owners is the same as carbone and dirty French and more that's the type of look they have in this place but this place sells Mexican food I would highly recommend this place food was a 10 and drinks were amazing and not that expensive . I'm be coming back to this place :) Reservations are hard to get but if you walk in and sit at the bar you will get a table .

    Bar area

Not sure why this place has less than a 4.5. Everything about this restaurant is to die for. We had the ribeye, arroz pilaf, calamari, and the pulpo. For drinks we had the frozen strawberry drink and the intro to mezcal (both amazing). There's always room for dessert so we had the churros. Those were massive! The service was top notch. They paid special attention to our dietary restrictions, made sure our glasses were full, clean the table periodically, explained the menu and gave us recommendations. I couldn't ask for anything else service wise. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. For the outdoor seating to the main dining room, the bar and the solarium. I recommend sitting at the solarium during sunset hour.

What a dining experience to remember! The interior was so beautiful and the impeccable service and of course, delicious meals made it hard not to leave - we didn't want our experience to end! Would highly recommend the octopus starter - each bite is crunchy but soft and reminiscent of eating pepperoni or sausage with that kick of heat with the chili oil. The star of the show was really the Branzino - both sauces, rojo and verde, were absolutely delicious on their own and with the DIY salsas/taco pairings. I really don't understand why Chateau Zz's has a low rating on Yelp and Google - but if I could, I'd want to gatekeep this place!

Was able to enjoy and evening here with a friend that is a member. A great experience and fun to be able to go to the member only area upstairs.

Parking was a bit challenging due to the limited number of spaces, but once we walked inside, the experience more than made up for it. We were warmly greeted by Carolina, who also became our server. She was incredibly patient and took her time walking us through the menu, explaining each dish and how everything is prepared. Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! Before going, we called the restaurant to ask if they would be showing the World Cup games, and we were told they would be showing all of them. Based on that, we expected a good viewing experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There aren't enough TVs, many of the views are obstructed, and we actually had to move to the bar just to see part of the game. Even then, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the match at all. When we asked the manager about it, he told us that ownership's instructions were to play music instead of the game's audio. That was especially surprising considering this is a Mexican-owned restaurant and the match was a Mexico World Cup game. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. To be fair, the restaurant was only about half full, so this wasn't a situation where the staff was overwhelmed by a packed house or unusually heavy demand. I was there with two female friends. I ordered a martini while my friends simply asked for water. The bartender reacted as if asking for water was somehow an inconvenience. We weren't even served chips and salsa until we repeatedly waved down members of the staff and specifically requested them. The bartenders consistently ignored us. My friends waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came back so they could order their martinis. We later ordered guacamole and the Leña skirt steak. The guacamole arrived promptly, but the steak never did. When we asked another bartender to check on it, he looked in the system and told us there was no food order entered at all. This was unbelievable because the original bartender had described the dish, asked how we wanted the steak cooked, and appeared to take the order. He simply never entered it. When we complained to the manager about the missing food, he told us the kitchen was already closed but that he would "make an exception" and have the steak prepared for us. That response really upset me because this wasn't us asking for special treatment--it was the restaurant trying to correct its own mistake. I told him to simply cancel the order. He then said not to worry because he wouldn't charge us for it, as if not charging for a meal would somehow make up for the experience we had just endured. I declined the offer, but he responded by saying he would bring it anyway and that if we didn't want it, we could just leave it there. To me, that response was even more dismissive and completely missed the point. Throughout the evening, the bartenders were inattentive, dismissive, and consistently rude. Their attitude completely overshadowed what had always been one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove. By halftime, we had simply had enough. Instead of continuing what should have been a fun night, we decided to leave the restaurant and go home, where we watched the rest of the Mexico match in the comfort of my home. Sadly, that turned out to be the best part of the night. I'm writing this review because I know Koko is capable of much better. My previous visits have always been enjoyable, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, if you're planning to watch a World Cup match there, I would strongly recommend choosing another venue. While they may tell you they'll be showing the game, the viewing experience is poor, the game audio is replaced with loud music, and based on our visit, the service was, without question, the worst I've experienced there since the restaurant opened. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because Koko has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and I'd like to be able to recommend it again. Unfortunately, after this experience, I simply can't.

With the Miami heat, that little extra attention made a big difference. Francisco provided outstanding service. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all of our questions, offered great recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The drinks were fabulous--we enjoyed several different margaritas with a variety of flavors, and every one was delicious. I can't remember the names of all the dishes we ordered, but I can honestly say everything we tried was amazing. The food was flavorful, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Between the outstanding service, incredible food, delicious cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, Bakon made my birthday celebration even more special. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Wynwood. I'll definitely be back!

Having stayed till closing of two music week events the prior to evenings, this was in my mind a great recovery meal. Despite the name, this restaurant is not just Mexican, but actually fusion with Uruguayan cuisine. The main courses focused on that area, and the tacos had a lot of exotica such as ear and tongue. Given my preferences, and my stomach, the only basic options that I would get were there Al Pastor and chicken tacos, five dollars each. The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. When I went to the bathroom, the handle on the door was damaged. Besides that, in the end I was not feeling the place especially that there was a mandatory gratuity.

We were starving and ordered quickly, got our food after just a few short minutes along with two trays of sauces and fixings. The quesabirria was INSANELY delicious, and the tacos were too. We enjoyed a glass of maracuya which is always so nice. Friendly and quick service on top of yummy food makes it an easy restaurant to keep going back to.

The music selection is fire though and I was jamming out the whole time while waiting for my food. I complimented them on the music selection and they mentioned the owner is dominican and puerto rican which explained the great music selection. I was helped out by Adrian and his service was helpful in finding what dishes to order. I took my food to go and it was piping hot, definitely made fresh to order which I enjoyed. The nachos were what I was most eager to try as they are all the rage on social media. They lived up to the hype and that nacho cheese is absolute gold. I love that it's served in a pizza box. It just makes it iconic. It travels well and everything was still hot when I got home. The Al Pastor taco was just okay, nothing to write home about but now the steak burrito was really really good. I love that they don't have rice in their burritos and instead replace it with potatoes, which is absolutely delicious. They give two different types of salsas with your order plus limes and the green salsa is unreal. Add it to everything for a flavor boost! All in all this place is fire and if you're craving nachos, this is definitely the place you should come to get your fix!

Ever since I tried their steak Caesar salad I've been obsessed. That was my usual from there for 5 years. 2 nights ago we ordered from uptown and when we got our order I was so angry I didn't want to even eat my food. 1. Steak literally looked like wet dog food 2. They no longer do the frisée salad instead It's just plain old Romaine lettuce 3. For some reason they stopped giving their salsa now which was the highlight of my order 4. The container is so small and the egg was so hot that it melted all the Parmesan cheese and it was just a nasty glob 5. The eggs were so over boiled that they had that grey tint on the yolk and smelled horrible 6. 2 salads cost almost $50 so jokes on us Never again!!! I've literally banned uptown from our house. The audacity to charge so much for a mid salad topped with nasty dog food looking "steak"
